My Best DH Build

Demon Hunter

Med/Long range. Chain Gang and Frost Arrow to slow things around me, Hail of Knives and Suppression Fire for large groups and discipline regen, Gloom and Breathe Deep for when things get hairy and hate regen. Was thinking about taking Shadow Glide (indigo on Shadow Power) instead of Gloom because movement speed might help more than dodge sometimes.

Anyway, the passives speak for themselves. This build aims to be less of a boss build and more of a "everything else" build. Thoughts?

Vengance isn't typically a good passive unless you have preperation (punishment). I consider entangling shot to be redudant with elemental arrow. For the purpose of "everything else" this build is fine, as long as theres no tough singular targets.

Fixed? Spike traps for hatred generation and debuffing. Also took the passive for it. Was also thinking about taking the Sharpshooter passive instead of Vengeance.

Not really, I feel that traps are espacially gimicky. Are you really trying to avoid getting any single target damage? Sharpshooter is bettter for single target encounters with the 2h crossbow, as you wont crit as much, as to not lower the bonus.
I don't think that traps are gimmicky. That button lets you lay down 7 traps for 35 hate and pretty much block off enemies in one direction. Good for when you might be surrounded or attacked from multiple sides.

I guess I could take rapid fire or some single target damage and trade numbing traps for sharpshooter.

That would require you to make 7 actions, and probably wouldn't be viable mid combat, least not compared to entangling shot. You already have a hatred generator anyways, with similar damage to more targets.

Took impale and the crit passive. Impale will be my big single target attack that I start the fight with. I definitely agree with trying to keep redundancy to a minimum -- good calls so far.
