Mage Stat Priority?

I'm having trouble finding anything recent (as in if anything has changed) with regard to mage stat priority? I am coming back off a long break to begin playing my mage... what is the order of stats I should be interested in for PVE?

As arcane get lots of haste and int, probably avoid mastery.
So spell crit and spirit really come secondary to INT and Haste?
Actually, I assume getting enough +hit is the most important stat correct?
Arcane: Mastery > INT > Haste. Reforge everything into Mastery.

Fire: More complicated and undefined, you want enough haste to get extra tics off your LB (there are some charts on EJ but it's still being figured out) but at the same time your Crit is at an all time low and HS is harder to proc so you also need to worry about that. Mastery is generally not worth it as Fire, and INT is still your #1 stat like spell power always was. I'd go for 29% haste then all crit for reforges.

And yes hit cap > everything, and it's easier now our purple gem of choice is HIT/INT.

Spi is now after Agi and just barely before Str for stat priority. It does nothing for dmg casters at all anymore (except I think Shaman & Druid have some Talents that use it, not 100% on that). Int is generally your best bet after Hit cap (which you shouldn't worry about anymore untill lvl 85). Crit beats Haste for Fire always and for Frost until 33.34% Crit (Shatter triples).
I'm guessing haste got less valuable for arcane after the arcane blast change then?

I also don't see why mastery is good. It's awful for arcane PvP I know that much.

Mastery is amazing for arcane PvE, in my gear I do 30% more damage with a full mana bar, you can't beat that.

Also the reason haste is valued less is because the more haste you have the quicker you go oom and have to resort to regen cycles.

Crit is actually favored over haste for arcane now.

Spirit is good for spriests. It gives them +hit.
Lots of bad info in here.

Such as Mastery > Int for arcane....lol

Intellect is FAR BETTER than mastery for any spec.

Here are some preliminary numbers for level 85 scale factors taken from Lhivera's simulationcraft. All of the following are in 359 raid gear (Normalized values stay roughly the same as gear level increases)

EDIT: Wouldn't allow me to properly format these for spacing. The values listed are in order of the stats from left to right (Int, SP, Hit, Crit, Haste, Mastery)

DPS gain per unit stat increase except for Hit/Expertise which represent DPS loss per unit stat decrease

Arcane:

Int SP Hit. Crit. Haste. Mastery.
Scale Factors 3.2901 1.8994 2.0973 0.8707 0.8717 0.9424
Normalized 1.0000 0.5773 0.6375 0.2646 0.2650 0.2864

Fire:

Int. SP. Hit. Crit. Haste. Mastery.

Normalized 1.0000 0.6923 0.7019 0.5978 0.3698 0.3663

Correct.

On a side note, blizzard has really made it hard to stack INT on your gear so most choices will still boil down to combat rating choices.
