Thanks for the reports! We've applied a fix that should have resolved the sudden increase in spam. Please let us know if you continue to see an abnormally high amount of spam.

I've been getting friend requests a lot as of late that are just spam as well.

an abnormally high amount of spam.

I wonder what "fix" was made that did not happen before.
You would think after this long and after so many attempts, it would BE "fixed".

"But just in case we didn't do it right the last 100 times, let us know if you see an abnormally high amount of spam..."

Makes you wonder if there is an acceptable amount of it? I thought any amount was abnormally high. Isn't that why Blizzard put a RMAH to sell gold? Hmmm. Must not be cost effective.

Someday you will learn that as long as there is money to be made, people will find ways to do just about anything within a game. A certain amount of spam is unavoidable, no matter how hard they battle it. Same thing with bots. That doesn't exempt them from working hard at keeping spamming and botting to a minimum, but it's just best to maintain realistic expectations.

I strongly recommend Blizzard handle these spammers in the following manner:

Thanks for the time being-I and my fellow D3 players appreciate it.

It would be nice if Bloodlegacy's post wasn't true, however. I'd like to see the spam bots be a rarity, instead of the norm.

Just wanted to jump in really quickly to confirm that there was a bug with our Report Spam feature today, which in turn caused chat spam to increase. That bug has since been fixed and you should all start to see a rapid decline in chat spam almost immediately.

Just this morning, I have seen endless gold spam bots and even had (4) E-mail Gold spam invites waiting for me. Seems like the "fix" worked like a charm!
Wold be nice to get a fix on your server hubs.
