it will be nice to see the old armor sets again, and glaives and so on.

everyone has some item they like a lot for aesthetic reasons but have had to put it in their bags as it is no longer "viable".

it's good we have this option to make use of that gear once again without it being a dps/hps loss. just think, thunderfury with the stats of the tank sword off beth'tilac! :p

You will not be able to transmogrify using a legendary item as either the source or the recipient of a change.

WHY?!?!? i have wanted thunderfury since mid-BC when i started playing this game. on 8/29/2011 the left binding dropped for the first time. 14 hours later, the right binding dropped. wednesday afternoon(8/31/2011), i had my thunderfury. now, i did not think to consider wether or not ledendaries would be included in the transmogrification feature, but quickly found out. how can this be? there is a pic of a pally holding sulfuras on the transmogrification preview page (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/3309048#blog)!!! since we will have to possess the item we want to copy, AND we will have to copy it to something of identical weapon/armor type, AND our class/spec combo will need to be compatible with the weapon type as well(human prot warr would want to use a 1h sword to tank), it seems like with all these requirements& restrictions, not that many people would be raiding & doing randoms with old legendaries. So i ask you blizzard, why not allow legendaries to be the base of a transmog? where is the harm in that??
My new raiding gear! http://www.wowhead.com/profile=31851695

Curse you Blizzard for making most of the stuff have a very low drop rate /angryfists.
Is it just me, or are the people whining/asking for this not to be available for PvP simply showing off their own weaksauce?

Are they so bad at PvP they need that visual crutch to decide who to target or not?

Do people that are really awesome at PvP rely on this crutch in the same manner? Or are they awesome at PvP regardless?

Just asking...

When I PVP, to determine how good the gear my character is wearing I just look at their health pool. Fancy old armor won't negate the fact that you have 100k hp
You know the only think I hate about this, is that i won't be able to use my Darkspear Shroud.

And you Allies can't use your Gnomeregan Shroud.
i think its about time, i called for this so much for so long. cant get here soon enough
Took me nearly forever to find this thread on MMO-Champion, because I wanted to follow the forum code of conduct and post in the correct thread... I was interested in hearing if I could Transmog my plate into level 40 and lower Mail gear? I feel a certain level of unfairness towards plate wearing classes since we end up with virtually half the selection from lower level quests and such on.

While I would understand if you declined doing this, I am hopeful that you allow Plate users, and Mail users to Use 40 and lower Mail/Leather items.

Other then this small gripe I have looked forward to this entirely.

My Death Knight has an entire bank full of Mail gear from his quests he is looking forward to sporting.
I'd like to see the option of being able to transmogrify your tabard as well. Nothing worse than finally getting a great set of aesthetic equipment together, then realizing the tabard that you have to wear to grind rep with completely ruins the new look.

Being able to hide it completely would be nice as well, especially for casters.

Since no tabard gives a permanent advantage, this is just a minor irritation more than an actual problem. You would only be wearing the tabards as long as you need rep, and even then only in 5-man dungeons.

While questing, while raiding, while PvPing, while running around in cities, or after you've gotten all the rep that you want/need, you can wear whatever tabard you want, or just not wear any.
I'm excited, I didn't think I'd ever get to see my paladin's season 5 armor set again!
classes are completely broken in PvP but the other 95% of carefree nubs can look like idiots and be happy.
Dear Blizzard,

I think Transmogrification is an awesome idea!

If possible can you please reintroduce these blacksmithing weapon patterns that were removed after BS got revamped and weapons specialisation got merged with main stream BSing:

Lionheart Executioner
Lionheart Champion

Dragonstrike
Dragonmaw

Thanks Blizzard!
I like the idea, I'll be able to pass off a nice look for my weapons, too bad I wont be able to make my daggers look like swords.
Might've already been answered, but can you transmogrify a class-specific armor piece to your gear if you're not the class? I.E, can I transmog my armor into Judgement or Lawbringer?
I tried asking this in another topic, but never heard a response, sorry for asking again, but i am really curious.

I know you need to have the piece of gear to make something else look like it. But what about gear that you have upgraded to its heroic version. Would you have to reacquire the non heroic piece again if you like that color scheme more?

I am referring to T12 mainly.
Allow sets which have a class-specific tag (60 epic dungeon sets, etc) on them to be used (for transmogrification) by players who can equip that armor class. The class required tag would be ignored for display means but you couldn't wear it as stat armor.

..or drop the required class tag on 60's epics, as most of those stats are fairly irrelevant to the class at this point anyhow. Making them still epic, not vendor/DE trash.

e.g. A shadow priest would obtain more gameplay use out of random pieces of warlock armor, than the warlock would. Players would buy/use these pieces if they were unlocked from classes.
