How to really help RED CROSS

General Discussion
How about just even for the time being allow us PAYING customer's with an active account and poistive Battle.net balance to use that money to purchase just the Cinder Kitten Pet?

Hey, what do you think. Why to this day we still cannot use that balance for anything more than faction changes, race change stuff like that I have no clue. I am not even asking for letting us use it to buy game time (though I think that should be done) just let us use it for this to actually HELP out. Maybe even let us buy all the mounts or pets like that, do you really lose money for letting someone spend theirs to get a digital mount or flag an account to be able to have a pet ... my thoughts are no.

So maybe I can get a BLUE Response here about this for the time being just about the Cinder Kitten Pet let us put our Battle.net Balances to good use!
How to really help Red Cross:

Donate directly to them, don't expect anything in return. Don't demand that a game company give you more of an incentive to "donate" by purchasing a pet.
please stop using good intentions like the charity drive to get changes made to a game that has nothing to do with it further than trying to help out.

Yes and many of us already have, all I am saying is if any company is going to do something like this why not let your customer's have everyway possible to help out seems cut and dry to me and in no way game changing.
Using Battle.net Balance for more goods and services is certainly something we're working toward. We're kind of in an in-between stage where we have some services working together but not others, and unfortunately it's just not a simple thing to get as many systems and platforms (some dating back to the original release of WoW) as we have updated and integrated into a more cohesive experience. We'll get there though, and in the meantime I do apologize you weren't able to get the Cinder Kitten yet using Battle.net Balance.

Many many many thanks for a nice outlook on the future and yes the pet meant nothing to me in game just thought it would be a good way to use my balance that is doing nothing, always nicer to give when you can in my eyes.
I think people that are oh so passionate about giving to the Red Cross should stop complaining and make a donation, regardless of when the pet does, or doesn't come out or whether it can be done on battle.net.
About time someone was honest. ^^

I agree with you, but not everyone likes giving something and getting nothing in return. At least this way they have something they can see and remember that they made a difference every time they look at it.

Have you guys and gals at blizzard, thought of - for the mean time - adding a button or something, for those who wish to get it with their battlenet balance but would want their money going to the red cross (since i assume this wouldnt be something that could be done by the 31st of december) that would allow the account to be flagged in a way that shows "this person would like to purchase the cinder kitten, paying by battlenet balance, and that money will go to the red cross once we are able to allow customers to pay with battlenet balance" - or even extending the date, until after a point you can allow players to pay using battlenet balance?
