Take your time good sirs, there be no rush upon you to bring this out just yet.
We will perservere

This is a blizz employee posting either that or a blizz fanboi.

I paid $40 for the game and $15 per month, I have a right to be angry that I am being screwed over. Inscription only really makes money at the beginning of an expansion and three of the days the DMF is out have been unable to trade inks and make cards. Need to make gold that will last the entire expansion in this week and blizz is dropping the ball.

You have had plenty of opportunity to make money.
Its not Blizzard's fault you choose not to farm or buy herbs to make your cards, you took a gamble they would have it out by now and it didnt pay off.
Live with it
and yes the cards are the only thing of real value to a scribe cuz the market is overflooded with the enchants ...being a chanter and a scribe i know this come on blizz get on the ball

You sir are sadly mistaken in your supposition.... the reason everyone has 10k inks is because they have farmed the herbs to make the cards. farmed...and farmed...and farmed. And most have no more room for ink of dreams to try to even proc a misty pigment on more herbs. So what then? Vendor my ink of dreams to make room for more herbs? Or trade them like blizzard said i could 12 hours ago?

And what did those people do will all the Starlights they produced with those inks? Shoulder enchants? They chose short term sales over long term sales. But I'd venture to say than many did NOT mill all those inks themselves but bought them from other scribes.

As for what to do when inks are clogging up your bagspace, you could resort to the time honoured tradition of mailing about 80% of those Ink of Dreams to a little used alt and keeping them in the mailbox for up to 30 days. Consider it unlimited temporary storage.

I think that clears up most of the paper-thin excuses of not being able to produce Starlights without an updated ink trader.

Note to Jdrockefella: I like the cut of your jib. I sense wind trader material.

Ya know I'm trying to stay patient here b/c I know crap happens. But this is a good point. Can we at least get an extension to DMF if this doesn't get fixed soon? That's really all most of us want out of this.

At the moment, a lot of us are gonna be pretty darn broke if we can't turn over all this ink soon. I understand, as do many that things break, and all we're asking is that we get compensated the time we're losing. Otherwise we're looking at a HUGE reduction in value for these cards by the time the fair comes around next month.

And despite others acting like it's no big deal, scribes really don't make any money outside of this. It's kind of our one shot deal at making some cash for the next year.

You do realize Scroll of Wisdom limits how many cards you can make right? As for the recipe that allows you to use Spirit of Harmony instead, you are still limited by the fact you cant farm massive amounts of it.

I have made a scroll every day since launch. So yes, I'm well aware. Know what else I'm aware of? The fact that I have about 900 ink of dreams sitting in my bank, 4 scrolls left and no starlight ink to be had.

Get more room, the potential for storage is endless, but you know that. Your not that stupid that you don't know you can mail em to an alt.
Don't use it as an excuse because you didnt buy/farm enough herbs or only bought Green Tea Leaf. Those who didn't gamble on the Trader managed to get enough and will survive just fine with or without.
Not Blizzard's responsibility to cover the losses of gamblers

lol only 900 i am looking at 1500
Calling it now.

They are going to "fix" it right after the Darkmoon Faire closes.
I have 15000 Ink of Dreams. Do you hear me complaining? :)

A very gracious compliment good sir.
Good luck in your Goblin adventures.

It's not a gamble to assume blizzard will do what they said they will.

Or it shouldn't be at least.

Shhh... It's very bad form to laugh at anyone's stockpile. No doubt there are lurkers in this thread with stockpiles in the tens of thousands, so let's not draw out their lawl-hammer. Both 900 and 1500 are respectable numbers, now get back to work, you greedy goblins!

[edit] see? I was too late ;) Hang tough, everyone. Hope we wake up to some good news tomorrow. Cheers!

Unfortunately, when attempting to apply the hotfix, we ran into additional issues in testing. We don't have an ETA on when this will be able to be applied as of yet, but will be continuing to work on it. It's not a cut and dry fix unfortunately. Again, we appreciate everyone's patience while we work this out.

Hm I'm honestly pretty curious what issues could have popped up, it was implemented when 5.0.4 first popped up no?

Hopefully this gets fixed before the Faire is over.

Finally some sanity to the conversation. Too many crybabies in this thread who would rather Blizz just give them a free level 90 character and millions of gold. You took the gamble on short term sales and it didnt pay off. I have personally milled MoP Herbs and have less than 2000 ink of dreams yet I was still able to have enough Starlight to craft over 48 Darkmoon Cards from this milling operation. What you guys want to help the market will actually destroy the market but you cant see past your nose. now just pony up the coinage to make a Darkmoon card or stop your whining.

Storage space is not the argument, you said its not Blizzard's fault no one took the time to farm or buy the herbs to make the inks. Which is blatantly wrong. How do you think we got all of the inks we have if we didn't farm or buy them? Did they magically appear in our bags? Some leprechaun shat them out of the end of a rainbow into my bank? How many of them I want to store has no bearing on the simple fact they said it would be available and it is not. Perhaps you misunderstand what the issue is at hand period, which is the fact we want to trade all of our ink of dreams for starlight inks to get rid of them out of our inventory. There's no gambling here...it isn't a casino.

Actually no, you could still trade Blackfollow inks for lesser inks it was just the graphic that was changed.

4:26 p.m. PDT *This has been delayed and an additional update will be provided as soon as we have one to provide. Thank you for your patience and our apologies for any inconvenience.

Please delay it for another month or two. Having inscription be the only profession where you actually lose money on enchantments because there's no barrier to entry, isn't going to be fun.

FWIW, I'd wager the quick fix they did putting the vendor back to Cata inks is where the trouble lies now. It's easy to jam a square peg into a round hole if you have a big enough hammer, but then try taking it out and putting the round peg back snugly.

2000 inks, 48 darkmoon cards... means 480 inks, means for every 4 normal pigment you got 1 rare pigment, meaning you got a rare pigment of every other mill event for approximately 2000 mills.

Yeah, I'm calling BS on this. Rare pigments don't have a 50% proc rate.

They do if you know what to mill.
