Again, as per my previous post:

Aren't you thankful?

Yes, he should be.. the backlash should serve as a message, one that we hope is shouting at him loud and clear

BTW, there's a highly ranked post in this very thread that says, "shut down both AHs".

Just because its highly rated doesn't mean its the right thing to do. If they shut down the ingame AH's then the ingame AH's would just move to ebay and shady third party sites just like it was in D2 which wasn't a good thing. If you don't like the AH then opt not to use it simple as that.

I agree.... "EFF THAT LOSER....!" -AMIRIGHTJAYWILSON?
Ill copy this:

WAYS TO PROPERLY GIVE FEEDBACK

“I really like this game, but I was a little disappointed with x because of y. Here is how I think this could be improved.”
“I was surprised by the direction taken in this installment. Can you explain why you chose to make such a drastic change?”
“I find that {insert quest or zone} is too difficult” followed by some sort of proof, whether it be damage readouts, comparisons to similar levels, etc.
“x isn’t working properly” followed by a detailed description of what happened and what you were doing at the time so that the bug fix team can check it out
WAYS THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER, EVER GIVE FEEDBACK

“Your game sucks now. GG, {insert offending game company or employee}. I’m gonna go play {insert competitor product}.
“Holy crap, what idiot designed this? They should be fired or quit because they suck at their job.”
“F&#^ THIS S^&# YOU F^&*ING F^&S STEALING MY MONEY I WILL COME TO YOUR OFFICE AND KILL YOU”
“I pay {insert monthly amount} to play and you can’t even release a game that isn’t broken. GG.”
Ya know, there would really be no one to blame if you just listened to your Playerbase and Fix your S#$%. Telling people you know what is better and forcing your idea of "Fun" on them along with the BLATANT Cash grab of RMAH that required the DRM that everyone hates, does not win you awards and praises.
Wrong... Dislikes cause something to be lowly rated.

And obviously shutting down the AHs is not going to happen.... That's why i offered a better alternative.

i personally could be wrong about the highly rated and how it works -- however point me to this thread your talking about and i'll "dislike" it... i have searched -- not found anywhere... even when doing general search on it and sorted by popularity...
RMAH should be removed, in all honesty.
I jumped on HC a while ago, and thought to my self.. "damn I have no gold, lets check out the AH. Ah damn, I forgot, there is no RMAH, I guess I need to actually play"
I enjoyed myself much more even tho I died to lag 3-4 times. On Softcore, I could spend a measly dollar to get all the gear I need for level 1-59, and that's not enjoyable. Sure.. you can say that I don't need to use it, but its sooo EASY, that why shouldn't I use it?
I truly hope some day it will be removed. Make your money in good $40.00 expansions, not in a taxed RMAH. You're just giving botters more reason to bot.

Also, we need a reason to have white items. Why do they even drop?

That's why I suggested for them to increase stats on items that have not been AH'd. Then the AH would still be viable, but people could also have fun actually looking for loot (or trading for it).
Do what you have to do to make this game fun to play. Right now the game is in a terrible state, and it has been since release. I only started trying the game again recently after I heard Jay left.

The fans have spoken. And quite frankly I think we deserve an apology from Blizzard for putting out this incomplete product.
I take my earlier post back, there's actually nothing they can add to this game to get my interest back. I only came here in case there's some data analyst who evaluates forum postings with regard to account activity in game.

If they check mine, they'll see the forum posts I've made, and about 6 months of not logging into any Blizzard games at all whatsoever. This is after being a guildmaster to a huge guild in WoW, top tier for several characters, years of a WoW sub, 300 hours in on Starcraft 2, and a Witch Doctor that didn't make it past level 40 because D3 was such a dreadful game.

Combine this with the stupid Panda expansion, SC2's expansions costing 60 bucks a piece, I mean....seriously? You only release a Terran campaign then have the audacity to charge a full game's price for Zerg and Protoss campaigns???.

Then with the blatant disregard for customer desires in D3. My Witch Doctor was a blast to play with, I had the character rolled great. I was really enjoying the playstyle, but then Jay Wilson comes along and decides I'm not playing the game like HE thinks I should play. "Witch Doctor's shouldn't be so powerful when wielded intelligently by a skilled player, he needs to go through drudgery and roll a Barbarian!".

I can't mod the damn game and I couldn't even play for the first week because of the always-online DRM.

I've established a rule, that if a SINGLE PLAYER GAME requires me to be signed in, they don't need my business. I do NOT CARE if the game is the best damned thing since sliced bread. I don't care if it truly is an exceptional game with a riveting storyline, incredible gameplay mechanics, and scores the highest metacritic+user rating ever in the history of all videogaming. If it has online DRM I have no interest in it. I don't care about how much artistic creativity and hard work goes into it at all.

We didn't get that with D3 though did we? Instead of those defining qualities that should entice people to put up with !@#$ty DRM, we get this polished turd that quickly becomes derivative and boring.

Blizzard, you've ruined my impression of you. Rob Pardo, I direct as much ire at you as I do Jay Wilson for not having the stones to stand up to you and tell you that your ideas were completely idiotic. Instead he was just a corporate "yes man" with no integrity by what you've posted here. By attempting to take the heat off of Jay, you instead paint him in the light of a weak minded suckup fool.

If your "advice" is truly what comes from the top at Blizzard, then Blizzard is a company I will never again give a cent to. Change your tune, change your thinking. Start thinking about what customers want, not what you think is best for us and best for your bottom line.

Shove all this bull%^-* up your !@#.

No one can understand what you are crying about.

They said you would need to be signed up with internet connection before launching the game, you bought it because you wanted, dont buy a product without checking what it has to offer. Theres no feedback in your post, its just a childish hate wall of text.

hahahahah are you mad because you think they wanted you to play with a barbarian?
Demons hunters were op in the beginning, then they improved WDs and made barbarians op, they nerfed wizards and monks, now they are buffing wiz and monks again, dhs are normal, barbarians arent that op anymore, and Wds are great.

Because this is a good, constructive post am I right?

There are numerous very well worded posts in this thread with constructive feedback aplenty.

Any post titled "in defense of jay wilson" with anything after it deserves zero consideration. There is no defense of what was done with the Diablo franchise as a result of this game. People posting profanity, insults, and threats get banned. Ignoring the cause of so many people posting those things and just telling "kids" to "grow up" is just as inflammatory and divisive itself.

I honestly couldn't care less if you disagree with what people say and you are perfectly justified in defending the game if you feel that is the right course of action but telling people to "grow up" because they DARE to criticize the human face associated with a game they felt was an insult and travesty to what they were promised shows who the child is in this conversation.

People sometimes let their emotions into their posts and they cross lines as a result. Blizzard and the community as a whole is perfectly capable of policing their forums and the people who cross those lines get their posts deleted and their posting privileges suspended.

Hopefully the folks at Blizzard will actually read the contents of the good posts and add the bad posts into the category of those who agree there is a problem and learn from it, rather than take the position of just ignoring "kids" who need to "grow up" when this is the furthest from the truth in most cases.
I understood what he said perfectly. Due to his Experience with this game and its need for DRM, he will no longer purchase any other game that requires it. Also Splitting SC into 3 parts is a complete money grab, if you cant see that you are ignorant. The purpose of the RMAH was to "Provide players a safe way to purchase items that they may have felt the need to go to unreliable sources to acquire, compromising security."

Well if thats the case and it really was just to be a Nice additional option for the playerbase, why does Blizz Triple Dip you on all transactions?

Everything Blizzard does now Reeks of Greed.

Im waiting for a truely valid reason that the RMAH is hurting anyone ...

lets break this down ---

Botters -- they will be there with or without it -- check all the games their in now -- this is a BS excuse.

Pay2Win -- Who cares if johnny snot-nose payed to get his gear ... it's not a competition -- if it goes to affect some sort of rated pvp -- then this becomes a valid excuse.

it affects the loot that can be dropped -- BS ... give me a blue response that confirms this

There just isn't any viable reason that the AH's affect the game in any way at all...
about god damn time. hopefully the new person will bring back the tech tree damn it. why do i even have 120 dex for? why? why ? damn it ? so i could avoid reflect damage ? gtfo

all the people in here trying to act all mature like yea good job jay, oh yea the game was great.

are the same people who thinks their moms Civic Si is fast..

this is DIABLO 3,

hell i'll go back to playing D1 if i still had my playstation. the game was a 2 player co-op. most fun i had.
I tend to be disappointed with the hate wave that inevitably hits when the hype preceding a major game release like Diablo gives way to the reality of release. Also, to some degree, no matter how good a game is for its genre, it's impossible to live up to the memory of the last great predecessor that surprised us with something we hadn't seen before. WoW was that game for me, I can't imagine anything short of a wholly reinvented MMO experience that would cause me to spend hours fighting horde for no gear/rank/xp etc as I did at Tauren mill.

What's hard for me with Diablo however, and so frustrating, is how close and yet not, that it comes to that experience. The basic mechanics, the detailed artwork, and the overall tempo are excellent, and then you're, literally, more than a thousand Act III runs in, tens of thousands of elites kills down, and here's what you're looking at--another few thousands passes through Act III, so you can achieve... +100 magic find...

And not thousands of runs battling dynamic challenging content, honing your gaming skills all along, but thousands of mindless hours of speed grinding. Trying to figure out how to fine tune a build so I can run 3-6 chapters of Act III 30sec-1min faster so I can run it 12 times an hour vs 10 leaves me feeling like something has gone sharply sideways in my perception of what it means to have fun, indeed I feel like a junky, and its embarrassing. Yes, you can crank up the MP, load up some new acts in the rotation, but every derivation from the zombie speed grind path just means hundreds, if not thousands, of more hours on the maniac's march to paragon 100. All for that chance to spend a few more thousand hours afterward, a jabbering loon, 10k more DPS, 500 AR, tank build could be fun, gold to gear up my witch doctor alt, get him to sixty, and "it's only just begun..." is playing on the radio, I'm in 1408, I thought I was out, I hear myself saying.

Grinding along I'm thinking, well how about some healthy socializing... General chat, trade chat: www.zomgcheapgoldporno.com 10% off... I wonder whose real, up for some UBRS, I have this friends list, if only there were something in games where we could all communicate as a group... We can send out whispers or babble in the spam river, yet along we grind in the dark.

Anyway, I get that it's not an MMO, but with the microtransaction model, there is a stream of income component which suggest the potential to evolve the grind, DLC could be another option maybe? And for god sakes, custom channels! Anyway, I feel the foundation of this game is strong, but the trail off into the grind is a crushing, miserable road to nowhere. Updates about how this big PvP project ultimately fizzled into a limp worm of isolated two shot dueling, a crafting grind, and a speed boost on the paragon death march to infinity, are just an additional slug to the gut. Deep into the grind, waiting for the big PvP post from the sky, slugging it through the holidays, I hope you can appreciate what a puttering fart was laid by the pvp blog post. I hope you can appreciate that the gutter sniping frenzy over the tattered remains of Jay's legacy with Diablo, has nothing really to do with Jay Wilson the man, who no doubt is an inspired, exemplary talent in his field. Indeed, perhaps none of us have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the great Blizzard behemoth. Rather, he has, until now, offered himself, or been offered to us, as the face of the masthead of the development process. The hatred, I hope he understands, is not about him at all, this game will need to be more than many thousand passes through Act III, as until then the next and next figure head will only inherit the role of the doddering goat, all ephemeral promises and hollow reverence for what gamers deserve/can expect, etc. just fuel for the flogging.

Guys, it's not about you, it's not personal, we need something to get excited about. You started something great and fumbled at the brink, but everyone will celebrate a big thing, a true pvp system, a bold fresh content offering, and well pay for it and forget everything before.
