crazy graphics

Aus/NZ General Discussion
any one else getting unreadable scrabbled writing on the games tabs? it made the game almost unplayable, but i still enjoed the 4 hrs i spent playing the game with my son. damn sure it is my old (but once reasonable ) Radeon 3650 video card (is supported). off to the shops to see what i can upgrade it with tomorrow.
i really enjoyed the game play, did nt get killed but was over whealmed a few times. I hope every one enjoyed it apart from the frustrating launch
Hey, yeah I'm getting the same. Plus large chunks of the background etc are missing - so lots of triangles of empty grey space all over the screen. The character models are dotted with missing sections as well. I tried adjusting all the options, but no luck. I'm running an old card as well, Radeon 2400XP Pro, but the specs say that should be enough... Let me know if you upgrade your card and it helps?

Anyone else getting the missing chunks of graphics and screwed up characters?

Apart from that, it looks awesome and I can't wait to fix this annoyance get into it!
hmm i guess both of u need to update ur grapic driver

and it way too old to play D3 ..
PiratePete, I just found a fix for my issues in the tech support forum (see below). Following the games instructions and basic new game protocol, I downloaded the latest driver before playing the game, but it turns out the latest Catalyst driver, 12.4, has graphics issues with D3. AMD have released hotfix 12.4a, which actually fixed ALL my graphics issues - the scrabbled writing, the missing patches of screen - everything. Sweet! Thanks to AMD for jumping on that one so fast and to the tech guys for posting it.

Guess the old card has some life left yet Gankers... ; P

We've recently become aware that playing Diablo III with the latest Catalyst 12.4 drivers for ATI cards may cause some visual artifacts for specific hardware configurations. This issue affects users of ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards under Windows Vista and Windows 7. ATI Radeon HD 4600, 4700, 4800, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series products are unaffected, as is Windows XP.If you are using an affected card you may receive a warning from the game stating your video card is unsupported. This message can be bypassed by hitting the escape key, but you may experience issues when playing with these cards.Update: ATI has released a Catalyst 12.4a driver hotfix for the affected cards. Please check this link for more information:
