Prot pally gearing=dps plate?

Paladin
I see the importance of haste and hit/exp. Should I forego plate pieces that have dodge/parry in favor of dps plate with hit/exp/haste?
Yes.
Also, try to avoid getting dodge/parry gear in the first place. Mostly set your loot specialization to ret unless the boss drops a weapon/shield you want.
If it's on the ret list and it doesn't have Crit on it, you probably want it.
I should only get "tank" oriented gear that has dodge/parry if it is a tier piece, right?

1 Trinket really. Rooks is nice and all, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Belt and Shoulders off protectors are definately nicer.

Oh healer talking of prot, Whats wrong with crit ?

Nothings wrong with crit, but its suboptimal compared to Haste or mastery.

Goal being Haste > Mastery with Hit & Expertise capped. Dodge, Parry & crit being after thoughts. They won't hurt you, but they don't really help either.
