Patch didn't download.

Technical Support
Hello.
I downloaded the patch, but when I try to open wow, after I imput my password, there's a load screen, then it tells me to restart to download the patch. Then it says try again later and if the problem persists, reinstall or contact technical support.

The problem persists. I didn't see an error code.

Which patch are you referring to?

I'm actually not sure. It doesn't say which patch.
Whisper

You sure it's for WoW and not Diablo III? Diablo III had a patch yesterday.

If it's for Diablo, then how do I open WoW? It won't let me log in because I don't have this patch it says it couldn't download.
Whisper

Are you using the WoW launcher to start the game or are you using the wow.exe? You should be using the launcher, since that is what handles the new patches. What version do you see in the bottom left corner of the login screen?

I used the launcher. It starts the download, which I just waited through again (it took a couple hours) and I'm still can't login due to the same error message. It says version 5.1.0 in the lower left corner of the login screen.
Could be the 5.2 prepatch files.

Can I see a copy of your conection.log file from your Logs folder ?
Try this:

1. Make sure that Windows is set to show hidden files.

Here's how to do that: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Show-hidden-files

2. Navigate to the C:\ProgramData folder and delete the Battle.net folder and the Blizzard Entertainment folder.
3. Navigate to the WoW folder and delete the "Updates" folder.
4. Launch WoW.

Let me know what happens.

In saw this answer on one of the other topics when I was looking for people with the same issue and wasn't sure what to do because I use a Mac. Can I delete the same things if I'm using a Mac?
I suspect you can - you could try the Mac Technical forum. You Apple folk have your very own forum :)

Yes, you can delete the same folders on a Mac, but the process is a little different.

Here's a support article that covers how to delete the Battle.net folder for Macs: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/deleting-battlenet-tools-folder-mac?utm_source=internal&utm_medium=support_forums&utm_campaign=BlizzardCS

Here's one for how to delete the Battle.net Cache: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/deleting-the-battlenet-cache-folder-mac
