Edit: Added Tracert at the bottom for comparison between yahoo.com and battle.net

As of about a week ago i noticed that going to the wow forums and playing wow is really slow.
I run speed tests and i'm getting about 7mbs DL and1.5mb upload and all other pages seem to run and work fine?

The only thing that changed is I dowloaded Microsoft Security Essentials to monitor my computer for viruses and that's it.

You think it's a firewall issue or what?

I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if this helps but this is a tracert of battle.net:

Looks like something wonky is going on at the beginning with charter.

Still, just for curiosity, have you also disabled MSSE to see if it makes any changes?

I'd be erring on the side of poking Charter because of those hopes, though.
WOW is supposed to time out, that's blizzards firewall and is normal.

BTW typing hidden doesn't hide the fact that hop 1 is 192.168.1.1
hehe not that a private ip address is a big deal. Just didn't know what was acceptable on these forums.
