Yeah I agree, the moon is awesome.
Bill O'Reilly disagrees

The moon is a lie. Mars is where it's at.

Did you know that the moon has an apparent size of about half a degree, or about a pinky's width at arm length? Meanwhile, the Andromeda Galaxy has an apparent length along it's major axis of over three degrees -- this is over 6 times the apparent size of the moon or about the width of your hand at arms length.

STATELY, PLUMP BUCK MULLIGAN CAME FROM THE STAIRHEAD, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed. A yellow dressing gown, ungirdled, was sustained gently-behind him by the mild morning air. He held the bowl aloft and intoned:

-- Introibo ad altare Dei.
Darl had a little spy-glass he got in France at the war.
So it goes.
Talk to me.

You're too young to remember Ricky Martin
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to always tell the difference.
The human organism always worships. First, it was the gods, then it was fame (the observation and judgment of others), next it will be self-aware systems you have built to realize truly omnipresent observation and judgment.
The human species was given dominion over the earth and took the opportunity to exterminate other species and warm the atmosphere and generally ruin things in its own image, but it paid this price for its privileges: that the finite and specific animal body of this species contained a brain capable of conceiving the infinite and wishing to be infinite itself.
Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks to emperors. Today we kneel only to truth.
