Ok, NOW I hate Windows 8...

Games, Gaming and Hardware
Post Limit:
Can't even get into my computer because I don't have a recovery DVD (my fault, yes, but the point stands) to access Safe Mode, and I'm stuck on this "preparing automatic repair" loop that is impossible to skip...

GG, Microsoft =.=
Oh dear...Well, good luck with it. I just got a new computer Saturday with Win8 on it and haven't had a bit of trouble (yet). Mine has a recovery partition on it, so I won't need to make discs. Didn't yours have that?
I thought everyone hated it.
Safe mode is Shift-F8 during boot rather than just F8. Not their fault you didn't make an OS disc.
Windows 7 is superior due to the fact that it doesn't try to cater to every single possible device that uses a windows OS.

Too many bells and whistles made it just worse than better. They should have kept it a PC exclusive, but money talks.

Have I mentioned today that I love you, Downlo?

Now I just need to find a blank CD...

Nope. Shift+F8 gives me Windows Boot Manager (which leads to the loop) and Enter Setup, which leads to something else entirely that doesn't have a "restart in safe mode" option
Just wait for the next one. It seems like every other version is terrible.

Win95 - Well... it was pretty revolutionary, but not perfect by any means.
Win98 - Much better.
WinME - I don't even know anyone who used it.
WinXP - Excellent for me. Never had issues.
WinVista - Sucked.
Win7 - Love it.
Win8 - Retarded.
Win9 - OMG GONNA BE THE BEST THING EVAR! :D

Just my personal opinion. :D
Ok so I got the recovery disk...now I just need to figure out how to change the boot order so it'll come up first =.=
You can do that in the Bios, but I can't remember offhand the key combo to do that. I'll bet Downlo or someone else knows it--or Google. :-)

Edit: Shouldn't the machine just boot from the recovery CD if it's bootable?

I've look all over, can't find anything on google, and can't find any option in the BIOS. Just starting up regularly brings up the Windows Boot Manager, which is causing the loop, before the CD drive
Here's some pictures if it can help anything

You set up your boot priorities within bios? Cd before hard disk.

That's the problem. I can't find where to do that
UEFI BIOS is what I have
Ok I figured out how to boot the CD

Now I just have to figure out how to restore my system...
!@#$ this, I give up until someone that actually knows %^-* about computers comes by. I have a raid to lead tomorrow, damn it!

Oh well, thanks for trying guys. Hopefully things are at least not completely !@#$ed...
