Can't connect to servers

Mac Technical Support
All of the server names are red and I can not enter my own server
It would be nice for blizz to figure this out... sent tickets created threads and it seems i just get brushed off to the side. It is a problem with a lot of people too, woulda thought they fixed it by now or at least identified the problem.
Very frustrating, because i feel like im wasting my time uninstalling and installing just so i can TRY and make it work out, only to find out i am back at square one.
i just re-download / re-install the game , I still CAN NOT enter nor change realm.
mackhan are you guys at least trying to work towards solving this issue or are you leaving us in the dust on this one? Maybe identifying the issue so the ones at school can work with our IT departments to fix it?

not trying to be a jerk, I just wanna play!
We're trying to investigate it still.

We do need additional data for users unable to connect from networks like colleges, universities and other public connections. Do you have the ability to download an app called Wireshark to help us get connection info? Please let me know and I can reach out to you via email.
This is happening to me now, as a guildy of mine had this happen tues night 1am est.

same exact thing is happening to me
I'm having the same problem also. All realms are red.

I'm playing from my home. I'm also able to connect and play D3 with no problems, if that helps.
I am having the same issues. I am near a university, and can help you guys collect data as needed, I just want to play the game again! :p
My server names all all red as well and whenever I try to connect to one it always ends with "disconnected from server"

Same here...I was able to logon but rebooted the game almost immediately after logon. When I logged back in, it says the connection was a success but then immediately says "Disconnected from server" - back to the logon screen, or takes me to the realm selection screen where all the server names are red. I selected my main server, try to logon and then repeats the above.

EDIT: I am using a private, secured connection at my home. Results of a bandwidth test from speedtest.net at the time of logon:

- Ping = 33ms
- D/L Speed = 25.19 Mbps
- U/L Speed = 4.51 Mbps

Here is my connection log:

Geppetto that is exactly my issue. It is also happening to a guildie, and an in-game friend-Seems like a system wide error.

I was on, and I logged off to fix what I thought was a addon glitch.
I am not near a unni.
Having this problem now myself, was on fine not even an hour ago, now it's like this.
Just happened to me on Azuremyst server. I've tried like 10 times to log back in. Ironically I was in the game and had some lag to logged out to refresh my internet. Then I couldn't log back in and am having the SAME as described above. It acts like it's connecting but then it disconnects.

I'd like to add that I'm on PC computer - just realized this is in the Mac support rofl.
Same thing happening to me- private residence. I did a tracert on the realm I'm trying to reach, here it is:

C:\Users\>tracert 206.16.119.53

edit: I'm running WOW on windows 7. My router is a standard dlink running stock firmware. I can get into battle.net's account management page. I can connect to vent. Obviously, I can connect to the internet to write this :D

edit 2: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/6571487159 is a much longer thread.
I'm not on any kind of third party host. I'm at home, and like I said I was literally online with no problem ten minutes ago until the server booted me offline.

I didn't do anything between then and now to cause anything on my end, I was literally on one second and off the next, unable to connect. I don't have any third party firewalls or anything of the sort whatsoever, just basic protection firewalls on my machine.
Just adding. My wife is sitting beside me and has the red servers but I am on fine - I have been on for the last maybe 20 minutes without any issues thus far.

Edit: wife rebooted, upon wow launch it re-downloaded the patch and she's in/fine now.
Seems the solution for me was to flush dns as was described for the Linux user above.

in Windows the commandline is:

ipconfig /flushdns
Make sure the client you are logging into is up to date. We just dropped a new patch it seems. (5.0.5a). The launcher wasn't updating until now.
