Video freezes but audio/game is fine.

Bug Report

Getting a weird bug. Occasionally in a game, the video will freeze yet I can still select my units by hotkeys and hear them performing the commands I give but I cannot see them doing so. It seems the game is still playable in every way, I can go to menu, f10 out and all audio plays correctly, even quitting the game to the main login menu will change to the correct audio but video stays stuck where it froze.

I'm having this problem as well, running Windows 7. Will continue even if I use hotkeys to quit out of the game it occurs in.

The Logitech G930 is using the default USB Audio driver. The problem occurs while in a game. I am able to type, hear game sounds, use hotkeys, etc. But my video will completely freeze. I am able to use hotkeys to quit out of the game, but video will still be frozen. I'm playing the game in borderless windowed mode with my graphics settings set at medium.
I got the same error

Edit : Note that I am playing on Low graphic settings.
I was having a similar issue. I haven't really laddered very much. I ran into the issue replaying through the campaign to prep for HoTS. I would get this issue within a minute of loading into any mission. I played a 4v4 that lasted 20min~ and no issue.

I unistalled / reinstalled sc2 and rebooted my pc and it seems to be working fine for me now. I played about 3-4 hours with no error.

Here is my info anyway, in case its helpful.

Sorry for the bad paste tired and lazy x.x
Also I was on lowest graphics settings / windowed FS
I had the same issue. Dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/6Dn0n3j9

I switched to Fullscreen, instead of Windowed Fullscreen, and that seems to have fixed it for me.

I have had this issue as well in a couple places while using windowed (fullscreen). I can also add that I've had it resolve itself by alt-tabbing out to the task manager a couple times. Though that solution is not consistent so I'm not sure what's causing it.

Will use normal fullscreen since that has worked for others.

I can't seem to find the sound card stuff. I'm not using a separate card from what's on the motherboard so that might be why.

Same Issue here while playing the campaign. Each happening on a different mission. Game continued to "play" in the background. First lockup was in mid fight, so my units could be heard killing units and moving. 2nd Happening happened right at mission load and i could control units.

I also upgraded my Graphics drivers after 1st instance of issue to newest release, listed below. Still didn't help, same thing happened 45 minutes later.

I have the same issue here. I can get it fixed by alt tabbing and then alt tab back. But this isn't a permanent fix...
+1 to this issue. It seems we all have NVIDIA graphics cards...
