Mar 12, 2013 SimCity is freaking addicting. Yea....servers a bit unstable atm. But, I, Can't, Stop, Playing. This is the worst game I could choose for the last part of the school year. Anyone else like this?Iaylienne35 Mar 12, 2013
Mar 12, 2013 do you like this franchise, movie and concept? hi, how are you, first of all, this is not a comparative post of games or anything like that, i wanna know if you like the movies, games and overall art and style of final fantasy franchise, because you are the same target market, is for an school project. im talking about this movie, is square-enix's Final Fantasy 7 advent children i know that their morpg is very very bad, and wow is by far the king of morpg's, but im talking about the overall style, design, and art of final fantasy. so... thats the question, do you like the overall style, design, and art of final fantasy.Arturovaalle1 Mar 12, 2013
Mar 12, 2013 Oldschool RPG's I have always been in love with games like: Final Fantasy 4&6 Breath of Fire 1-4 Super Mario RPG Chrono Trigger I have not been able to ever find another RPG game that was quite as magical as these games. Does anyone have any suggestions for awesome games like these that I might be able to play on my laptop? (Other than Final Fantasies, I've played most of them and do not like the new ones) Thanks!Teepeez18 Mar 12, 2013
Mar 12, 2013 SimCity or Tomb Raider? Just going to take responses and see which one people favor more. Eventually going to get both, but trying to decide which one to get first. Edit: If the answer is "neither" then get out of my thread.Imhereurnot14 Mar 12, 2013

Mar 12, 2013 New computer for 1000 I want to get a new computer and I was thinking of this one I can configure it how ever I like but I am so out of date on computers. I would love it if people who are, upto date on computers would go to the site above and configure the computer above so it would play Wow on ultra and also play Planetside 2. If you would please post the list of the parts you choose in here. (there is a save function on the left side of the screen) This is what I was thinking with the price being the deciding factor, I would like to keep it under 1000 If you could look at what I picked and help me get the price down and still play wow ultra and maybe Planetside 2 not a must but would like too. I don't want to build it I don't want to learn everything I forgot driving OTR for the last 10 years. Mar 12, 2013 I want a laptop that wont get hot . My adapter for my laptop gets so hot that i can barely touch it long enough to unlpug it. it gets hot when i play wow with the settings on the lowest values. as soon as i start playing fallout new vegas it starts to get hot immediately even with the graphic settings on their lowest settings. at least when i play wow it would take 30mins to an hour or so to get hot. What i need or rather what i would like is a laptop that doesn't get hot when i play wow or fallout or skyrim, but also has a very fast processing speed. i really cant stand slow computers -_-!. The laptop that i currently have stopped working [(or rather the battery did)it no longer carries a charge] and i don't think spending money to fix it would be a good investment. reasons why: 1.) Its 3-5 years old i don't know how long a laptop cant last and be in good condition but it think its past its prime. 2.) I can only see 1/4 of my screen because of cracks that are blurred with ink. 3.) I don't really like its model its way too flimsy i hope i can get a sturdier model. I will probably get a new laptop in a few months. Any suggestions? Edit Cost is also a non factor.Soulshots10 Mar 12, 2013
Mar 12, 2013 Advice on upgrades in order to record/stream Since 5.2 launched this week and new raid content is out, I am looking to start upload kill videos on youtube and possibly stream progression. I know my desktop isn't the best in the world as it was bought premade. I have a CyberpowerPC Black Gamer Ultra GUA160 Here are some of the specs: AMD Athlon II X2-270 processor - 3.40GHz, 2MB Cache 8GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory ATI Radeon HD 6450 Graphics Is there anything I can upgrade for a reasonable ($100-$200) so its capable of recording without me going down to >10 fps. Also are there any free or cheap recording software that doesn't stop after 10 seconds?Obito21 Mar 12, 2013
Mar 12, 2013 WoWcation I still like Rift when I'm not playing WoW. It's a good game and the expansion is solid. I'm not trying to talk anyone out of WoW, but if you're looking for something fun to play I suggest Rift. See yaJawl2 Mar 12, 2013

Mar 11, 2013 Interesting benchmark - IB G2020 vs. Core2 Impressive that if you have an old E8400/8500, it still doesn't look terrible vs. a new Pentium. It's also interesting that some of the newer games are beginning to really use four threads, and if they do, even an older quad core will stomp a new Pentium, even with the Ivy Bridge IPC as strong as it is. The video card used in the game benchmarks is a Geforce 570, which edges out a Radeon 7850.Selvaganesh0 Mar 11, 2013
Mar 11, 2013 New computer HELP! Hello, I am looking to build a low budget $600 maximum PC for WoW only I don't really have any interest in other games, but I digress. I have been looking at this computer here: But from what I have read the graphics card( Nvidia Geforce GT 610 1GB )will not allow me to run WoW on Ultra. What I am really after is being able to run smoothly around 45 fps on Ultra settings in a 10m raiding environment as well as being able to runs Fraps when I want. If someone could please post and give some advice as to whether I should just upgrade the VC or go with a different build all together. (If so help with what builds would be greatly appreciated.) I have everything I need but a decent tower. (monitor, naga mouse, anasi keyboard)Dèägon16 Mar 11, 2013

Mar 11, 2013 WoW MMO Legendary gaming mouse-key bindings Okay, I just bought this new mouse and I have set up my keybindings and everything. but when I'm hovering over any slot on the actionbars and try to use one of my buttons for one of my keybindings, it uses the spell my mouse is over instead of the binding I have on it. but when I'm not over any spell and just have my mouse away from the action bars and use a keybinding, then it works. Let's say you have frost nova set as a key binding, and your clicking or hovering your mouse over ice lance, but then you want to use your frost nova binding, so you click that key binding, but it's going to use ice lance instead cause your hovering over top of it. anyone have any ideas why it's doing that?Urekö1 Mar 11, 2013
Mar 11, 2013 Gaming Laptop? I'm looking for a good laptop for gaming, nothing like a razer or Alienworkshop and i know laptops arent ideal for gaming and a desktop would be a better investment but i just moved and no place for a Desktop. I have a old laptop that runs WoW fine, but its just not cutting it anymore. I'm looking to spend around $600 bucks give or take a little wiggle room. Im not looking for bashing i know thats low balling for a laptop but what is the best bang for my buck for the price i have set.Pcjc6 Mar 11, 2013
Mar 11, 2013 HD 7870 XT 2 GB Hi! Can this video card do this: I have two 22" Acer LCD monitors that are set to 1440x900 resolution. I want to be able to play wow on one, and use the other for browsing the internet, but I need to be able to clone monitor 2 with my bedroom 32" LG TV via an HDMI cable. The Acer monitors have VGA and DVI inputs. Will this card be able to work with what I want to do or if not, what option do I have? Thx.Phux1 Mar 11, 2013
Mar 11, 2013 WoW and hot video cards. You wouldnt think WoW would be so demanding on a video card compared to other games. But in my case, with my ATI 5870 it gives my card a good work out. I know these cards can reach up to the mid 90's before being concerned, but with me im at a steady 85-87. And that is even with me replacing everything the other day in my computer. Case and all. While other games, like Crysis 3 or other mmos dont make my card to run that high. (WoW being on high settings) I was curious if anyone else has this issue, with this card, or even with other video cards.Bowjobbers13 Mar 11, 2013
Mar 11, 2013 Switching from Mac to PC ... software? Correct me if I'm wrong but since I'm going from an iMac back to a PC I need to buy all new copies of WoW again? I know Mists and Cata were both bought as digital downloads. I *might* still have my original copies of Vanilla, BC, and Wraith? If I don't still have them that means I need to buy new copies right?Obmi6 Mar 11, 2013
Mar 11, 2013 Are "Grinds" in a game a necessary evil? I've been giving this a lot of thought, and it has made me curious. What keeps players playing a game? I would guess the most basic answer to be new content. But obviously a company can not keep pumping at content as fast as gamers can play through it, thus the reason for the "grind", to slow those players down. But is there another method, or is grinding the only way?Vaelrîc6 Mar 11, 2013

Mar 10, 2013 Tomb Raider. So for anyone who played the classic tomb raiders(not next gen remakes) tr1-3, LR and Chronicles is this new Tomb Raider fitting the original style. I mean that in a sense of do you still have that puzzling challenging theme? Nervous to put the key in the door cause not sure what will pop out? From what I seen from trailers and game play it looks like a brand new game with discards to the original franchise which is fine as long as they kept key elements along the way and not try to make it something it isn't. So for those who played the original tomb raiders how does the new ones compare?Karthíus10 Mar 10, 2013

Mar 9, 2013 Alternatives to SimCity Until EA finally pulls its head out of its rear, relents, and disables the game's "Always-Online DRM" (Doubtful), here's a list of games that you can play to get your city-building fix. SimCity 4 -- Get the previous game. (We won't even talk about Societies) It's not overloaded with a bunch of junk features, it's easily moddable, and it does the Region system a lot better than the 2013 edition to the game. Cities can be massive depending on how you want to play the game. My vote to play this game? Definitely. You can probably still buy the Deluxe Edition, which includes SimCity 4 and Rush Hour for $19.99. Anno 2070 -- A more futuristic city-builder and island settlement game, most recent in its series. It does have Online DRM, but I think Ubisoft actually patched it out recently. (I think, therefore I have no idea). Anyways, it's a bit more involved than SimCity ever was - you have to focus more on maintaining your settlement's resource and population infrastructure. For sale on Steam for $49.99. Worth the money. Tropico 4 -- Ever wanted to rule your own dictatorship? With the Tropico series, you can fulfil your dreams! Basically, this is almost the same as the Anno series in that instead of focusing more on building your cities, your focus is shifted towards ensuring your workers have the resources they need to build your city. The entire game, including all of its DLC, is currently on sale for $9.99. Zeus + Poseidon: Acropolis Edition -- All right, it's almost not fair because this is a very classic game, but it's still one of the best city-building games I've played in recent years. Basically, you build a Greek city following some major catastrophe and you can choose to either build it into a military state like Sparta or focus more on economy and trade. Zeus + Poseidon is for sale on for $9.99. Feel free to add your own recommendations to the list.Huatar7 Mar 9, 2013

Mar 9, 2013 Phenom II X4 965 BE - Worth It? AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX I keep seeing Newegg trying to push this whenever I browse around the processors.. Is it any good for current gaming? I was considering on buying the 6300 since I'm on a tight budget but trying to compare the two to see if I could save a few more dollars and still run current to newer games on ultra if I paired it with a 7850? I'm not computer smarts so I won't be overclocking either chip. So just looking to see if I should look into purchasing one or sticking with the 6300? Thanks!Lupen56 Mar 9, 2013
Mar 9, 2013 Gaming Mouse Suggestion. Alright I'm trying to find a good gaming mouse with at least 4-6 Extra Buttons outside of LB,RB and Scroll Button. Few things to to take into mind. When I use my mouse, I slouch my wrist back so my fingers normally are around the middle of the RB and LB for my fingers. I don't know about others but because its hot where am at, my hands tend to get sweaty as well. Namely around the upper palm. So when I've tired using a mouse like the Razer Naga Molten when I tried to press the side buttons my mouse would slide around cause of the sweat and how I hold it. Also I have no intention of changing how I hold it and I want a mouse, Not a Nostromo or something like it.Stormpanda5 Mar 9, 2013
Mar 9, 2013 AFFORDABLE upgrade suggestions for my PC? I currently have a HP Pavillion p6218f desktop PC with: AMD Athlon II X3 425 Processor 2.70 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 1 TB HDD Upgraded 700 W PSU and I just upgraded to 16gb 1600 MHz DDR3 240-Pin RAM I run Windows 7 x64 and pretty much just play WoW. I like to dualbox WoW, watch videos, have many open internet pages up at once... and its kinda struggling now that I've added the second application of WoW to the mix. My RAM upgrade I'm still waiting to be shipped to me so now I'm using 4 x 2gb DDR3 sticks. Since my computer isn't too old I'm not ready to spend $600+ on a new tower, can anyone suggest an easy upgrade that I can do for under $100? Thanks.Eric10 Mar 9, 2013
Mar 9, 2013 new computer Hey people, I know very little about computers, my current one is an all-in-one that I can't open to switch parts. I am currently on minimal setting and often see black below me instead of floors. The background in WOW has alot of fog as well. I'm looking to upgrade with a budget around $1200. I don't like FPS games at all, I'm currently only playing WOW. I could increase my budget, but would have to wait longer (months) to do so. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a brand to use, or is there a "safe" way to build my own?Halzert12 Mar 9, 2013

Mar 9, 2013 Getting into D&D I never really got into D&D when I was younger. So I don't know much about it. I want to start playing it, I bought the 3.5 players handbook. I'm reading it now, but are there any tips for a D&D noob? I really would want to play a monk but I don't think I could stand to be lawful. any suggestions?Irönfist9 Mar 9, 2013
Mar 8, 2013 questions I just got a new computer and re-installed wow and d3. While playing d3, I noticed that the game was skipping past the movies and they weren't in the list of cinematics anymore. It's been a while since I played it and didn't know if there were some changes I missed, or what the problem might be. I originally installed the game with the disks, but used the game client this time. My second question is if anyone knows why my use of the d3 forums is locked. I've been playing for a few days and just defeated a difficulty (so the game and chat runs fine) and I haven't recieved an email from blizzard, so I have no clue what is wrong. Thanks for your time and any given help.Shankn0 Mar 8, 2013
Mar 8, 2013 Gaming Desktop Ok, I have been having my eye on this particular desktop for some time now and I have been looking in on it to buy it. I am confident that this desktop can play WoW on Ultra setting. What I need YOU to do is help me out and tell me if I should or not, and if there is a better Desktop, please give a link to it. (To all computer techies out there. Please spare me the computer mumbojumbo crap, I don't understand any of it half the time, what I would like is some short and simple answers, thank you.) Mar 8, 2013 How good would a new processor be? Hello there! Around Christmas time I picked up a pretty decent graphics card (Radeon 6670 HD) and in all of my games it has increased my framerate exceptionally! (Getting 60 minimum with max graphics for most games I play.) However, WoW just can't seem to work as well. I get an average of 50, and not even on ultra! Namely, lighting and water kills my fps, so I keep those on the lowest setting while everything else is on good-high. My question is, would a new processor (or anything else) would help improve WoW (and even other games) preformances? Computer Specs: ...Manaclaw6 Mar 8, 2013
Mar 8, 2013 layperson seeking computer advice I used to play WotLK and I had a computer built back in 2009 from a local store. I quit playing for a couple years, but I just started playing MoP recently. I don't know hardly anything about computers, but I do know that lately my frame rate has been below 20 sometimes and I have a lot of latency issues. I'm not sure if its my computer or not...anyway, this is what I have from the invoice: -Intel 945 motherboard -Core 2 Duo 2.8 Intel processor -(2) 1 Gig chips -500 GB western digital HD Sata II -(2) Nvidia 8400GS Video Cards with 256 (one for each monitor) Can someone that knows about computers please tell me if this completely sucks, or if its ok, or if I need to start from scratch(and what with) or if I can possibly upgrade certain things and be ok. I'm having problems with just doing dailies and 5 man's, this is not even talking about any raiding or PVP. Thanks in advance!Phux4 Mar 8, 2013
Mar 8, 2013 Not entirely sure what my problem is. Hi everyone, I've been just curious as to what my problem is during Raids and PVP and stuff, but when ever there's like a bunch of people casting and what not, I think its lots of particles, my computer starts getting pretty laggy, and I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. Im running generally everything at high except for the ground clutter which is at the lowest. I'm assuming its my CPU, but I also read that my crappy 1280x1024 plug and play monitor kind of bottleknecks my GPU since the card can't run at like, maximum power or something, I don't particularly remember what it said. But anywho here's what I have I guess Processor: AMD A4-3400 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Monitor: 1280x1024 32 bit 75HzDroôdlol8 Mar 8, 2013
