on a new sever and if so how did it go.
Sucked. went back to my main realm.
Yes, it became my main though cata and my first 85.
Yes & it has gone alright.

I still play KC much more though.
Yes. It went well.

No mains to mooch money from.
No heirlooms.
No guild perks.

Nothing.

Good old fashioned World of Warcraft leveling.
A few times. Since you know what you're doing it's incredibly easy to level and get gold as you level (I had 2000 on one server I levelled on by 40). The only down side is that you can't p[lay with your friends.

oh wow thats cool. :)
You bet.

I did it back in BC. I've done it on toons on the same server (using my "Toons stand on their own two feet model" of toon leveling).

It's no big deal.

In my style of play I've relied more on the AH and complete strangers than my stable of toons most of the time anyway, since I generally rarely had the patience to level profession. This time around, all my 85's are capped with their respective profs, but that was a distinct effort in late Cata to do this, and I certainly don't have all the profs covered. So even then I rely on the goodness of the AH and strangers.

The biggest thing missing from a new toon with no support is bags. I missed those the most, to the point that I was paying the gray vendors for 6 and 8 slot bags until I could finally afford Netherweave bags from the AH.

Money is never an issue with leveling, I always found Skinning more than capable of paying for lowbie toon needs, but I've never played on a really low pop server with a crummy AH. Just following the basic rules of sell everything on the AH, and get a gathering prof.

Despite the toon infrastructure I have now, I'd not hesitate to jump in to a new server if there was a good reason to do so. If I got in to a from scratch re-roll group for example. It's no big deal.
Looking at him.

I've done this twice.

There isn't a third Krigjer because I deleted him.
I do it ever so often when I want a fresh community to hang around. Usually keep the toons and visit from time to time. I've even held onto to some guilds for years that way, it's always a joy to log in and see names I know still hanging around.
That's what this toon was. Fresh reroll on a new server. She's now my main, and main cheevo and pet/mount collector.
Yup, this is a reroll on a different server from my first 85. Also have 3 85 alts and an 86. I almost never even log on that old server anymore. Last time I did, I was embarrassed by the terrible gear I had on (fury warrior with agility trinkets???) so it was interesting to see how far I've come since then.
I have 8 85's across 4-5 realms and multiple 70's and 80's on about another 3-4 realms.

It's easy.
Yep! I’ve done it on both realms where RL friends played and realms where I was completely and utterly new to the population. I actually really enjoyed the experience (and challenge!) of starting over from scratch and making entirely new friends along the way. Especially with the advent of the Real ID and Battle Tag integration, it’s also become increasingly easier for me to keep in touch with and group with friends from other realms. :)
