The Blood of Your Enemy: (Trademarked) Ah, how nice it is to just relax back after you've murdered your enemy. Now you get that feeling without having to murder them! This blood comes from cloned version of everyone, and it tastes great in the small glass it comes in. Due to so much hatred towards Darkra and Mecha, I have multiple of them. And due to so many people being fed up with Zarkun's BSing I also have some of them. Flavored Popsicles: (Trademarked) The come in the flavours of raspberry, orange, lemon, bannana, strawberry, cantelope, and blood. They are the best choice for rejuvenating those writing talents of yours, or give you some if you lack such things. Flame-Broiled Ultralisk Leg: (Trademarked) Tastes good with the overly large amount of muscle, and fills you right up. Though you probably won't be able to eat it all, you still have to pay full price. Agrian Creep Fed Crop Plate: (Trademarked) Some good tasting Corn, bread, pea pods, and a few other vegetables served on an old iron platter, it is sure to keep you in good shape. Roach Soup: (Trademarked) A green soup of acid with chunks of Roach floating around in it, it proves a delicious dinner, albeit causing tons of stomach pain. Protoss Breakfast: (Trademarked) A nice powerful ray of artificial sunlight required to start any Protoss' day and can tan the skin of Terrans pretty damn well too. Zergling Burrito: (Trademarked) Good both for breakfast, and for lunch, The Zergling burrito provides lots of protein, and a little Zergling egg! So be quick to relieve yourself afterwards, or you might just have a chest burster! The Hellracer -- suspension of sobriety is an integral part of any drinking experience, but this experience requires suspension of sobriety and inhibitions. The Maelstrom Shocker -- Only served here, a 40% bigger hit than standard Shockers, guaranteed. Psionic Cooler -- yes, I know it feels weird. Don’t worry, the energy coming out of your body should wear off in a couple days (insert generic letters to indicate gibberish) -- I don’t know what’s in it either, but that guy down there had one. He started screaming and thrashing for a while, and now he hasn’t gotten up off the floor in over an hour. The Judicator -- Perfect for influencing the minds of the intoxicated. Prismatic Void -- Gets better with every drink. Has been known to be lethal. Mind Shredder: perfect for those wishing to forget everything and start a new life. For anyone not wishing to do this, this drink isn’t advised. Scotty Bolgers old no. 8: the good stuff Andorian Ale: Can’t tell you how I got this, its a trade secret. Charge: Made using stim and several other ingredients. Side effects vary. Mjolnir (Thor’s Hammer): If you really want to feel hammered, this is for you. Served with a side of hot lead. Enlightenment: tell me when you get there. Marine: may cause you to see the counter vanish Feedback: served cold. All those annoying voices in your head start telling you what you did wrong today. M.U.L.E.: Good buzz, but may cause a break down later. Haven Splitter: you’ll either feel warm, safe, and content, or depressed, paranoid, and possibly like injecting yourself with random serums. 50/50 shot. Ace Suicide: I don’t actually know what this does. Nor do I recommend it. Alcoholic Projector: Ever wanted to know what you’re actually like when you get totally trashed? Take a few sips of this, and all the alcohol in your system will condense into a ‘party’ version of yourself, where you are completely wasted, have no inhibitions, and are just out for a ‘little’ fun. The more you’ve drunk beforehand, the better the projection. Have fun! The HBRB: however crazy you think you are, this will make you worse. Yes, that includes you, namesake. The Noodle Incident: we all know what happens when you take this. It needs no explanation. Little bit of everything: Exactly what it says. I’ve taken everything I’ve got, mixed it together, and put in the laser accelerator for a few hours. There’s no telling what will happen. Slicer: Has the unique property that it changes effect depending on the drinker's personality, amplifying any traits they have a good thousand times over. Buzzes in the back of your skull begin after three drinks, amplify slowly, and you randomly sprout wings after the 11th glass. The Scoutmaster: May result in the drinkee feeling experiencing high levels of Trustworthiness, Loyalty, Helpfulness, Friendliness, Courtesy, Kindness, Obedience, Cheerfulness, Thriftiness, Bravery, Cleanliness, and Reverence. Not Recommended for parties. Mar Sara Black: need a pick me up, or something for radiation poisoning? Or jut something to get a good buzz going that doesn’t break down? He instead posses more of his mothers abilities, namely the feared detonator egg. He does have minor psionics that allow him to cloak himself and manipulate the surrounding shadows around him. He is the only one of the three that is in the new PART division. Also unlike the other two he is the only one that has some idea of what actually happened to their father due to inheriting his father's, and his father's old friend before that, personal AI Delta. As your character fights against the shadow, you may acquire secret abilities or master advanced kata. However, you will never get more than the allotted amounts of the abilities and techniques listed below, so choose wisely. Alignments: Khala - You are connected to the Khala and wield its discipline, wisdom, and power. Customize your Templar based on the Zealot and/or High Templar units. Void - A Dark Templar are you, one who walks in the shadows and wields their strength. Customize your Templar based on the Dark Templar and/or Stalker units. Combat Styles: The Fencer: You are a master swordsman, excellent at defending yourself against the blows of enemy blades and penetrating another swordsman's defenses. This means you are particularly effective at defeating other Protoss in melee combat, but also means you are more accurate and dextrous with your strikes. Special ability: Confuse. A Fencer's quck movements practically leave enemies nauseated, so swift they attack. Using this ability will throw off all but the best trained foes for several moments, and even a trained Templar will temporarily be confused. The Slayer: You are very agile, moving quickly through the battlefield, going over enemies when around won't do. This makes you effective at dealing with larger enemies. Slayers also know how to hunt down elusive prey. Hunt: Allows the Slayer to summon a massive burst of agility. The Guardian: Your defense is as firm as any metal. You specialize in using your mind to enhance your shields, and in fighting defensively. There is nothing better to have between you and the enemy than one of these, and it only takes one Guardian to hold off massive numbers of attacking foes. Harden: The Guardian retreats deep within his mind, summoning up all his strength. Movement is slowed almost to null, but shields become almost impenetrable. When the effect wears off, the Guardian will be left weakened. The Strategist: While others fight mindlessly, ruled by fury, you analyze the enemy's movements, calculating the best means of attack. If there is a weakness, you will quickly locate it. Analyze: The Strategist spots openings and objects that others won't when he uses this. The Preserver: This class of warrior takes its name from that ancient group of Protoss who guard forbidden knowledge, for they use their great knowledge to amplify their psionic attacks. Some have been known to unleash psi-storms of incomparable magnitude after focusing for some time. Tempest: After focusing for some time, the Preserver can unleash a massive amount of psionic energy, either annihilating enemy forces or healing allies. Abilities: Psi-Storm (Khala only) - A seething field of psionic force that rips foes apart. Will leave the caster drained and weakened. Charge - A burst of speed that quickly closes the gap between the Templar and the foe. Void Prison (Void only) - An orb of dark power that immobilizes enemies and even cuts them off from the Void, Khala, or Swarm. Blink - Allows you to teleport a short distance. Khala-aligned Templar must use two ability slots to get this. Shadow Walk (Void only) - You hide yourself from sight, only to be revealed when you strike... too late for your enemy to react. Boundless Fury (Khala only) - You imbue your blades with the fury of the Khala, allowing you to sweep evil away with ease. Psi-Bolt - You strike an enemy with a burst of mental energy. Bolster (Preserver only) - You focus your mental energy, renewing an ally's shields. Dominate - You take over a weak-minded foe's mind. Archon Warp - All Templar have this ability. Two Templar can use it to fuse into an Archon, a mighty being composed of pure psionic energy. An Archon wields massive power, but be warned - the merging cannot be undone, and it may be difficult to come to terms with a multiple identity at first. Kata: Performing Kata before a mission allows you to focus on a particular way of fighting. Kibon Chodon - A simple technique that allows you to review basic offensive technique. This will focus you on melee damage, and provides a bonus to unarmed combat. Kibon Yidon - A defensive kata that will review blocking techniques, improving defense. Chong shin no-Kun - A weapon based technique that improves weapon damage and the accuracy of strikes. Kibon Samdon - A more advanced offensive kata that grants a larger boost to attack, but sacrifices defense. An excerpt My sister and I have been cowriting for years. Here's a little bit from our lastest: a fanfic off of our characters from Skyrim. Not sure if it belongs here or not. I've never used this forum. Tremere’s eyes grew hard and serious and she turned to the stairs, stepping forward firmly. “Boethiah’s day never claimed me as fallen. They shall not either.” She had no arrows. And she did not feel it in her to use the power from the man she had killed against his brothers, as twisted and blind as they were. Dressed in nothing but rags and her head held high, she moved quickly and fiercely down the stairs. An armed woman appeared and she snapped her bow around, knocking her helmet clean off and onto the ground. She stamped on her and then leapt over her to drive the hard point of the bow into another, Lord Windkin guarding her back. Some terrible light spells came at her and bolts, but Marth Windkin batted them all away, allowing her to battle freely through the fray, pushing through towards the great fort doors. Almost like magic, the doors ahead opened into the stormy world ahead. But…she heard something else than the storm suddenly. A great pounding…like dragon wings but not quite right. And something sweep downward in a flash of purple “LIZ SLEN NUS!!!” Tremere screamed as a gust came forth and suddenly Marth Windkin became coated in a blanket of ice, frozen where he stood. “Lord Windkin!” Tremere cried, pressing her hands against the ice that wrapped his body. Her head jerked around as she saw a figure leap down from the back of a dragon made of bone and wrapped in rotting flesh, the undead dragon taking off to the air again to collide with the ice drake. The figure stood, her body engulfed in fire lapping against her white armor and fur that stood on end. “Tremere, back away from him,” Krayta commanded, a wild and terrifying look in her eyes. Tremere’s jaw trembled and Krayta’s hand shot forward. Tremere yelped as an invisible force grabbed her and yanked her to the bottom of the steps. Krayta stood by her for a moment and then slowly approached Marth’s frozen form, her sword shining and burning with holy fire. She held out her blade and touched the tip to the ice, giving a little shove. Tremere yelped again as the iced man fell over, fearing he would break. But instead the ice shattered from him, leaving him in a frosty and slightly dazed heap. “Get up,” Krayta commanded. Marth started laughing like a maniac. “I said get up,” Krayta backed, seizing his shoulder and yanking him upright like a bratty child. “Oooh,” he cooed, “Have I been bad?” A thunderclap of thu’ums split the air as the living and undead dragon collided again. Krayta’s flaming arm lapped against Marth, burning but not fazing him, her yellow cat eyes blazing down at him. “As bad as I taught you to be. DarkBlade: Conquest of the Ancients *Opens with a view of a dusty plain. Pan camera to the right.* The Ancients. *Flash of a giant clawed hand knocking away human and Elven soldiers.* Powerful, horrible beasts from before the Ser arrived, who were gifted with Chaos‘s power. *A flash of a human warrior, brown hair, brilliant blue eyes and his helmet missing, ramming his spear into a beast’s chest and blasting it away with fire magic.* They came to destroy that which we held dear and leave ruin in their wake. *Villages burning, with corpses of women, children and older people everywhere, along with the soldiers who had fallen fighting the threat.* They slaughtered everything that was in their path. *Pans along the plain, then a flash to a fanged mouth tearing out the throat of a mother protecting her children.* No one could stand against them. *Soldiers dead on a field of grass, body parts and blood adding to the carnage.* So we marshaled our forces, *shows a grand army and three men at the head, facing 10 lumbering shapes coming towards them,* and we made our stand. Our women and children were safe near the Ser, and we stood to face them, *The shapes stop, one of them roaring a challenge,* and we kept our courage, charging against a foe who meant certain death. *The army of men and elves charges forward, yelling their battle cries.* We met them head on, *the figure roars again and the shapes rush forward as well, intent on crushing all resistance,* and each of us fought with the strength of a thousand men that day. We gave no ground and no quarter, even as our numbers thinned, *a giant blade, grafted to a creature’s arm, cuts several men and elves in half, but determination is on their faces,* and one by one, we brought them to their knees. *A shadowed shape goes down, a defeated roar passing its lips, then another, and another, all roaring in defeat.* Victory or death was our creed that day, and it was victory we had. *The last of the forms falls and several powerful mages come forward as another appears, this one wielding two giant blades.* We even felled their master that day, the being who made them what they were. *The mages channel their powers, and the forms all begin to vanish into a seal, though they fight it to the end, the final form yelling and swearing revenge.* We sealed them away, our greatest mages giving their lives for the safety of their families. *The seal closes and the mages fall, drained of life, but when their bodies are turned over, there are smiles of triumph on their faces.* We returned to our women and children and elderly, bearing both the jubilation of victory and the sorrow of guilt, knowing we’d all be telling women and children that their husbands and fathers and sons weren’t coming home. *Flash of the faces of women, both proud and sad, and children taking their fathers helm and solemnly wearing it in his stead.* I was one of the mages who assisted in the sealing of the Ancients and their master, the one chosen to remain after death. *Panning right and zooming out slightly as it nears the center.* I was cursed, cursed to wander Serin until the Ancients were truly defeated, slain rather than bound. *Comes to a sword resting in the center of the field, tip in the ground.* That day comes soon, when the Ancients will be set free, free to begin their rampage anew, but it is not now. Now, I begin to push the minds of those who will fight them on the day they are freed, and make sure they are ready for it, willing to sacrifice everything to protect humanity. *Zooms in on sword, a human figure now visible behind it, hands resting on the pommel, though the figure is fuzzy.* They will be strong, *Flash of a select group of humans,* swift, *elves running through the trees,* undeterred, *flash of another race,* and faithful. *A flash of the groups united.* They will lead the charge to the final battle, be the result victory or death. *The human form becomes more solid, showing a man with red hair and bright green eyes, and he draws the blade from the ground, runes igniting along its length and fire lining its edge.* We will not go into the night quietly! * He lunges forward, towards a group of ghostly shadowed forms, the same forms that were sealed in previous flashbacks.* Zarkun78

Starcraft: Ragnok Prologue: Countless Void; constant space, empty, cold...Many within the void is filled, energy flustering from places afar. Lights of the infinite, flustering from across a desert of emptiness. Distance to another, more space is there, as fillings are seen as close... yet, so far. Memory served me well. Saw the place of cold; flustered, no thought, no feel. I was void. No sense of belonging. No sense of life. No sense of light. Warmth, absent; Purpose, empty. Alone, unthought of, never to be seen by any... Memory of the dream fills me; lights beaming from corners of a sight I held in absence. Shined colour, shined shapes; charts and thoughts showed, beams streamed. Moving, changing; colour rivaled shade. Blurry, afterwards... void disappeared, the unknown showing before me. Held nothing dear to me... nor anything. All strange to sight; yet, confusion was absent. No thoughts arrived... only life. It was still blurry to sight, though. Colour disappeared... mostly. Void was all across me, with no lights to be seen. Yet... clouds and dusts surrounded me; coloured and bright, streaming across the grounds, a short fog that made the ground absent. As all across was empty darkness... the ground was filled with what hid below. Never sure as to what it was that was hidden... didn't care. No thoughts... only saw. From above, saw streams of what seemed to be... black. Yet, seemed more puffy... unsolid. Imperfect. Cracks showed foggy... yet, darker. Unclear to memory, unable to remember what it was to exact definition. Leaves still curiosity... ... Light. Distance, star showed across from me. Looked to see... difference. darkness across had one star to remain. Looked towards it... Closer. Somehow moving towards eyes, growing bigger. Getting closer lead to clearer image of light; black light. Around, black crystals seemed to wall around, dozens of crystal pillars of cut, irregular size. All aligned, glowing and shining different colours; from memory, red, yellow, orange. Fire within flowing rock... pulsing. Would say it to be fire caged, yet... crystals were beating, pulsing. Glowing brighter, growing darker. Like an organ, simulating life in itself. To see now, gives sense of beauty, inspiration; to see then, when it was the first time... purpose. Field of black crystal, stimulating life. Drawn, moved forward... by will. To move, was to see my foggy form, moving forward. Lights showed my own dark form, blended before with the void around. Now... see fire of black, or smoke... not sure. Unable to determine of form before birth. Yet... it was something. Beating, heard constant stream of sound, beating of what can be compared to as hearts... yet, some seemed loud, some quiet... different tones range for each one neared, as entered within the field. To enter the field... seemed larger than the light at distance; infinite? Unknown... yet, countless. Take too long to count them all. They all were alive, though... Wander forward, was to see them all; inside the case of black, veins... all coloured, streaming life like fire. Within, an organ that it was attached too... veins seemed to not reach a destination, except surround the insides of its shell. Every beat, led stream of light to pulse from organ to across the veins, as if electric. From within, saw life within darkness... like the lights in space before. Here, saw them all beating, all filled with life... yet, they were here, and I was beside... not from a distance, but right beside. Yet, many more need travel to reach. Despite this... I did not just see with sight; I could touch them. Feel them... hold them. They were mine to behold, mine to see from within... And from my eyes, I saw them from within. And many were soon to be mine... I felt purpose to hold much in my grasp. To glare inside, was to see what was they saw themselves; sights that I knew to be not mine. Strange sights... complex. From within saw other things of life. Moving, running, clawing, feasting, fighting... some laid dead, while others were still alive. Swarms of them, flying from a surface to a large object... larger than them: Glowing green over black, being attacked by the creatures that held similar essence that I saw within... attacking the giant object, killing them from the inside. There, I remember: battle. The creatures from what I saw, felt the will of one controlling... yet, not entirely. To see, all that was, was challenged. Ruthless, aggressive... the foreign lights were fought, reached... eradicated. Soon, there was none in the sky anymore... only the essence that I saw surround me... countless... Felt the creature bend... all of them bend... to the will of one light. Glowing brightly, yet... darkly. Essence extreme, essence strong. Made to control, made to hold. Pure, artificial, maintaining. Purpose is to grow, to strive towards growth. From within, it held purpose to grow greater and stronger, and reach towards perfection. I am Strong LIVE My life begins, I see my fellows beside me, both as motionless as I am. My body feels heavy. I feel the heat from the world beneath me, Char. Have we retaken the planet? Does my queen wish me to fight for her? The writhing creep beneath me tugs at my mandibles, I squirm away, too slow to do anything, the tendrils wrap around my head and brings me down and I am made to ingest the fleshy earthen substance. When control is granted to me I see four more of my fellows fall to me. Is my Queen near? When did she hatch these? When will I be made to morph? My queen needs me. LEARN Yes my queen, I feel the new strands being woven into my cells. The weight of it all, the immense weight of it all. I sense, blood lust and more than anything, weight. This is Ultralisk DNA I feel. Yes my queen I can serve you as an Ultralisk, please my queen I wish to help you. My thick plates of armor, my massive size, my powerful bladed limbs. I could help you my queen, please let me help you. Again four more of my fellows fall near me, eleven of us now, all squirming against one another, pushing, and made to be fed. It won’t be long now. I turn my body with great effort, crawling over my siblings, I look and see almost nothing with my eyes. I reach into the Hive Mind and see, yes, the outlying broods are now under attack. Large Protoss walkers, Colossi are killing my Brood, it makes no difference. The Swarm is numberless, we will prevail. Please my queen, let me help the Swarm. EVOLVE Yes my queen. I do as my genetic structure commands me to do. The egg I create around myself is heavy with catalysts and nourishment, I read into my queen’s orders. ULTRALISK DNA. Yes my queen! I can help you! I begin my evolution. My plated body is stripped of all hardness and is dissolved by the vespene liquid in my egg. The mineral feeds into the dissolved plates and my soft body begins to grow, larger I become, my muscles taking shape, my brain expanding. Again I sacrifice my body, my bones leave my body, ripped through my stomach. My form is still expanding. The hardening process is complete, I feel the weight of the armor getting ready to re-fuse to my body. Finally my form explodes, my legs, my teeth and claws, my new eyes, my new brain, my new organs and skeleton. Now for my carapace, my heavy armored plating. It bonds to my skin, covering me, my chest and frill all are heavy with armor. I am now evolved and must hatch. I must grow sharper claws to escape. The molecular thinness of my blades crosses itself, I know I must push harder, I must be free, I am complete I must serve my queen. In a shower of acid and proteins I break through my egg’s case. I am ready to serve my queen as an Ultralisk. I let loose a bellow that shakes the very crust of this volcanic world. I am here to serve the swarm. MOVE Already my queen tells me how to serve her, my thick legs move under me unlike the small many I had before. These four powerful limbs move me along the once hated creep, the tendrils pushing me along, My claws able to dig into the ground and push me forward. The queen wants me to guard a new colony she is forming, I must not fail her. As I leave the safe creep covered ground my feet touch the hot surface of the planet, it is painful, it sears my legs and claws, but I do not care, my queen commands me. I move further onward looking for my destination, I look into the Hive Mind and see nothing of it, only a faint memory of an Infested structure knows where I am going. I let my will be taken over as I am guided to that place. As I find myself returning to my will, I only wish I could push my new muscles further, harder. For my queen. HOLD POSITION My queen tells me not to move, the elevated ground I am standing on makes me think that I am close to my destination, why would she want me to stay here? Why my queen? No matter if it is your will then I shall do as you say. I look out into the vast volcanic landscape. Mountains rise and fall along the horizon, the cliff I am on is steep and craggy. A small creature skitters towards me, I raise my heavy leg and crush it, my queen will be proud that I killed something for her. COMMAND ALL Now is the time, I feel my queen reaching out to me directly, she is so powerful to control all of us at the same time. And yet I know there are billions more out among the stars all who obey her. My queen commands me to travel to the mountains I saw earlier with my new eyes. I see the creatures my fellows have been morphed into, all Hydralisks. Their powerful snakelike bodies, scythed arms and needle firing spines are strong indeed. From another brood I see more Hydralisks and a pair of Ultralisks, same as myself. From the brood near the cliffs I see another 3 Ultralisks and more than a dozen Hydralisks. Yes this will be a fearsome battle. As the Hydralisks slither behind me the Ultralisks that have gathered near me face the same direction I do. Our formation is ready my queen. Let us fight for you! The spark deep in my brain triggers me into motion. ATTACK My blood lust is suddenly insatiable, venom drips from my open maw, my blades ring with perfection and my powerful legs stamp against the ground charging me forwards. So long have I waited for this hour to come, my queen is using me. I see them with my new eyes, Protoss. The bright lights coming from their machines, and the electrical noise tearing through the air as their warp blades activate. My first opponent is a Zealot, a pathetic foe. My powerful claws glance against him and remove his head. I AM SO POWERFUL! Next my queen tells me to destroy the Colossi. Before I get within range a burning sensation tears across my head. The Thermal lances have burned me! Again and again they burn me. My new eyes are in pain and I can only charge further toward my goal. I reach the towering machine, larger than even me, I rise up to my hind legs and bring the full weight of my powerful body into its slender legs. They snap underneath it and I have avenged my new eyes. I let them die as I make new ones, these ones are better and cannot burn. I have evolved further. ADAPT My fellows and their new brethren continue forward while my new fellows stand beside me, there are four of us who still stand here strong. The others are weak and have died. I am still her my queen. I am still here to serve. A new genetic order rings into my brain. “Ultralisk strands good, powerful. Armor could be condensed further to make fast Ultralisk, not needed. Condensed plates that layer into same thickness, stronger armor, evolve strands.” My armor suddenly devolves upon itself and evolves harder, heavier, stronger. I am now more powerful my queen. DESTROY. The spark returns to send me to a new location, my new heavier plates are harder and stronger. I shall finish this for my Queen. I charge up the ramps, seeing my weak fellows burned and dead near the Cliffside. I destroy the large crystal structures, I destroy the weak machines. I do not get burned, I do not get cut, I am strong. The Protoss fall to me, my brethren are weak, I am strong. I am here to serve my queen. RETURN My queen recalls me to her ship. A once great and powerful vessel that the Protoss once owned. I destroyed for my queen and now she wishes to grant me healing. I know I do not need it. But it is my queen’s will. I enter her chamber and lower myself onto the ground. The cold metal and the gripping creep estrange me, but I do not care. DarkBlade PRP Redux DarkBlade: Conquest of the Ancients Story The Arrival of Ser The continent of Serin was once a barren wasteland, surrounded by oceans. Nothing could grow there and it was roamed by ferocious, man eating beasts. Then, about ten thousand years before our story takes place, a large stone of purity and health and magic power crashed into the middle of the continent and that all changed. Soon, trees and grass and plants of all kinds began to grow from where the stone had crashed, and spread across the continent. Many of the violent beasts soon calmed and became friendlier, and people and other kinds of animals began to appear, the ocean became vibrant with life, and a river of great abundance soon flowed throughout the continent. The stone gave off an aura of life, and the people of Serin called it Ser, and called the continent Serin, in honor of the crystal that had allowed them to come into existence. The rise and fall of the Ancients However, during all this, Chaos, Ser’s opposite, instilled in the most ferocious of the beasts who had existed before Ser’s arrival with power and intelligence, and they came to be known as the Ancients, beings who had existed before Ser and had resisted it’s calming influence. Using their abilities, they attacked the civilizations that the new races of humans and elves had begun to build, bringing the two races to their knees. However, before the Ancients could cause any further harm, a mighty army of the two combined races fought back. Many casualties were received from the army, but eventually the mages of the two races were able to seal them away along with their master, Cortus, who swore that they would return to this world to exact revenge and destroy the Ser. Peace once more enveloped the continent of Serin, but it wasn’t to last. The Replons and Savior of Ser Eight thousand years passed, during which the elves had begun to construct a dream world so that they had somewhere to call home, without incident and civilization spread throughout Serin. Soon humanity had built machines that ran off the power of Ser, known as Replons. The Replons served many purposes, building, healing, but, the grossest use of Ser’s power, were the militant Replons, used to begin enforcing humanity’s will on the elves. This rarely worked however, as the elves and humans were never close and the elves lived in the trees, so the most the Replons could do is keep them in their trees, which didn’t bother them any at all. However, there was a price for these machines that humans didn’t know about, and soon found out. With each new Replon Ser’s power deteriorated, and eventually Chaos took over once more, and the Replons ceased their production, and the oceans flooded the land, dividing the continent. The world was beginning to come apart when a mysterious person appeared and returned power to Ser, though not as strong as before. Now the world is once again at peace, and it is slowly returning to Ser. The Breaking of Ser With the Savior of the Ser having done his job, he took up residence inside the tower built for the Ser, watching over it and keeping it in balance. To assist with this, he assigned masters to control the water, Aquos, earth, Gaia, winds, Aero, sun, Solaris, moon, Luna, and fire, Ignus. These masters balanced out Ser’s various powers, making sure that none were more powerful then the others. Every four years, an event where the sun and the moon formed an eclipse occurs and the Ser is self balanced, allowing for the masters and peoples of the realm to take time to spend time in each others company. Everything was in perfect balance and came to be called the Balance Day. However, it is during this day that the Ser is most vulnerable. During one Balance Day, the Ser tower came under attack from Solaris, who felt sorry for the Savior’s blight, and wanted the Savior of Ser to come with her. Together they left the tower and soon the tower guards and Solaris’ followers came to a disagreement. Unable to handle this, the Ser began to overload and eventually exploded, sending it’s fragments all across the continent in many pieces of varying size. Soon the land that was unprotected by larger shards of Ser were reclaimed by Chaos. Ser’s Pieces The explosion cause the Ser to break apart into many pieces, all different sizes, and disperse among the two continents. To avoid the death that Chaos was causing, humans fled to places with larger pieces of Ser protecting them, and the elves began to return to the second place they’d created, a dreamlike world. Soon, there were few elves still on Serin. Survivors of the second great cataclysm, called the Breaking, couldn’t survive in areas without the pieces of Ser, and those who had followed the Masters had given their lives to return the continent to it’s former state. Now the world is full of those who fight to protect the pieces and those who steal them and use them for their own needs. This, is where our story begins…. Zarkun54

Starcraft Hero - An RPG Session Blog So I've been playing RPG's for a LONG time now. I've been very, very lucky to be a part of a long-running local gaming group and we've played together (with a few coming and going) for the better part of the last 9 years now. I took over as the GM of the group when our old GM moved away back in 2006. We play using the Hero system rules set (which is to Champions what the d20 system is to DnD, for point of reference. www.herogames.com for more info) and have played Champions (a comic book superhero RPG - where the MMO Champions Online grew from) for most of that time. However, I've had an idea rattling around in my head for some time now to translate the Starcraft universe into the Hero system ruleset. So last year, we put away our capes and started a Starcraft campaign. It has really been a blast and I'd like to share our adventures with all of you. I set the campaign in late 2499 AD, just before the fall of Tarsonis and the Confederacy. The campaign will progress concurrently along with the SC1 campaigns, and may overlap from time to time. The only guidelines I layed out for the players ahead of time were that they would be a unit of Marines in the Terran Confederacy. I gave them all the data on the CMC that I had and they elected to be a Nova Squadron unit. The PCs are as follows: Cpt. Tzu Bishop - Unit Leader & direct report to Col. Jackson Hauler; Combat/Skills are Leadership, Tactics & Infantry weapons Lt. Douglas Adams - Unit XO, transfer to CMC from 5th Fleet; Field Medic, Pilot & Small Arms Sgt. Natalia Rushkov - Ghost, Infiltration specialist; Stealth, Close-quarters combat (Martial Arts & Small Blades) & Psionic focus Corp. "Zero"- Ghost, Field Survival Specialist, expert marksman; Sniper - also suffers from amnesia, doesn't remember his real name or much of his past prior to being found by the squad. PFC Franko Tildon, Jr. - Firebat, Heavy Weapons Specialist; has the distinction of being the only squad member to survive a direct attack from an Ultralisk and live while we were playtesting characters! R2D This is a High Fantasy Medieval setting R2D. This means treasure seeking and monster slaying! Adventures that go far and away. Magic, swords, anything you can think of. Go on a journey together! Backstab someone when they aren't paying attention! Anything goes so long as the Die favors you! How to start: 1. You are a newbie adventurer on a [grand?] quest! BUT! you are an utter and total noob with basic equipment and magic. If you are a noble, you've lost everything and you are starting from scratch. If you are a peasant looking for adventure, you've sold most of your meager belongings for pitiful equipment. In short, you are level 1 but you aren't afraid to reach level 100! 2. Character sheets: Name: Race: Human, dwarf, Elf, [A hybrid of the two], [Insert here but highly unlikely] Gender: Age: Appearance: [optional] Deviantart or describe it I suppose. Backstory: Up to you Class: Archer, Warrior, Cleric, Thief, Mage, [insert something else] Equipment: Initial starting equipment will be simple and unnamed and provided to you by yours truly once you choose your class. Ability: [3 Abilities only, includes Magic] *Every level will grant an additional ability slot* Starting point: In the country of Valne among its many countrysides, lies the fair town of Bainwall where the sleepy inn The Iron Boar is located at. It is nighttime, and the citizens of Bainwall have begun to make their way back to their beds for tomorrow. However, inside the inn, it is loud and rowdy. Business is good as the barmaids serve the drinks and food to the patrons on the first floor where the cafe is located at. You will all make your way to the inn or you are already at the inn once your character sheets is done and okayed. Post away one you are there! ========= Notes: 1. Dialogue does not cost a roll unless you are taunting the target. 2. Walking somewhere will not cost a roll. 3. If there is no lore provided for something or you want to add onto the lore, feel free to create the lore! More often than not, I will accept it and roll with it. 4. You die, you die. Unless...? 5. The die will not be tampered with and what you roll is what you get. 6. Things won't be escalating that quickly like the original R2D. Mostly. 7. Gold can be used in place of crafting/buying equipment. Each player starts with 10 gold pieces. SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Die rolls, Monster life, Player life, etc. Providing example of a roll: We use a D20 die. Monster goes first: A thief is attempting to sneak attack Aurelia. A roll of 14 is needed to sense the thief from behind in time. Since she has the ability precognition, she adds a +1 to her roll. Aurelia rolls a 14+1=15, she senses the thief and turns her back around in time. A more cinematic version will be something like this (can be done to all rolls): Thief: 14 Aurelia:14+1=15 As the thief cautiously sneaks up on Aurelia with his dagger drawn, Aurelia's precognition couldn't help but feel something bad was coming from behind her. She turned her head around just in time to see the dagger in the air about to come down on her back and rolls quickly out of the way. With a successful roll, you may get a modifier. In the event the roll failed, Aurelia will take damage and she may be tagged negatively. Player goes first Mark attacks the wolf with his shortsword. Player rolls a 10 (skill modifiers would be applied here to increase success) Wolf rolls a 5 Mark successful hits the wolf for 3d7 damage! (more on that later) A failed arrack results in some monsters countering immediately. Others may not necessarily do so. Mark attacks the wolf with his shortsword. Player rolls a 10 Wolf rolls a 16 Player misses the wolf and the wolf bites Player's hand for 2d4 damage! Player r2d with a 4 Wolf rolls a 7 The wolf bites the player's hand for 2d4 damage! The same thing would work in the case of spells. Player vs. Player Up to the player's discretion. Damage, Stats, Afflictions and Life Points (LP) A weapon does xDy damage. X=how many times you roll a die Y=# of the sides the die has So take the earlier example, a shortsword with 3d7 would roll 3 times from 1-7, meaning a possible result would be 4+5+1=10 damage to life. The wolf has 20 life so now it would have 10. Another damage of 10 would kill it. Damage modifiers from abilities would modify the X and/or Y values. In the event a 20 is rolled during battle, the damage becomes critical hits which means it is twice as powerful. So a damage of 10 would be 20. There won't be stat allocation with strength, dexterity, etc. unless people demand it. LP will be determined with a d32 roll. You cannot have less than 20 LP. Afflictions are just modifiers that cab be inflicted by Players and monsters. They could be Fearful, Bleed, Poisoned, etc., Equipment: Weapons will follow the xDy formula. Note that some creatures may have resistants to swords, hammers, spears, etc., Armor will either add to your dodge roll or lessen the amount of damage you take. Or it might not do anything. Tag scale: Dead - out of the game unless someone specifically summons him. Cannot roll. Near Death - could be revived accidentally or on purpose. -2 to all rolls. Injured - not in the best shape. -1 to all rolls. Vulnerable - off balance. -1 to Dodges. Fine - nothing wrong here. Good - feels pretty good. +1 to all rolls. Great - things are going very well. +2 to all rolls. Giddy - sick with happiness. +3 to non-Dodge rolls. Prepared - ready for anything. +2 to Dodges. Godlike - SOMEBODY STOP HIM! +3 to all rolls. Cannot be Killed, Exiled, or Injured. All players begin Fine. If higher than Fine, will lose one rank each turn. If lower, action must be taken to raise rank. If someone or something attempts to do something nasty to you, you have to Roll 2 Dodge. The die will be rolled for you to determine how much damage you suffer, if any. In addition to being a qualified operator of the DIce of Power, I also represent the Celestial Court, to which you can appeal if you are Exiled for a couple of turns or if you feel you've been wronged. Final Stand PRP 2 It's been several hundred years since Amon's defeat, and humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction by the Zerg and Protoss. For three decades, they have been waging a merciless war against the Terrans, glassing and infesting every planet that fell, and leaving the Terrans without a way out. Slowly but surely they were forced to a single planet in the Koprulu Sector, Korhal IV and then the Xeno aggressors set out for Earth, finding more established resistance, but nothing they weren't able to whittle away at, eventually destroying all established resistance in the Sol System. Three bastions of human resistance remain, Earth, Korhal IV and Mars, which was finally made habitable three years before the Fall of Humanity began. In those three years, it was turned into a military bastion, armed with ever upgraded weaponry and defenses, and is also the place where Project Final Flash and it's off shoots were carried out. This project is the reason Humanity is still surviving. It produced the Artemis soldiers, genetically altered and modified super soldiers that could stand toe to toe with the most elite of Protoss warriors and put them to shame. You are soldier among the human ranks, Artemis or otherwise, and you are part of a force dedicated to helping humanity rise again, not just continue to exist, but to rebuild your civilization. However, things look bleak. First you must reestablish communications with the other two planets, a dangerous task with Infested and Zealots prowling the halls of the long range communications towers, and who knows what else. Then you have to rebuild your fleets, but the shipyards are overrun with Zerg and Protoss forces, including things never before seen. Both tasks are extremely dangerous, but possible if you can band together. Pick up your weapon, show your heart of courage, and lead the charge to reclaim Humanity's future, or make your final stand. The choice, is up to you. This RP is going to very story driven, but subplots are allowed. Just, try not to derail the RP. Fantasiora Part 1 It was a normal day in the Capitol of Fantasiora. People milled about doing their regular duties, adventurers flocking to the quest board, hoping to score a job and get money in reward. Than there was one man, one ominous hooded figure who waded through the crowd towards the board, taking a hammer and nails hung up a single job request on the board. before anyone could react he was gone. In his place was a job request to go to a hidden tomb and retrieve the treasure, and bring it to the local village. the reward....... 100 000 fants(fants is the currency). all characters somehow find this request board and learn of this job, hoping to score the prize. Characters: =ShadowFury= Name: Unknown. Dubbed "Wanderess" Gender: Female Age: Unknown Weapons: Horror Axe, Yumi Bow Horror Axe: A tall axe. The blade has a thick start around the shaft, with there being a horrible skeletal face carved into that, and becomes thinner quickly once it is but four inches from the edge. The edge itself is angled, instead of being a straight ninety, it is a ninety five degree angle. This axe can inspire fear among many enemies. Untrained magic: While Malek has magical capabilities, he has never had any sort of real training with them. As a result, his powers are a little unwieldy and don't always work as he intended. Hope (Open RP) 21 years after "The Event". The Event was when the prosperous plant of Terra had begun to die. The core was going cold, and slowly began to stop churning the molten rock inside. The planet's races came together to try to find a way to get the core from going cold, and get it back to moving. The warriors of Faraan Empire, and the think-tanks of The Voxan Matrix created the Faroxan Conglomerate, since they were on the landmass of Galenn. The Republic of Zeyn were on the lone, distant continent of Zeyous. They were the most advanced of the 3 societies, but also the smallest. The Faroxan Conglomerate and the Republic of Zeyn differed in ideas, and carried them out differently. The Conglomerate had wanted to dig with the science of the Voxans, and the power of the Faroxans and power the core manually by sending metals and other raw materials through heated canisters to the core. The Republic however, wanted to go to another planet, and had been using all funding possible to make a new space program. The 2 factions worked hard, the Faroxan Conglomerate finished their armada of drills and gathered the materials and started drilling. About a week later, they hit something. A ruins. The ruins was inside a large cavern and it had a very dense gas inside. The gas was black with hues of green and purple. They later found that the gas carried a virus that possible caused the wipe out of the civilization that once lived in these ruins. The infection spread quickly, and soon the epidemic filled the landmass in a matter of weeks. There were few survivors and the Republic offered a haven to any of the survivors that were not infected. Most who took ships or aircraft were, and were executed and disposed of upon landing... Some few have made it, but a very, very slim few. The infected aren't all mutated mentally, but their physical mutations classify them as "inhumane" and unfit for society, and are banished from any survivor settlements. So was born the Exiled Cult. They attack as if they are infected, and despise anything that resembles "Order". They feral infected can look normal, but will rip you to pieces if you let them. Indigenous life has been affected as well, animals becoming more aggressive and adapting new weapons and abilities. The world outside of some form of settlement is a new kind of dangerous. Everything you know is now gone. All that remains is your wits, your abilities, and survival. By any means necessary. Many things have been lost, many things are gone.
