BUG: Cannot Compress video recorded in game.

Mac Technical Support
Post Limit:
Unless you compress your video during the SAME login session the game will NOT compress any video. This is a know problem for close to a full month as reported by players, but there has been NO Blizzard acknowledgement of this issue!

It does not matter if you crash or manually get to the login screen but in any case it prevents you from compressing ANY video.

There is a work around until Blizz fixes this in a patch:
Login to ANY of your toons and record a few seconds. Then prompt the game to compress and you should be able to compress all of the awaiting recordings.

I can duplicate this easily. I had close to 6BG of footage to compress until another player came up with this solution.
Hi Baddreams,

Thank you for addressing this. I will submit the information to the appropriate parties, however, it is best to post this as well in our bug forum.

If you wish to report a bug, please post on our Bug Report Forum at - (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=10023). Be sure to read the header information and include the appropriate keyword(s) in your subject line so that it is formatted correctly.

Example Subject Line: Mac-Quest-VanCleef Quest Starter Bug

This will make it a lot easier for us to review the bug reports posted. Thank you in advance for your help.

I would still use the current bug forum on forums.worldofwarcraft.com , as these forums are still on Live Preview and not official as of yet.

i just mirror the report on both, i have seen blues answering the new bug report forums, in fact, more so than the old last couple days.

If memory serves me correctly, last time I submitted a Mac Bug in the Bug forums I was told it was supposed to go in the Mac Tech Support. But whatever. Since the Mac OS client is a different animal why does it not have a separate Bug forum?

Many suspected Bugs are often conflicts with addons or settings (technical issues) and I personally think the two should be in the same forum. At least it is finally getting some attention.
i too have seen them disreward mac bugs and say to post them here for mac devs to see and track or mac CMs to pass to mac devs to add to tracker. if it is a mac specific issue. if it's NOT mac specific then for sure it belongs in bug report forums, like the bug idiscovered this week that can cause substancial stutter/fps loss in combat caused by blizzards own achievement frame. of course despite posting it, no one has acknowldged it yet :\
