Will Windows Surface play diablo 3?

Technical Support
Will windows surface tablet releasing later this year be able to play d3? I would like to know because I'm thinking for purchasing Windows Surface Pro in January 2013.

Here is a link to the tablet itself http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en/us/default.aspx
Only the expensive one (the one with a x86 processor)
It'll be integrated graphics on a slow ULV processor, so very poorly.
I dont think so. D3 is way to graphical for that thing and those things do not have much ram. The most Ram I have seen in a tablet have is 1GB. The processor in the pro version of the Windows surface could play D3 because it is a core i5 and it comes with plenty of space 64,128GB. The graphics chip is unknown as well as how much RAM is in it.
alright i am thinking of waiting for the pro version thats why i am asking. :)
Pro version should play it. Might have to tweak the graphics down a bit. My 3+ yr old laptop plays it. Windows RT tablets with ARM processors WILL NOT play it as only Metro Apps work on that. Although MS aren't calling them Metro anymore. Windows 8 styles apps or something like that.

Tablets with x86/64 processors = Desktop Applications + Windows8 Style Apps
Tablets with ARM processors = Windows 8 Style Apps only

P.S. You don't need as much RAM as you might think. I run D3 on a desktop PC with Windows 8 and only 2GB of RAM with no issues at all! (check sys req. to be sure however)
It's been said by Microsoft that the PRO version will be able to play Diablo 3.

Here is a link to the article.

Lots of other websites and articles are reporting the same news.

Considering this tablet is a windows 7 tablet:

And its a year old tablet. You can see the guy playing Diablo 3 on it.

Diablo III running on Windows 8 tablet

mainly the pro only can run desktop or laptop application and software. surface rt is only for its one applications nothing else. surface rt is mainly security and don't want a ton of stuff on your tablet, and only want to keep it for business related.

please do research before you think its only the ram on the rt when it is not. microsoft made it to restrict people on what they do.
Surface Pro has an i5 processor, so, it should.

Edit: err, this thread is... old.
