Jan 27, 2011 Low Memory My Starcraft has been crashing and I've been getting low memory warnings. This has gone on since I recently built my computer in November. The recommendation for the game is 4Gb of ram and I have that. I tried even running lower settings and I still get warnings and sometimes Starcraft closes. I looked up the issue and heard that the game has a memory leak and I wanted to know how to stop this. Can someone help please, this is really frustrating.letsgohome3 Jan 27, 2011

Jan 27, 2011 Unable to see Units or Structures Hello. I have been seeing this game mess up for awhile on my friends laptop. Either it's every time or every other time I keep being unable to see my units or structures on random parts of the map. I can't select them but I see on the mini map that I have them there. When I start up a normal game sometimes I can only see 2 of my starting gatherer units and never my main building so I can't even build more units in the first place. I looked only through the first part of this form for the problem or the fix, but I will keep looking or will hope for a response. I know it shouldn't have anything to do with the performance of the computer itself too. Specs: Intel Core i5 M 540 @ 2.53GHz Ram- 4GB That should be just fine, but I might be mistaken.Aura3 Jan 27, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Critically Serious Graphic Card Issue. Hello, First, Sorry for my bad English grammar. I have found many articles about the graphic card issues in this forum, but none of these helped me solving my problem. My problem is I just bought an completely new Alienware 17x yesterday. I customized my Alienware that I think it is one of the best options which can run smoothly any epic games now including SC II. My graphic cards are CrossFire X Radeon HD 5870 coming along with i7 Q740. After spending the whole night to install SC II, I was so excited to log in and run the game with the best performance EXTREME........!!!! But..Boom..!!! Whenever I entrance the graphic part of option, the screen starts to be blinking and moving like somebody is shaking my screen. Then I try to play the game, however the screen s still blinking and disordered. As a result, I have to quit the game cuz it made me so annoyed. Follwing the instructions of some previous articles, I have checked my versions and drivers of graphic cards so that I believe they are the latest ones. One more things is after installing SC II, there was a notification about my graphic cards versions not compatible with the game. They linked me to the website to check version. But like I said above, the version of the direct X was 11. I have no clues in this case.I m so disappointed since I owned the best laptop in universe, but can not play the best game in universe SC II... Help me plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssMasteroGala9 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Sudden disconnection, 2 of 3 matches. I'm sick and tired asking Blizz a darn answer for my lag, I figured it out by myself after it sent me a feedback email asking for solution's happiness when the solution mail never came. But now it's more serious: they actually reduced my lag, by disconnecting me every time I would have a medium or higher lag spike. I'm fed up with "You were dropped!" as score dialog. Seriously Blizzard if you give a darn about your buyers make 'em happy indeed instead of asking them for feedback. Solve my darn disconnection issue or I'm off to play something else.Minion2 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Why wont Starcraft2 run better on my system? Shouldn't Starcraft 2 play better on my system? Right now the recommended settings say i should play on extreme, but it doesn't turn out well. Average FPS (Tested during story): Extreme(recommended): under 12 fps Ultra: under 12 fps High: 9-18 fps Med: 10-20 fps During the time in between missions on the ship I get about 45fps. Specs: Ati Radeon 4870 512mb DDR5 (graphics) AMD Phenom 2 X4 @ 3.0GHz (Quad Core processor) 4Gbs RAM (DD2 at 800mhz I think) 640GB HDD 5400RPM Shouldn't it run somewhat better than that? Jan 26, 2011 Switching to NA Hi so I currently own a LA account and just bought a NA account now and when i try to play it it says i need a language pack, where do i get it? Or do i have to download it all-over again? cos everytime i try to download it says that the current download is not authorized by blizzard and that i have to go to www.blizzard.com/account which i have done multiple times with no success. Please help, LA is desolated in Maters League i want to play ladder matches without waiting 5 minutes or 10 if it's night each time i queue up for 1v1 matches.MexGenius1 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Game freezes on exit When I click exit, the menu disappears and all I see is the space theme background, but the computer seems totally unresponsive. I can't alt-tab or hit the windows key, or hit the power button. Nothing seems to work so I have to pull the power plug and reboot. It just started doing this, but not every time... maybe it has something to do with parties or exiting too fast after a match? UPDATE: I thought I was clever and alt-tab out of SC before I shut it down and just used the close windows function from the desktop, but it appears that my entire OS TOTALLY locks up--I can't even move the mouse cursor. Plugging in speakers, inserting cds, and playing with a bunch of keys illicit no response, all of which should have windows 7 lighting up with alerts and actions. So I'm going to do a reinstall tomorrow ad hopefully this will be solved. On an aside, my sound plays a series of ticking/clicking noises when A match is about to start, as in, when a countdown starts. And yes, all of my drivers are up-to-date according to what I'm seeing. I use an intel core i5-760, a GTX 460, and have a Gigabyte UD3 mobo. Latest changes to my computer: Install Mcafee anti-virus Revert gfx card to stock speeds DL latest SC patch Change graphics to Extreme (still good frame rates) JAGX1 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Is this a phising email ? I received an email from noreply@blizzard.com (look legit to me) It said I requested a battle email changing which I'm not and told me to contact Blizzard Billing & Account Services but the link point me to some Phising website (http://support.battle.securityreview-admin.net/login.htm) . ... I didn't login to the said website but why their email Address look legit? Is someone trying to scam my battle.net account?Doremon7 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Downloader not starting up again Hello, Today I got the digital download working of starcraft 2 after many painful days of troubleshooting and port forwarding. I got it working after I tried downloading the digital copies of the diablo series. Unfortunately, the download for sc2 got to 86% and then randomly closed. Every time after I have tried to open the downloader it has refused to start again. Has anyone else had this problem before? Any suggestions?haLs1 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Region Issue I'm from Mexico City and I bought a collectors edition of Starcraft 2 in my nearest retail store. I installed it and entered my CD-Key but it was from a different region (North America). I can't play/add any of my friends here in Latin America. Please help... what should I do?Durden13 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Not available while downloading? Please help. Installed SC2 on my computer at the office and having a major issue. After downloading all the patches - when I boot it up - it won't allow me to click "find match" and constantly has a message "not available while downloading" when I hover over it? The top doesn't show that it's downloading any maps or anything else - and find match is greyed out. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I get past this!! =*(.Samuskai6 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 About the "you were dropped" issue. I live in Brazil and the mentioned problem started after i received one Dlink 2640b Modem/router/wireless. Before, i used one old poor modem called DSLink 260E, but that works well with Starcraft 2. A friend, that was having the same problem with the Dlink 2640b "insta drop", swaped his router for a 3com old modem, and the problem stopped. In Battle.net foruns LA, alot of people is passing by the same problem, but here is called "você foi removido", some user think that is a hack problem, others think that is a pc problem... But, Blizzard always says the same thing to they: - Send to us your dialx, maybe is your video card, ISP problem... Looking these foruns, i can see that people around the world are getting the same error, but using diferent modem/routers types. The only thing i can compare is the fact the major part are using/have Wireless hardware in the connection. I'm not saying that you guys are using the wireless, but that you have the hardware. I realy dont know were is the problem, i'm just doing some observations. Its very strange the fact when i use an older modem/router without wireless option my problems with insta drop stoped. I received grade A when i use testping.net and have 15mbps connection. Neglect of the Blizzard with this issue is disappointing. Tons of people in all battle.net regions are complaining and nothing was done yet. In my region Blizzard pretends the problem does not exist... Sorry by the bad english, i m realy disapointed with this problem, its ruining my game experience. Why battle.net 2.0 can't work properly? The problem is in newest modems and routers models? Should i stop in time and just use old hardware? Can i receive my USS 60 back?DurangoK0 Jan 26, 2011
Jan 26, 2011 Mouse Speed Issue Occasionally after playing several games in a row my mouse speed will suddenly spike even though the sensitivity in the menu does not change. I always play at 66% but I will sometimes have to move it to as low as 45% when this happens. Then a few games later this sensitivity spike disappears again and I have to move it back up to 66%. Is this a known issue or does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?Sckarr1 Jan 26, 2011

Jan 26, 2011 Computer Specs for HotS/LotV? Buying a computer to play starcraft (dont have a computer to play SC anymore, just this old notebook to browse online) and wanted to get something pretty cheap, something that can just play SC on lowest possible settings smoothly (maybe 2ghz dual core, 1gb ram, no graphics). TL;DR: Will the PC specifications for the SC2 expansion be the same, or will they require more of the computer? I dont want to buy a computer to play sc2 on lowest settings only to have it not be able to play the expansions.Belial4 Jan 26, 2011

Jan 25, 2011 Constant Disconnects from Battle.net today Starting this morning I've been having constant disconnects from battle.net both on the menu screen (achievement service disabled/restored and user portraits not loading properly) as well as during games. I had a similar problem a few months ago shared with other people on my ISP and it lasted a couple of weeks. I live in Toronto and use Rogers as my ISP. Here is a tracert to battle.net, not sure if that's the right IP to try but anyways... Jan 25, 2011 Account Locked issue ok so first off, this is my friend's account because I cant log onto my account. When i attempt to log in the following shows up: INVALID LOGIN "Our login system has detected a change in your access pattern." It then goes on to say, I must verify my account through the email message it sends to me. However, I never receive this email. Also, the account has not been used by anyone other than me according to the last online feature. The account is yaegz, char code 447. I wont give the email address. But i was wondering if a Blue could confirm that a message was sent. Possible Problems: 1. Aol/Netscape email doesn't accept messages from Blizzard. 2. The recent maintenance to battle.net caused something to happen. 3. I recently got rid of a virus on my computer. Stefan0 Jan 25, 2011

XP is KEY p.s. another thing u don't take into consideration is when your team mate leaves within 5 minutes of the game its the little details looked after that really matter blizzard!!!!! Jan 25, 2011 Can't Restart the Blizzard Downloader I'm trying to download and install SC2 on a computer, but I didn't realize how little space the C drive had and decided to save it on the D drive. However, I had already started downloading it on the C drive. Basically, every time I try to restart the Blizzard Downloader, it starts from where it left off and I can't have the option to restart and resave the download. I'm not really sure what to do. Should I install it anyway, uninstall it, and start the Downloader over?Rupture2 Jan 25, 2011
Jan 25, 2011 Invalid Login? Hoping this is just due to the maintenance. Anyone else getting this when trying to login to the game? Invalid Login Our login system has detected a change in your access pattern. In order to protect the account, we require you to verify your identity via a message sent to the email address associated with this account. Then when I try to login via battle.net, I get: Due to suspicious activity, this account has been locked. Jan 25, 2011 Game needs authenticating I understand that there are periods when battle.net isn't available, but telling me I can't play offline when I've bought/installed/played for hours is just not right. Jan 25, 2011 Can i get banned for macros? i only intend to bind stuff like "GL HF," "GG," "Meet me here," to my macro key. there was some speculation on forums and it was getting a little tedious reading the same things back and forth. I know the whole "1-action-per-key" rule, so I guess what I'm asking is binding "[enter] GL HF [enter]" defined as more than one action. Can i get banned for that or?choda6 Jan 25, 2011
Jan 25, 2011 The Cure for the ACCESS_VIOLATION error? I know many are plagued by the 0xC000005 error. And Blizzard refuses to acknowledge that this is not a god**mn overheating or RAM issue! I have heard word that this could be due to a particular fault in SCII's programming. Details are avalaible on this thread: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/109981203?page=1#1LazerKow2 Jan 25, 2011
Jan 25, 2011 Warning messages Is there anyway to make it so that the warning messages always sound? When I get supply blocked I have no idea because the message is on the side but no sound plays. I'd rather it be like in SC1 where you get spammed by messages.Demon0 Jan 25, 2011

Jan 24, 2011 Voice chat glitches - never works again In short, the voice chat system of Battle.net 2.0 is quite helpful. However, recently I have been having problems. I can't hear my friends, and they can't hear me either - or each other! We haven't had any problems up until a few days ago. None of us changed our settings, they were all the default/recommended for our setup. Our mic-checks worked fine, and our sound settings were normal as well. The voice chat system just decided to stop working! It has been on and off sometimes, but recently it hasn't worked yet for the past few days. Is there something wrong with battle.net? How can you fix this glitch??TheCerebrate1 Jan 24, 2011
Jan 24, 2011 Disconnect/Reconnect in a second. Hello there, Sometimes randomly while playing the game - usually in menus but started happening in game today - I'll get a message saying I'm disconnected from b-net, and achievement's won't work, then literally less then a second later, it reconnects. Today in 3 or 4 games in a row it did this and the message I get in game is "You were dropped!" then it kicks me back to the menu where it tells me achievement service is restored and I'm online again! Any idea what the hell this is or how to fix it?Talnoy2 Jan 24, 2011

Jan 24, 2011 How can I improve Starcraft 2 on my laptop? I absolutely cannot enjoy Starcraft 2 on my Toshiba laptop (have to play on my sister's Mac Book Pro). My CPU usage is usually 3%-11% when nothing is running, and the Physical Memory is 38%-39% (this is when I have Game Booster helping my laptop). The frame rate as I play is 1-12 fps :/. My laptop (vista) has Intel(R) Celeron (R) M CPU 520 @1.60 GHz 1.60 GHz processor, and 2038 MB (2Gigs of RAM). Is there any way I can improve my laptop without buying any computer parts to replace others?HaXepBce4 Jan 24, 2011
