patch 1.5

Technical Support
When I try to install the client I still get error code. BLZAPPBTS00002

I can't find any How-To guides for port forwarding on this model of router.
I'm sure you guys are researching the server IP address now, but I'd love a ping to know you're still listening.
What do I put for Server IP address? It wants four 4-digit numbers

Thanks

Also, are 3724 and 1119 what I put for Start Port and End Port?

For the Start Port and End Port you can put in 3724.

Then on a separate line, or entry, put in 1119 for the Start Port and the End Port.

And the Server IP address?
The Server IP address will be your computer's current IP address:

  • Type in View network connections in the Start Menu Search.
  • Right-click on Local Area Connection, and choose Status.
  • Then click on Details...
  • Look for the IPv4 Address

The search shows no results. But I found my IPv4 address with some google help. I've got 3724 and 1119 forwarded. But the client installation gives the same error. It says checking for updates briefly and then ''We could not connect to Battle.net patch service. Please check your internet connection and try again.''
But here I am talking to you.

    What's next on the list? : /
Do you have any other computers on your network, or in your household, for comparison?

Would it be possible to connect your computer to an alternate Internet connection, like at a friends house? That comparison will help too.

Yes I have another computer here. Should I try the client on it?
Yes, try StarCraft II on the other computer. If you're not able to install and patch on the other computer, we'll know that the router/modem is the common factor. But if you can install on the other computer, the issue is isolated to your main computer.

I'm able to play on the other computer. But it's laggy even on lowest graphic settings, so I'd really like to get this one working. What's the next step? : )
Ok, so you were able to install and play on the other computer, so this issue is almost exclusively limited to your original computer. Have you had your first computer for a long time? How old is the Windows installation?

I've had it about 4 years. It's Windows Vista. How can I see how old the installation is?
Here's how to get the installation date for your Windows:
