Diablo keeps redownloading recent patch

Hey, everytime i start diablo, meaning i can close it, and without restarting the computer, start diablo 3 again, it wants to re download the 12.1mb patch that was last released. It also downloads it like a dog, and i dont understand why. Like at the moment its been sitting at 41.5% for the last 20 minutes and not moving, any insinght on how i can fix this?

Try this:

1. Make sure that Windows is set to show hidden files.

Here's how to do that: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Show-hidden-files

2. Navigate to the C:\ProgramData folder and delete the Battle.net folder.
3. Navigate to the Diablo III folder and delete the "Updates" folder.
4. Launch Diablo III.

Let me know what happens.

I followed your instructions and now when i launch the game I get

"Failed to open a required file. Please check your internet connection and try again.

Please click the link below for more information or contact customer Support if the problem persists."

Error code: BLZPTS0000F
any weekend guys able to help out? Kinda unable to play the game...
Maybe your HDD is corrupted.
What makes you think that?
redownloaded the game. seems to be working fine now.
