Avoidance macro

Death Knight
Title says it all, anyone got a recent, up to date avoidance macro to show it? I know it isn't as simple as adding dodge to parry, or it least it didn't used to be. I haven't been a main tank in years, but I have been asked to tank more often for my guild, so I am trying to get my stats down pat.

Thanks much.
http://www.askmrrobot.com is doing fine at optimizing Dodge/Parry ratings raid buffed.
Doesn't really answer my question. Unless that can take my current gear set and tell me what my total avoidance is as a percentage. I don't want to just add parry and dodge, because that's not quite accurate. I suppose I could dive into it deeper to figure it out on my own, but I am lazy and don't feel like it :P

Before, you used to be able to use a macro like:

/run local d,p=GetDodgeChance(),GetParryChance() print(format("Avoidance breakdown: %.2f%% Dodge + %.2f%% Parry + 5%% Base miss = %.2f%% Total Avoidance.",d,p,d+p+5))

This would give you a total percentage of avoidance. This is something that worked before, but I am not sure if it still works or not (it apparently works in game but it's old so it might not be accurate).

Yes it can. Log out in tank gear and just try it.

It will tell you the buffed and unbuffed rating OR % values (just click the radial button under the "Optimized" button to pick what you want to see).

I'm not sure why you even need to see anything besides your total (or net gain/loss) anyways. The calculations look at everything and minimize the affect of DR.
%parry + %dodge + 5% miss = DK avoidance.

So add 5 to your dodge+parry and you magically get your total avoidance.

%parry + %dodge + 5% miss = DK avoidance.
OK, so the macro I found still works anyway. Thanks for the snide remarks.

I'm just curious, that's all. My rating unbuffed (except HoW) is 2052 parry and 1949 dodge. Basically as close as I could get to the same in my current gear set.
Assuming you're talking about fighting Boss level mobs (Effectively 88 when you're 85) you need to subtract 1.8 from that.

Block, Parry, Miss and Dodge chance all get suppressed by 0.6% due to the level difference. This is where the 102.4% number comes from on Warriors and Pallys. But we obviously don't have a chance to block so it's a 1.8% difference.

how do you combine your mastery rating into that? or does it just not count as avoidance?

1: don't necro.
2: mastery is not a form of avoidance, so you don't factor it into your total avoidance.
