My solution is turn the sound setings to LOW (32)
,works for me anyway. :)
Having the exact same issues, making the game unplayable.

edit: I do have a Barbarian, but this problem persists even if I am not using Whirwind..
I was having the same problem, tha game disconnect me dozens of time. (Windows 7 64bit) Than I turned the sound settings to LOW (32), and after that, the game stop disconnecting. . . so this little trick maybe work for others too.
my settings has always been LOW 32 nothing helps.

Constant disconnect problems with whirl wind. Game is broken, fix it.
I'm getting disconnected immediately on log-in.
WW Spec, drop from game every game.

yeah.. so this issue has been known for more then half year by looking at previous posts.. What's been done about it? Are Blizzard looking into this and taking it seriously?

The fact that people are disconnecting from the games and don't have to re-login into their accounts is weird. Haven't had the problem on other characters.. only barb. doing whirlwind.
Customers get's frustrated and irritated whenever they try to work up the 5 elite-packs mf-buffer, just to get disconnected once its done or during the process. I understand if some decide to bin the game for this game-error.

Im on 1gbit connection, using Win7 64bit.
PC: ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional, 64gbram, Intel Core i7 3770K 3,5Ghz, Gigabyte HD7950 3GB PCI-E WF, OCZ RevoDrive 3 Max IOPS PCI-Express SSD, Hitachi UltraStar 15K600 600 GB, NTEL IO Raid Intel RS2WC080 SAS/SATA, 8 port, PCIe8X (RS2WC080)

Tried Everything.

Repaired function via game-software
Deleting-reinstalling
Changing graphic settings
Sound settings
Changed startup ability emulating different os in the Win7 shortcut.
Changed settings in router - opened up portsforward, triggers, dmz
Disabled All firewalls
Tried without router

Error still occurs. Fix ASAP or barb is useless!
I am having the same issue. I will be playing and get a "Network Error" randomly and it boots me to the character select screen, it does not require me to log back in.

My internet connection is rock solid. I have been pinging 3 different sources non stop while playing to ensure this. I have changed my graphics/sound settings, joined general chat, reloaded windows, set my gaming PC to DMZ status on my router, and disabled windows firewall. Do I have to sacrifice a chicken in order to play the game that I have paid for?

Asus Nvidia 560ti (current stable drivers).

Any Blues want to address this issue or are you guys going to let this thread go to 100 pages and hope an expansion is out by then.
Having the same problem .. I don't use a barb... I run a tracert to 12.129.209.68 and request times out. This was never an issue until recently.

I even have trouble connecting initially. ISP is fine, router is fine just for some reason i can't connect to server. Your servers are probably not connecting to anyone from my area (NYC)
I can confirm that I'm in NYC as well, and getting unbelievably frequent disconnects, and most times can't log in. =\
i am getting very bad lag, in Aust. Game unplayable as of last night, huge spikes in game and constantly around 600ms
Further update - I had to post my previous post from my phone - I wasn't even able to access the forums from my desktop. I'm normally on FIOS, I just jumped off FIOS and tethered through my iPhone to the internet on my desktop (AT&T) and now can access the forums and log directly in to Diablo III with no issues.

Serious night and day difference.
I've also been consistently disconnected from the servers in the middle of play. My internet connection is rock-solid, and the problem only seems to be happening with Diablo III. I've updated the firmware on my router as well as the drivers for my wireless network adapter, and am still having the exact same issue. My firewall is set to allow both incoming and outgoing frames for D3.

Clearly this is an issue on Blizzards end. I never seemed to have this problem before. I stopped playing for a couple of months and ever since I started playing again about a week ago, I've been disconnecting non-stop. I can play for maybe around 10 minutes until everything in game just stops. I then have to wait another couple of minutes for the error to pop up. When the error does finally pop up, I am prevented from even logging out or exiting D3, which results in me having to force-quit the program through the task manager. Annoying, to say the least.
I have had similar issues with disconnections. Playing normally then i get the message 'You have been removed from the game'' Boots me back to character screen and about 30 seconds later it says I've lost connection to the battle.net servers. This has been happening for over a month now, and after talking to multiple representatives, in multiple tickets... i gave up. Pathping shows issues once i reach ATT/NY. It seems like there is no fix for this, and it is frustrating because it happens usually once or twice an hour. It's dangerous on Hardcore, and it's just simply obnoxious on Softcore losing your 5 stacks.

This occurs on both the computers in my house.

No connection issues with other games, no issues downloading or using internet, firmware up to date, router has all the proper ports forwarded, flushed DNS, updated windows. It's clearly not on my end, which means it's in-between my connection and blizzard.
Same thing is happening to me, playing WW Barbarian, hit large mob after 5 mins of play "Client has been disconnected from the game"
I am facing this problem as long as I been playing barb and yet nth been done to fixed...

Constant DC everytime I spam WW, WTS?
Well at least ya'll have been able to play. I bought this game 4 days ago and always get a 3003 error so I have paid for a game I have never been able to play but maybe everyone posting here will have better luck on getting a resolution.

Now I'm getting disconected 10 sec after I login. Way to go Blizz.

The worst part is that I probably can't get a refound.
