What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

PvP mostly. Did a bit of PvE in Wrath but now that raids are too hard for my friends/guildies and pugging is dead, I don't get to raid much at all.

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

World PvP. You didn't give us that option but it's what I prefer. Arenas are annoying. BGs are semi fun. Rated BGs are what I enjoy most Conquest Point wise and even they aren't that great.

I enjoy world PvP more than anything and I miss places like QD Isle. I think you guys did a great job with Molten Front however it is now dying. I'd like a daily area that scales with content. Somewhere that always has a reason to be there.

Perhaps a PvP area where honor is doubled or tripled with daily quests that award Conquest Points (a set limit for the day, etc) for achieving PvP related objectives (kill so many players, capture points, CTF, FFA STV styled arena with a chest with points or something). With possibly some PvE oriented dailies rewarding a small amount of Valor Points (once again with a limit). These points would of course count towards your cap. It would just be nice to have somewhere you could get your points for the week without having to rely on other players or having to do something you don't enjoy.

Pretty much if you made a zone like that, that rewards Valor/Conquest points, people would always have a reason to go there, even if a new patch comes out.

This wouldn't kill raiding as people would still have to do raids for the best gear nor would it kill Arenas/Rated BGs. It would just make it so that the people didn't have to do something they didn't like.

/end rant

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

Poisons being so slow to apply can be a pain sometimes and it's not worth it to glyph it. Pretty sure everyone else who has weapon enhancements apply them instantly.

I feel like poisons should stack higher in your bags. Semi Annoying having to restock constantly and/or take up lots of room.

Expose Armor (as well as Sunder Armor) should at least, last longer in PvE.

Expose Armor is a real burden as a finisher, I feel it would get more use as just a move that stacked 1/2/3/4 times with an energy cost of around 40/20/13/10. It's just such a bother to use it. 3-5 global CDs plus energy 25 with no ability to simply refresh it is annoying.

Smoke Bomb should be off the GCD.

Sub only Shadowstep is a real bother mobility wise. I could see how other specs having it would be (was) OP but you could make Shadowstep a base 30-45 sec CD with no bonus damage and then reduce the CD and add the damage bonus back in via sub talent(s).

That is all that comes to mind this second.

What makes playing your class more fun?

The ability to, when played correctly, take down anyone. I picked the Rogue because someone told me, or perhaps it was on the char creation screen, that Rogues were an advanced class. I like that. I enjoy stealth and the ability to escape when out numbered.

Edit: Adding second half as soon as I can.
What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

PvE

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

Raiding

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

I find that poisons can be a drudgery to remember to buy and apply. I always put them on, I always restock them, and I will always have to do this. There is no choice to go without poisons; you MUST have poisons. Which means you MUST keep them in your inventory, you MUST remember to re-apply them once every hour (or 45min generally, if you're worried they'll fall off in a fight).

What makes playing your class more fun?

I enjoy stealth, I enjoy being the fast blade wielder in leather, and knowing I can bring an enormous amount of damage to the fight. I've recently switched to combat, and I simply adore how rapidly my cooldowns are available (because of Restless Blades)... being able to throw down a cooldown and really go nuts is a lot of fun.

What makes playing your class less fun?

The ramp-up time for our dps (poison stacks, combo points, Slice and Dice, Bandit's Guile, etc)

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

I have to tell you a secret; I macro Revealing Strike in to happen after every third Sinister Strike. I know you put Revealing Strike in there to make the rotation be more active, but it's silly. I have very competitive DPS, and I never even need to think about RS.

And another secret; I never use Redirect. I either refresh Slice and Dice or put it into a Recuperate (which is macro'd in with my Evis when out of combat).

What’s on your wish list for your class?

Shadowstep as a BASELINE ROGUE ABILITY. Even if this means JUST the teleport, and you put an Improved Shadowstep into the sub tree that grants the damage bonus, etc, I feel that rogues need to be able to not only get to their targets faster, they need to get BEHIND their targets faster. Sprint on a one-minute cooldown was meant to address this, but it does not cut it.

I would like Adrenaline Rush to provide a GCD reduction, similar to how Unholy Presence works for DKs. It is far, far, far too easy to become energy capped because the damned GCD is *too long* while AR is up.

I would like teleport mechanic entirely removed from Killing Spree. It's an unsafe DPS cooldown; it throws you in lava, it teleports you into unpredictable places. it jumps you to not-in-combat passive enemies and leaves you far away from where you need to be. Losing control of my character over and over again just for a few fast hits is terrible.

What spells do you use the least?

Redirect. Expose Armor. Deadly Throw. Combat Readiness now that it shares a cooldown with Cloak of Shadows. They may as well not exist.

@edit I am seeing a lot of rogues mention they do not use Shiv or Dismantle or Smoke Bomb. During Heroic dungeons there were enrages to shiv, some bosses needed to be disarmed, and the smoke bomb brought all the casters happily into melee range. In raiding, it seems NONE of these abilities are useful. Shiv doesn't even work on Maloriak's heal (but Tranq Shot does??). They need some love.

What makes playing your class less fun?

Frost Mages. I feel however that Sub Rogue vs Frost Mage is one of the most balanced fights in the game so perhaps that's a good thing. Most annying is deff Shattered Barrier and Ice Armor. Free slows and roots. Ice Block lasts too long considering Paladin's Divine Shield was brought down to 8 seconds and that the CD on Ice Block is reset with Cold Snap.

Being rooted, which is probabaly why it's annoying fighting Frost Mages. All Roots should be on the same DR.

Shared CD on Combat Readiness/Cloak of Shadows.

Dots/Faerie Fire lasting 20+ seconds. Mostly this is a complaint about Faerie Fire. It's just a set and forget type spell. If a Druid wants to keep a Rogue out of stealth they should have to keep us in combat or at least refresh Faerie Fire about every 15 seconds.

RNG (Random Number Generator). It's not as bad as it was in BC or Wrath now, but it's still bad. When you can lose or win a duel based on whether an attack is dodged or parried (you can't always get behind a target or hit cap it), it's annoying.

Low damage on finishers, mostly Eviscerate. When moves like Ferocious Bite hit so much harder and at the same time Eviscerate hits for less than a backstab, it's a problem. It needs to feel more like a finisher. It would be awesome if Eviscerate was tied in with Rupture. As in, your Eviscerate does a chunk of damage up front and then adds a DoT (big or small) mimicking what would the bleeding after being "Eviscerated" or taking such a huge hit.

I'll go one step further and say it would be cool if in addition or instead of the above, that your melee crits applied rupture. Much like Ignite. It only makes sense that if you hit someone hard enough you would rupture something and they'd bleed a while. Either one of these choices would make it so you didn't have to choose between Rupture and Eviscerate while at the same time having a cool feel to it.

Assassination being all about poisons. I miss the old Assassination where it was more physical. This isn't that big of a deal though.

09/12/2011 09:00 AMPosted by Nethaera
How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

PvE I'd like to say they're all fine. In PvP I know Assassination has low energy due to having to rely on rupture ticks, etc. Coupled with low mobility, it makes what used to be a really fun spec not so fun.

09/12/2011 09:00 AMPosted by Nethaera
What’s on your wish list for your class?

Swirly Ball. ;]

Seriously though, more mobility for Assassination and Combat.

Cloak of Shadows and Combat Readiness off the shared CD.

Smoke Bomb off the GCD.

RNG playing a much smaller role in battles.

Roots (Frost Mages) being all on the same DR.

Perhaps more use for Disarm Trap (possibly used as a root break with a cast time? lol)

Bigger Eviscerate damage or something to make it better.

09/12/2011 09:00 AMPosted by Nethaera
What spells do you use the least?

With the exception of Spec based moves (Talent Moves/Sinister Strike, etc) I use everything quite often. The least used would probabaly be Expose Armor, Tricks of the Trade, and Disarm Trap. Even then, I still use them quite often.
# What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
PvP

# If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
Arena (2300+)

# What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Buying poisons couldn't piss me off more, even though it's really simple

# What makes playing your class more fun?
Using finishers, openers; really cool in my opinion

# What makes playing your class less fun?
Ferals

# How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
Spam hemo keep SnD and Recup up, hard stuff. Make using rupture a bit more appealing, hell even eviscerate is awful (10k evicerate crit? ha 30k ferocious bite cy@)

Also the hemo spam on anything not cloth is kinda boring. I like using backstab here and there to shake things up a bit, but bstab only does the job on cloth/leather, and even then you have to pool energy for a burst with it, since spamming bstab is just horrible CP generation when you're deprived on energy. Make backstab 30 energy, and getting behind targets just got a bit more fun.

# What’s on your wish list for your class?
Better stealth then ferals, since they always find you first (I don't wanna hear the equal level stealth crap that the blue posted before)

I'd also like cheat death to work 100% of the time (procing at 100 health)

Make it jump you back up to 10% health no matter what health it procs at

# What spells do you use the least?
Rupture, it's by far the biggest slap in the face I've ever seen. It's only useful for mute, which is only because of venomous wounds. The damage is just awful, infact is does less then eviscerate. With the hemo glyph, the idea of keeping a bleed on a rogue so prevent stealth it's near pointless to make use of rupture. Up the damage, add some special jazz to it.

Something else which pisses me off is CoS and CR sharing CD. I never use CR now unless I'm facing a melee cleave, which is ironic because no melee cleave would ever go on a rogue, period.

This is due to the derp proof vanish. Make the 3 sec stealth immune 1.5 seconds, and it's a thousand times more balanced. As it stands against ANY team if !@#$ hits the fan, vanish. There, I'm immune for 3 seconds.

Raids

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

Poisons are probably my biggest concern in this regard. If they were to be moved to spells, or possibly a seperate class-based menu similar to Runeforging, that could work well.

What makes playing your class more fun?

When my GCDs are fairly tight, but without energy creeping up, outside of cooldowns/bloodlust. It's a really enjoyable rhythm to get into.

When the stars align and 4pc T12 procs in conjunction with these two trinkets. More for lolnumbers than a mechanic I really like, though.

What makes playing your class less fun?

Three different rampup mechanics. I recall Daxxarri(I think?) responding to a concern about Deadly Poison, saying that it was something that was being looked into. I'll glue my take into the wishlist.

Getting parried is kind of a downer though that's more of a problem with the current content than with the class itself. It ties into your obsession with putting big bosses in spas. :3

PLEASE STOP PUTTING ME UNDER RAG'S HAMMER/FIRE/OTHER FORM OF DEATH, KILLING SPREE. I have a difficult time convincing myself to even push the button on certain fights. Alysrazor Normal? Flip a coin, tails, you get to enjoy a 100yd drop. Al'akir? Into his hitbox you go. Sinestra? Hope you don't mind getting decapitated by a Cutter. It can be argued that it's an interesting mechanic in that you have to use it at a type that won't make you die horribly, but I personally find it to be simply un-fun.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Revealing Strike on an oceanic connection while GCD locked is probably the most annoying thing.

Energy capping as Combat is a less than favorable situation, especially when it's necessary to use Adrenaline Rush in conjunction with Bloodlust. Having two haste-proccing best in slot trinkets, and the ability to win the lottery with a Future on Fire proc while they're up, doesn't really help this. (I do love it when you win that proc string, though.)

Our cooldowns are still on GCDs auuuuuuugh.

The specs have a problem with their AoE. Combat is leaps and bounds in front of anything when there's something to cleave onto, but its effectiveness tapers off compared to Assassination's very powerful Fan of Knives when there are larger numbers of targets. Subtlety's crying in a corner.

What’s on your wish list for your class?

I would really, really like it if a mechanic similar to Inner Rage were offered to Combat. Aforemented "Every Haste Buff Humanly Possible" concerns.

Delete Backstab and roll it into Sinister Strike. Do something similar with Shred, but that's a druid problem so not really the point here. I don't see the point in having a distinction between the two abilities, and if Sinister Strike were changed to an arrangement akin to Ambush(more damage if dagger used for attack), it'd open up the gear range for both Combat and Subtlety, and keep Subtlety from being immediately discarded on fights which you cannot get behind the boss.

Those target switching problems. Turn Bandit's Guile into a targeted debuff rather than a self buff, so I can attack flamespirits on Majordomo. Aldriana's suggested this before; turn Deadly Poison into an Assassination-specialised ability.

If that suggestion of Deadly Poison as a specialisation is taken heed of, it couldn't hurt to take it one step further- Why not remove Instant Poison as well, and roll the damage into the other poisons? This'd make poison selection a tradeoff between debuffs, rather than the no-brainer which is damage vs debuffs.

Killing Spree- I think this ability should be given a good hard look as to whether it should remain in the game as it stands. My suggestion would be to heavily rework it to instead create a clone of the Rogue which does the bouncy-jumpy-stabby, while still proccing Combat Potency, Main Gauche, poisons, and increasing damage dealt by the rogue. Combat isn't really working at all in a PvP environment, so I don't think that's a big concern.

Revealing Strike is neat. Expose Armor is useless. Let's glue them together and give Warriors the finger by depriving them of unique Shattering Throw.

What spells do you use the least?

I really have a hard time finding a use for Expose Armor.

PVE

None

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

Poisons. If they were instant applied that would be sick.

What makes playing your class more fun?

Stealth and cheapshot is fun. I love being able to move around undetected.

What makes playing your class less fun?

Energy regeneration is annoying. If it was faster that would be a huge plus.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Assassination rotation is great. For combat, I wish they would go back to the WoW vanilla rotation.

What’s on your wish list for your class?

Bring back fast offhand swords, maces, fist and axes for rogues. I REALLY miss being combat in the sense I could use "2 swords" for example. Ever since Cataclysm, I hate the fact that I have to use a dagger as an offhand. If you brought these back in the next patch that would be amazing.

What spells do you use the least?

Smoke Bomb and Blind since I do not PvP.

■What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

Get rid of the timer for poisons and the need to keep poisons in our bag. I saw a blue post where they described it as almost being necessary to feel like a rogue, but I don't see how that makes sense. It's annoying and frustrating.

■What makes playing your class more fun?

I like all the abilities we have and the fact that our rotation isn't completely retarded.

■What makes playing your class less fun?

The fact that we have to use defensive cooldowns in order to increase our DPS (vanish, tricks, etc...). It's really stupid that as subtlety and assassination, I have to blow vanish and then I no longer have it when I really need it to save myself or the raid via mass rez.

The fact that killing spree is almost impossible to use in a lot of fights in firelands or in other places. Please just make it stick to a target and not make me fly around everywhere.

The fact that our ramp up time is ridiculous in assassination and combat.

That only assassination has a half decent AOE.

■How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Mutilate: I think it's perfect. People complain about being energy starved but I am aggravated that people equate mashing keys every GCD to being fun. How the hell is that fun? As mutilate I can actually enjoy the fight. It's the reason why I won't play a DK.

Combat: Being energy capped here really sucks. Heroism + adrenalin rush almost always equates to wasting energy. Coupled with the fact that in fights like rag I am forced to get parried or else I won't be healed, which always guarantees me capping my energy. Having to revealing strike also seems nonsensical.

Subtlety: I kinda like it despite it being a lot more involved. I think I would go crazy if I had to main that spec constantly though.

■What’s on your wish list for your class?

PvE:

1. More raid utility. But please not something that is actively involved while we're dpsing which creates a dps loss, or some buff we have to cast and worry about. Better passive raid wide buffs would be nice.
2. Target switching! Please make it so combo points stick to us and we don't have to build up deadly poison stacks or attack the target forever to get insight stacks. Don't tell me it's a design decision when classes like warriors have no issue target switching.
3. Less ramp up time. Take away deadly poison stacking. Do NOT give us an ability like DK's outbreak. That is not a convenience, that is an annoyance.
4. Position requirements should be less annoying. Feral druids have it worse here.

■What spells do you use the least?

Shiv (but I don't care to use it if it's going to be a dps loss)
Gouge
Deadly throw
Smoke bomb

Final thoughts. I hope you don't listen to other rogues when they say they want to hit more buttons and mash them. There are other classes that play like that and they're completely aggravating. Rogues actually allow me to enjoy the game, and if we end up hitting a button every GCD then enjoying the game becomes impossible for me.
What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
PvE

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Raids

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Honestly feel Rogue quality of life is pretty good overall.

What makes playing your class more fun?
Our capability of assuming many roles in raids. I've handled quite a few unique mechanics that, while could be done by another class, have been assigned to me because of my survivability. To elaborate on this I mean fights such as VnT where I did the shadow realm, or on Conclave soloing the Wind Platform, and even on Alysrazor going up in the air.

What makes playing your class less fun?
It does seem that alot of the current content's fights are much more ranged friendly than melee friendly. I read the rule of not complaining about dps, but these types of target switching and movement intensive fights really limit the playability of assassination due to ramp up time, and kind of pigeon hole us into playing combat if we want to stay competitive overall.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
I feel that Mutilate is a little too easy, as long as someone understands the basics of evenom clipping and energy pooling there is very little that truely defines a good rogue. The only quarrel I do have with mutilate is our ramp up time on new targets. This was aleviated some with Redirect, however, I think that maybe we should have the capability through possibly a glyph to redirect poisons and rupture, much like the warlocks ability to swap dots onto the new target, this would allow us more easily switch to new targets without losing dps

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Glyph of Redirect
1h Agi Swords
Lower CD on Redirect

What spells do you use the least?
Expose Armor
Shiv
Pick Pocket
What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
Both, but mostly PvE.

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Quests and Dungeons.

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
BGs. I don't have the time or skill for arena/rated.

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Lack of diverse selection of weapons; Most specifically thrown.

What makes playing your class more fun?
Stealth and all the "sneaky" tricks rogues have.

What makes playing your class less fun?
Being on of the most brittle classes in the game. Damage output was classically a trade-off, but now rogues don't have the same damage ratio that they once did. DKs putting up enormous numbers and having the Heath and armor in addition seems indicative of how rogues are now vs. how they were in the past.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
Subtlety is and has always been my favorite spec. The rotation is difficult and unforgiving to be reasonably effective. It seems that minor mistakes and fight mobility result in a huge damage drop. I'm not one that is hung up on min/max numbers, but the rotation is generally a bit punishing right now.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
More "unique" rogue abilities. Not just another mechanics that every class has, but with a rogue-like name. Something useful but fun.

What spells do you use the least?
Probably shiv, and deadly throw. Good skills, but very situational.
If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Mostly raids, some heroics and dailies but that is mostly to get ready for raids.

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
All, as mush as I can.

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Poisons taking up bag space.

What makes playing your class more fun?
Stealth and other ninja type abilities.

What makes playing your class less fun?
Frost mages, you really should just get rid of those ;)

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.) Deadly poison takes too long to stack, I often don't have a single stack by the time I'm ready for my first envenom, and the rotation is a little too reliant on venomous wounds for energy returns, it often feels like I'm waiting to do something.
The ramp up time, and the finicky nature of energy procs can make target switching a nightmare.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Wouldn't mind seeing assassination and combat get some help in the mobility department for pvp, I don't ever feel like playing them in pvp because any ranged class can root and slow and it's an auto win for them. Heck I've been kited to death by DK's while playing assassination.

What spells do you use the least?
Pickpocket I guess, lol.
What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

Mostly PvE content.

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

Raids. I'm 1/7 HM firelands

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
N/A

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

No longer having to buy poisons would be cool. Overall quality of life for Rogues is pretty good.

What makes playing your class more fun?

I would think having a more useful 31 point talent in the combat tree would be fun. Killing Spree often does more harm then good and does not do nearly enough damage to make this risk/reward pay off. I would also have more fun if target switching was not such a chore. Melee classes in general would be more fun if there where more fights designed for them to thrive. I don't think I'm alone when I say I feel WoW is a very ranged biased game.

What makes playing your class less fun?

Target switching. Lots of down time (ie running from target to target). Energy Capping, Driving Rhyolith.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

I really like the assassination rotation. I like managing my buffs/debuffs and not feeling like I have to mash my attack button. Combat on the other hand feels like a constant battle to keep from energy capping. I do like the fast energy rotation to an extent but given that combat main CD is Adrenaline Rush just feels like too much energy at times. If you pop it and a haste trinket is up your probably going to cap, if you pop it and your under blood lust your probably going to cap. I like cool downs that stack well with other cool downs.

What’s on your wish list for your class?

1) Remove Killing Spree and replace it with something better. An armor pen. ability would be cool.
2) Make target swapping easier. Combo points on the rogue would be awesome but even if just Bandits Guile stayed with the rogue I would be happy.
3) Make the combat rotation a little less spammy. Maybe increase both the energy cost of SS as well as the damage it deals?
4) Either a Legendary weapon next tier or at least a higher ilvl one off the end boss.

What spells do you use the least?
Shiv, expose armor, mind numbing poison, gouge, combat readiness (only since it got put on the same CD as cloak), smoke bomb, kidney shot, rupture (when I play Combat), dismantle.
What type of content do you focus on?
Both, but this post will focus on PVP

If PvE, what type of PvE?
Raids

If PvP, what type of PvP?
All of the above

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Being kited endlessly with no hope of ever catching my opponent. Hunters are especially frustrating due to Disengage, Deterrence, and both of those with their glyphs and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera.

What makes playing your class more fun?
The element of surprise.

What makes playing your class less fun?
Being locked out of stealth for long periods of time due to long-duration DoTs or faerie fire. Dealing with poisons (bag space, duration, application time, etc.)

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
No complaints here, PvE or PvP

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Something like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera that modifies the Shadowstep cooldown when being hit by ranged attacks would be fantastic.
Disarm traps while out of stealth.
Sap while my target is in combat...To my knowledge, no other ability in the game works this way.
Combo Points on me, not my target...Like Holy Power.

What spells do you use the least?
Expose Armor. I think the last time I used the ability was when the Argent Tournament was current content.

What makes playing your class less fun?- Combo points do not stack on me, only monsters

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.) - Rotation is fine, would like to be able to put rupture in as well but it didn't scale very well with gear and it's not viable to put in my raiding rotation.

Combat Readyness, I feel with its switch to being on a shared CD with cloak and already having no use in PvE one of the new spells that was given to rogues at expansion is rarely used. However its original form was to strong for PvP so not exactly sure how to change it.

What makes playing your class more fun?
Amazing utility while still being a top DPS class

What makes playing your class less fun?
My only current complaint about the class is with Combat Readiness

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
The rotation for mut is good fairly simple which is nice, Combat is slightly more complicated and thus I prefer it, and sub for is pretty crazy. The only one that I would say needs tweaking for PvE is sub and thats only if you guys wanted it to be as viable as combat and mut.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
A very large DPS cd maybe on a 10min timer or something.

What spells do you use the least?
Combat Readiness,
•What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

Both but more PvE Dominate

•If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

Raids, Heroics

•If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

BG's and RBG's

•What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

The only thing i could really think that a rogue could use would b a raid buff (other then the 5% crit buff in sub). Give mut and combat something other then straight numbers to the raid.

•What makes playing your class more fun?

I love being able to sneak past mobs and and play w ppl in bg's (sapping, cheap shot then vanish etc). Also i LOVE pickpocketing. I like it for the random stuff you can find doing this, also the free gold is superb!!

•What makes playing your class less fun?

Fights where you have to stand in front of a boss can get annoying. Even as a combat rogue being expertise capped its still annoying. I saw alot of rogues complaining about frost mages, if u handle your CD's correctly guys the r cake. But i digress, my only complaint about rogues and playing one is the lack of buffs we bring to the raids and poisons. I have no prob putting poisons on my weapons, it brings a uniqness to the class, but maybe a 2 hr duration instead of a 1 hr would b killer.

•How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Honestly I cant really find any complaints in the rotation. Yes mut is easier to keep your finishers up but combat is just as simple once the muscle memory is in place.

•What’s on your wish list for your class?

Like i have mentioned above, raid buffs would be awesome. just something that would bring more value to a rogue being in raid since w the new cata content raid comps r very critical as to what classes and buffs you bring to the fight. Its not all about the numbers anymore. Also getting rid of the shared CD for combat readiness and cloak. In my opinion this was a bad move as i used both as survival CD's. Now w the shared CD its one or the other and cloak will always win that battle.

•What spells do you use the least?

Where do i begin here.... Shiv, Gouge, Distract, i could go on but yea. I dont even know why they are even in our spell book. I nor any rogue i have encountered use those spells. (well maybe gouge in PVP but its minimal at best)
# If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
- Combat Rogue mostly doing Heroics/Raids/Soloing & Exploring old content

# If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
- Don't pvp very much

# What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
- Poisons not requiring a consumable, but instead is a type of buff that can be applied to our weapons. I dislike having to use 5 bag spaces to carry all my poisons (even if I never use some of them eg. mind numbing poison)
- Not being able to bring something else useful to a raid besides dps

# What makes playing your class more fun?
- Damage potential, stealth, target control through our various abilities, and survivability

# What makes playing your class less fun?
- Encounters requiring a lot of movement making it much more desirable for range dps than melee mainly as most of our time is spent energy capped running around all over the place. - Bandits guile build up duration

# How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
- Over all I'm satisfied with my current rotation (Combat primarily) and available situational abilities

# What’s on your wish list for your class?
- Being able to move while casting throw/shoot (never understood why a rogue shouldn't be able to do this)
- Poisons not requiring a consumable, but instead is a type of spell/buff that can be applied to our weapons, dislike having to use 5 bag spaces to carry all my poisons (even if I never use some of them)
- Combo points stay with the character, not the opponent. While redirect does address this issue, the 1 min cool down is a bit high for fights with a lot of add switching, reducing the cooldown on redirect would be a nice change if points staying with the opponent/target can't be done.
- More accessible thrown weapons, at least two options should be available. One purchasable through valor points and one through a boss or craftable
- Increase the range that is required for Feint. Remove the Melee range and make it something like 10-15 yards
- Some way to use our energy to create a combo point while in combat that doesn't require us to be attacking to avoid energy capping during certain situations (eg. heavy movement fights, running away from boss abilities, etc.). Restrictions could be put on it such as a cooldown, or can only be used on abilities that are already currently active (eg. to refresh slice and dice or recuperate, etc.)
- More encounters where disarm trap can be used or is required (eg. Shannox, ICC trash room)

# What spells do you use the least?
- While I do find uses for almost all my abilities, Shiv, Deadly Throw, Smoke bomb, Disarm Trap are the ones I use the least

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

Only one spec is competitive. I would like to see combat and assasination atleast mildly competitive.

The abilities that are holding up subtlety too much are: Shadowstep & Preparation.

The amount of damage all specs do are comparable (subtley actually does more due to tremendously more mobility and Shadow Dance Burst CD) so I would honestly like to see the mobility of Assasination and Combat improved at least. Baseline Shadowstep has been suggested for a while now by the community.

What makes playing your class more fun?

Having options to switch between 3 specs for pvp. I realize one spec will always be dominant but I wish the other 2 weren't so far behind. In WOTLK Assas and Sub were competitive in PvP when sub was buffed a little towards the end of the expansion. If you ask yourself the question why were these 2 specs competitive you will realize that it was because Assas actually was able to have Preparation (and it also had the talent that reduced movement speed reduction effect duration)

What makes playing your class less fun?

Aweful mobility of assas and combat. They feel like purely PvE specs.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Energetic Recovery should be tied in to Slice and Dice not Recuperate. The decision to heal should be seperate from the decision to do damage. Also, it would help ease Sub's pve rotation.

What’s on your wish list for your class?

1. An execute type ability. We are assasins right?
2. Grapling hook type ability to ease mobility concerns (if shadowstep is not given baseline) shares CD with Shadowstep.
3. Deadly Poison reduced to 2-3 stacks instead of 5
4. Bandit's guile stacks not falling off when switching targets
5. Revealing strike reducing the targets armor as well as its current effects. If necessary add a CD to it. Can also just have Revealing Strike boost Expose Armor for the rogue only not the raid. Ie 75% armor ignore for 10 sec or something.

What spells do you use the least?
Rupture - pathetic dmg
Sinister Strike - pathetic dmg (aweful sound too)
Combat Readiness
Expose Armor
What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

PvE

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

Raiding mostly, I do sometimes do some heroics to valor cap though if I miss some bosses.

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

There's none really, Poisons are very low on my radar for things that annoy me with Rogues, the really big one for me is Feint requiring a target to be used, Nefarian in Blackwing Decent was a bad bad bad example of this in P2 where he could cast Electrocute in the air if your raid decided to use that tactic of pushing him over in P2, or even twice depending how good your healers were, that being said Cloak doesn't block the damage like AMS did for some reason, so Feint was our only defensive cooldown and we couldn't use it because of melee range requirement.
I'd really like Adrenaline Rush to reduce my GCD cap by an amount while it's active, namely on bosses where you can be parried you find yourself capping very easily.
Killing Spree needs to be redesigned as well.

What makes playing your class more fun?

The high dps, since we really can't do anything else, we don't have movement like a Warrior, no sort of magical slows and grips like a DK, no amazing bleeds like a Feral, our really only selling point is damage(we can't even really burst dps that well due to lack of hard hitting cooldowns, this is very apparent on Sons of Flames in the Rag encounter) and we take less damage on some bosses via Feint.
Our offhand as Combat always required to be a dagger is also a terrible thing(Hint hint, you can fix this by letting daggers be transmoggable to Swords/Axes/Maces in 4.3, we're the only dual wield class getting screwed by weapon symmetry).

What makes playing your class less fun?

When Bandit's Guile fades right as a high damage phase starts, target switching in general, sure I can Blade Flurry but adds aren't always close enough for that.
Lack of weapon choices.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Rotation is good, I like Restless Blades, I don't like Bandit's Guile however, I feel like too much of my DPS is tied to something beyond my control of timing, if anything it should be a cooldown that increases your damage by 30% and replaces Killing Spree or something because Killing Spree is terrible.

What’s on your wish list for your class?

- Killing Spree not moving you, would be nice if dealt higher and higher damage as you hit more targets so we have a bit of an option for AoE if Blade Flurry does get nerfed(which it should).

- Adren Rush lowering the GCD cap by half during it's active period.

- Tricks of the Trade usable on self but provides no damage increase or extra threat generation when using T12 4P(Mostly for solo'ing stuff, not a big deal but would be nice).

- Combat Readiness and Cloak of Shadows unlinked, CR should've eaten the nerf, not CloS.

- Gouge no longer breaks on Deadly Poison or any other DoTs that belong to Assassination(deep talent of some sort).

- Bandit's Guile no longer resets on switching(DPS balancing might need some tweaking here, but I hate how it drops when I'm forced to switch and Redirect isn't back up, it's not often, so it's another minor change I'd like to see happen) or is now a burst DPS cooldown.

- Preperation baseline.

What spells do you use the least?

Expose Armor(Who decided to put that talent in the Assassination tree btw? that was mind blowingly silly).
