I went to see this movie on my 21st birthday, and I don't recall anyone before you claiming it was a horror movie.

Everytime I saw it listed in magazines or programming guides, it was categorized as horror.
Does Gremlins count as a horror movie because when i was little that used scare me i used set up a fort for safety when i watched it

Willy Wonka Tunnel
The only movie I can remember that seriously scared me as a kid was "Jaws". What was even worse was my dad took us to Orlando to visit some cousins 2 weeks later. There were 5 of us kids. I often wondered if that was his way to keep us from getting into trouble in the ocean. O.o

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: When Bilbo freaked out as Frodo was tucking the ring into his mithril.

I jumped 20 feet. It was like a screamer video but I wasnt even expecting it.

It's 'cause James Cameron was just trying to outdo Ridley Scott in the sci-fi horror department.
