Statistics of D3 Class Distribution

Demon Hunter

Have a look at these four charts

1. All Diablo III Characters by Class
2. Level 60 Characters by Class
3. Paragon Level Softcore Characters by Class
4. Paragon Level Hardcore Characters by Class

In softcore, DH is doing OK (neither the best, nor the worst).
In hardcore, DH is the least competitive, tie with wizard.
I must have missed your point. You were saying?
It because Barbs are easier to gear hence BOT hence most used. LOL
It is interesting that both barb and wizard gears are cheaper than DH's.
Barb is more popular than DH, while wizard is less popular than DH.

More precisely, if a DH players wants to survive and to have fun in
(medium-high MP games) of Inferno level,
he/she has to spend more golds/money on the gears.

My speculation about the status of DH.

1. DH is arguably the most playable class in D3;
2. DH is arguably the least effective AOE DPS class in D3.

Factor 1 competes with factor 2 so that overall DH is OK.
However, in certain circumstances, like hardcore and high MP games,
DH is less competitive than others.

You're talking only about popularity here? Well, on my side, I couldn't care less if I'm the only one playing the DH, as I just want the class to get better.
