I love how homosexual is also sensored... didn't know my sexual orientation was considered bad by Blizzard.

And so it begins....let the endless ranting about "discrimination" commence.

you know what your right! we should also ban words like black and white, hell lets ban purple to we are on a roll!
I was going to complain about the homosexual filter, but in-game they censor heterosexual as well .. so it actually doesn't bother me. The filter doesn't mind bisexual people, though. I completely disagree that it's a bad thing children know about the different lives different people lead .. you don't 'pick up' being gay from learning the word homosexual. It's ridiculous. Still, as long as they're being fair ..

Transexual however .. I can see why this word being censored would bother you - but the more accurate and PC way to refer to people like that is now 'Transgender'. The word Transgender is not censored in-game. I just tested it out. T
Jeebus this thread's depressing. I thought we'd moved beyond all these prejudices at least a little.
Rubbing fox poop on yourself is ok in this game. being transexual is not.
Dreamcrusher D*!%!

Lotta things are censored...

LOL'D

Bi-sexuals, questioning and transgendered people are still in that in between phase.

Bisexuals are not in a "between" phase. We are perfectly comfortable in our attraction to both genders, and I'd thank you to appreciate that. The same can be said for transgendered individuals, as well. Please don't lump us with those who are "going through a phase", so to speak.
Homosexual is censored out too.
The filter is clearly a bit buggy as we've seen with Dreamcrusher D*!%* and other words cleverly hiding malicious language. There blue post the other day with some perfectly innocent language being censored. It's not that Blizzard thinks that being !@#$%^-*!@# is a bad thing, a dirty thing, or not appropriate for kids. It's that their filter doesn't know what it's doing and is blocking anything with the word "sex" in it.

I thought that was the case, but it's not. The word sex is uncensored in-game. If you try typing out '!@#$' and 'hetero' all by their lonesome, they're censored. At least in-game. The forums censor 'homosexual' (-sexual) and not 'hetero'. -.-

Why not? Gay people are lumped in to groups like that. If I misunderstand bisexuality I apologize. But in MY personal experience bisexuals do seem like they're in a "between"phase. Gay people are at the end of their road of personal sexual definition. We know who and what we will be with until the day we die. We know what gender and what type of person we want to be with. Can the same be said of bisexuals?
Also, something funny about the filter:
!@#$= censored (p o r n)
%^-*= censored (p r o n)
porno= not censored
Yes, the filter is capable of recognizing a word as a part of another word, but for some reason it doesn't most of the time.

I won't contribute to the lost cause of arguing against the religious with science or knowledge, so GL to those who do.

Certainly. I know exactly who I want to be with until the day I die and he happens to be male. This doesn't change the fact that I am also sexually attracted to females, and being attracted to both genders clearly doesn't preclude me from knowing with whom I want to form a life-long, meaningful relationship.

Gender isn't a limiting characteristic to a bisexual person. Some people have a preference for blonde hair. Some people don't care about hair and just go for eye color. Doesn't mean they're inbetween hair color preferences at the moment, its just not that big a deal.

Other people discriminating against your sexuality doesn't mean you can do the same to others. I'm sorry if you didn't mean it like that, but your 'why not?' seemed to imply it.

Bisexuality is sometimes a phase someone as a teenager goes through(as is being homosexual - I do not believe that sexuality can be chosen, but I do believe hormones can confuse SOME teenagers) .. bisexuality is also a legitimate sexual orientation. A person can be interested in both genders and be comfortable in that fact.

Transgenders are very rarely if ever a phase. They typically feel they should be the opposite gender since they day were able to comprehend genders. They're in the wrong body with the wrong parts - that never goes away.
Sorry, I went to get my VP before Tuesday. Did this thread go anywhere?
