This isn't just a "let the bodies hit the floor" game.

...and substitute my own:

Diabolical Masquerade
Summoning
Immortal
Kampfar
Windir
Burzum
Elffor
Limbonic Art
Old Man's Child
Dimmu Borgir

Have you sacrificed a goat today?
In all honesty Ill listen to the game's music until I've heard it all. Then when I'm tried of listening to it I'll listen to this....

The best part about the Diablo music is that it's pretty sparse. It makes for a much more dynamic play experience, also giving the music more impact when it builds and crescendos.

Don't get me wrong. I like several bands that play some pretty hard stuff. But even the most diverse and dynamic of those bands won't be substituted in place of the full Diablo sound experience on my first play through. :)

Well said, I fully plan to let the in-game music sink in. No sense in missing something the first time around. Once it's ingrained into my brain I'll likely make the switch.

I haven't, is it a full moon tonight or something?
I'm with Zarhym. First playthrough will have no outside music.

I'll be needing my own soundtrack to play through the later difficulties though. As such, I'll be making use of my collection of guilty gear songs. Those games had the best music to kick !@# to.
two words: mac miller.
Change the game's soundtrack to Aqua, imo. Every dungeon, Barbie Girl.

LOL!

Yeah, that selection of rancid death metal is not to my liking either. I love metal, just hate death metal with growling instead of singing.

Progressive metal FTW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ-v32p6Nzo

I just wish it was more orchestral like LoD's soundtrack.

Do we know if it isnt?

Matt's got 90 minutes recorded for D3, but im not sure about later tracks. (Are they out somewhere? Did I miss that happening?)

Hrm, I actually liked their second album though it's not something I have on my iPod. Barbie Girl was just annoying though. Bleh

Space Jam remixes are an acceptable substitute for Barbie Girl.
Also;

Once I have heard the soundtrack to D3 9485734057 times, I feel that this song is so very appropriate for this game:

Radiohead
LCD Soundsystem
Arcade Fire
Crystal Castles
Beastie Boys (especially now since I never got to see them live :( )
System of a Down
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mastodon

You like Progressive Metal, and yet hate growling?
I have the band for you, bro, it's called Opeth.

You will be converted into accepting the growling overlords.

I'm really looking forward to putting on the headsets (just upgraded) and really getting immersed in this game, for me the soundtrack/score is a big part of it all.
Disturbed
Five Finger Death Punch
P.O.D.
Ozzy (and yes he put on a good concert at Blizzcon)
Saliva
Skillet
Pantera (some of it)

A lot of garbage here, but you completely made up for it with the Pantera!
