To clarify, these are the costs assuming you're starting from flawless squares.

If you're curious, the algorithm to calculate that was a simple one-liner

T = N[{Table[Sum[S[[1, j]] 3^(i - j), {j, 1, i}], {i, 1, 6}],

Table[Sum[S[[2, j]] 3^(i - j) 10^-3, {j, 1, i}], {i, 1, 6}]}];

Where "S" is the individual cost of each craft,

S = {{3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 20}, {30, 50, 80, 100, 200, 400}};

(in kilogold, which is why I inserted the factor of 10^-3)

Thank you, Bottle. Most helpful. Have made a link to keep me connected to your table.

I'll check if my Brady Guide has something that helpful

# of gems needed... To make the 1 gem to rule them all...

729/Flawless Sq - 1631 Tome of Secret if your going from here to the end...

243/Perfect Sq

81/Radiant Sq

27/Star

9/Flawless Star

3/Perfect Star

1/Radiant Star

Total (not including cost of tomes or gems just fees)

1.6M = Flawless Star gems: 3x Star + 12x Tome of Secret

5M = Perfect Star gems: 3x Flawless Star + 15x Tome of Secret

15.4M = Radiant Star gems: 3x Perfect Star + 20x Tome of Secret

Total (not including cost of tomes or gems just fees)

1.6M = Flawless Star gems: 3x Star + 12x Tome of Secret

5M = Perfect Star gems: 3x Flawless Star + 15x Tome of Secret

15.4M = Radiant Star gems: 3x Perfect Star + 20x Tome of Secret

I'm not sure I understand you here. The costs assume that you're crafting all the way from flawless squares. Otherwise, if you already have the gems from one tier lower, you don't need that much. if you have 3 perfect stars and 20 tomes, you only need 400k to turn that into a radiant star. However, if you need to turn 729 flawless squares and 1631 tomes into a radiant star, all the individual crafting fees to get there will add up to 15.4M gold.

correct, also showing the min value of cost of gem etc.
