Source of the Lag

Technical Support
Just curious.

I've got an i7 950 Quad, Radeon 6950, 12gb of ram and I've already turned the graphics down to medium.

I still get lag spikes here and there and on certain parts of the maps.
Is it due to Blizz's decision of making too much stuff server-side?

Cause I don't think it's my rig.
put the game on a ssd or thumbdrive, it will resolve resource loading lag.
It's most likely your internet connection.

this doesnt help.. myself and others still get major fps drops on places like rakkis crossing. (tried on 2x seperate SSD's now)
My game IS on an SSD already.
And it's not my internet.

I game a lot, and play a lot of FPS and some RTS as well.
There are never spikes from my end.
P.S.
It's more of a general question to you guys.

Is this common? and is it because of the Server-side decision?
My game runs quite well 97% of the time.

The remaining 3 has instances where the game goes from "non-snappy" (D3 isn't snappy), to delayed registering of commands.
And then the major 10-second screen barely moves kind of spikes.
Blizzards Cheap Servers
loading of asset stutter, a serious problem that has been around since launch, without a proper solution, probably never will be.
