Razer Mouse Crashing Issue

Mac Technical Support
Hello everyone!

While using the Razer SC2 mouse (the cool glowing one) on a macbook pro, I was playing a game, and the mouse suddenly stopped working. Figuring no big deal, I unplugged the mouse and plugged it back in, and the game crashed.

I figured it coincidence until it happened again just now. Is this a known issue, and is it solvable? I would really like to not crash.

I just bought the razer imperator last week and it was randomly shutting off every 24hours or so. Happened while I was playing starcraft once and I simply plugged it back into another port and it was started up. I went to the razer site and did some digging and found for PC there is a section in my device manager for the usb ports that has power management options. In the USB Root Hub section I was able to find a setting that was by default checked labeled ( Allows the computer to turn off this device to save power). I unchecked this and haven't had the random shut off in the last 4 days. So I think this solved my problem. I think,( guessing) that the razer uses a lot more power due to the lights. And this was causing my PC to shut it down. It honestly shouldn't ever do that while the device is using it. I realize that you are on mac and this info might not help at all. I hope it does.
Haven't heard about this before. Did you make sure to install the SC2 drivers for the mouse from the Razr website?

Not that this is related to your issue but I bought a USB power surge protector and power booster (plugs into wall) because my MacBookPro killed my first Razor SC2 mouse do to overpower. They sent me a new one for free and I have had no issues since I have been using it with a power regulator.
similar trouble, but I got the razer sc2 keyboard, the marauder. at first, it worked great. then once, my computer randomly started crashing and since then, no matter what i do, it wont stop. i think its the razer drivers, but ive checked the registry countless amounts of time, uninstalled the software, updated it, and even done a system restore. the worst part is that I'm not even using the keyboard anymore and it still crashes. Any ideas, internet?
Eyams, are you on a PC or Mac? This issue might be different cause if on a PC.

My girlfriend just bought me a Razer Spectre, worked absolutely amazingly last night and most of today. I unplugged it to move the laptop around, and when I plugged it in again... nothing. Not one thing. All drivers installed, i had it tweaked and running perfectly.

I'm running an aluminum bodied macbook pro from 2010, dual boot with windows (since I absolutely cannot run SCII on my OSX, I have no idea why, it just lags so bad it can't even load, and my computer is clean, up to date, and well maintained... just stopped working one day.).
