90's Nostalgia

Wyrmrest Accord
I've been thinking and wistfully rewatching my fav cartoon shows from the 90's. Anyone here loved them then? I mean, sure the 80's had great ones, but the dark imagery and humor of the 90's shows were awesome and frankly some of the best.

Animaniacs and Extreme Ghostbusters are on the top right now, but there's so many.

Anyone else have a favourite one? Which ones do you miss and enjoyed watching?
I miss the Scooby Doo I grew up with.

The current day Scooby Doo cartoons I've seen are just awful.

I want to punch Fred in the face.
I'm more of an 80's kid but I -loved- Batman the animated series.

:D
Ah batman the animated series, such a good show.

I miss Felix the cat, Earthworm Jim, Reboot, Freakazoid, Tales from the Cryptkeeper, Freaky Stories, and so many more.

Even YTV was darker. I remember they played alot of 3D animation throughout the programming, at a time when it was all still new. It seemed like it took a darker stance, not sure how to really convey it, to be honest. Just felt that way, and I liked it. Everything had edge to it, even if it was false or just minor. And the humor seemed fun.

Just me rambling I suppose, could just be my perspective.
Angry Beavers. AAAAH real monsters (or something like that), wild thornberry, lol....oh man. Pokemon. So many good 90s cartoons. I was looking for a show to entertain my goddaughter with yesterday and I saw that Rugrats was on and I squeeeeeed. That was my favorite show as a kid.
"Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

Gods... Scared me every time.
Hah. B:TAS was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread. Swat Kats was also a great show—a great shame it got canned by the networks at the height of its popularity.
I had a few favourites - Captain Planet, Pinky & the Brain, Doug, Carmen Sandiego, & Rugrats. Though the 90s were more about the live-action shows for me (Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, VR Troopers, Are You Afraid of the Dark, MMPR). :D

Speaking of Carmen Sandiego, I really loved the live-action PBS game show. I always felt bad anytime someone got Africa to find Carmen though.
It's something I do notice though. It feels like the 90's showcased horror more in it's programming, which I love. Are you Afraid of the Dark, Goosebumps, Freaky Stories, Tales from the Cryptkeeper, There was another one I can't recall, a high school around the same concept. Also then there's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oh and even shows like Felix the Cat.

Yet I don't see that anymore. Cartoons today seem tame in comparison.
Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers, Ren and Stimpy, Boy Meets World, first season of Pokemon, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, VR Troopers, Beetleborgs, Rugrats, Doug, Superman Animated, Batman Animated...you know, I am proud to say I've seen at least one episode of each in the past 12 months.

But I must have more. Thanks OP, you made me want to rewatch my childhood. >:( This'll take forever!
Ah, back in the good ol' days before some parents really started to go crazy with censorship and what not.

Thankfully Netflix has some of those shows on their internet plan so I can watch them. I used to have a crush on the adult version of the mermaid girl from Reboot... Damn I can't remember her name.

xD
AndrAIa. or Andraia without the pun. Good times. And it's true, I suppose it was the lack of parental censorship that allowed those shows to be what they were. Shame, really, nowadays.
Oh and I miss the Aladdin series. I love Disney, guilty pleasure, and I loved that show. It was fun to watch.
Ren and Stimpy was probably one of my very favorites.
