Intermittent but Frequent Sound Issue

Mac Technical Support
Short description: I'll be playing along, everything is fine, then suddenly when something in the sound changes, (new ambient sound introduced, music changes), everything will freeze for a fraction of a second then be ok again. It's not something I would want to live with in PvP, but questing right now it's no big deal.

Only thing is, it happens during the cut scene cinematics. I'll be watching the cinematic and poof, no sound, maybe ambient sound, and I don't get to hear the rest of the dialog. I was in the middle of the scene where the Panda is having a vision about what the war means and I was all into it and poof, no sound. I tapped the keyboard and was thrown out of the cut scene.

I see from looking around there are a large number of sound problems, but I didn't see any that quite match what I'm experiencing.

I'm on a late model iMac

I'm still having this issue. It definitely seems sound related. It seems to happen when there is a shift in sound.

Can you copy / paste the contents of your sound.log file.

Also note down the exact date/times this is happening and search through for any sound related errors that come up around the time the sound disappears. is in Applications -> Utilities.
