Esbjorn Svensson Trio, live in Burghausen

While we're redirecting threads, let's move all the RP threads to the World's End Tavern.

You do realize that the egos on World's End Tavern spontaneously combust the moment anyone from Moon Guard visits there, right?

Imagine what would happen when more than one person is there.

Then all of the guild recruitment posts to the Guild Recruitment forums, then all of the threads regarding lore can go to the Story forums.

Good riddance to all this Moon Guard Forum-inappropriate rummage.

It'd become a better place?

I love electronic music played the way it was designed to be heard - in a mix. DJs get a bad rap because most people think it involves little more than playing one song after another, "so why should this guy get famous for playing other peoples' music?", right? Well, there's a lot more to a good mix than just playing one song after another.

The right mix can take you on a journey, seamlessly flowing from one song into another, combining elements of one piece with elements of another, changing and evolving in style.

These are some of my favorite DJ mixes, some new, some old - ones that I love - from over the years:

Jahmontee's "Up in the Clouds" (Glitch/Trancey Dubstep/Brostep)
https://soundcloud.com/jahmontee/up-in-the-clouds-dj-mix (free)

Brian Moontribe's "From Us to You 9" (Minimal/Techno)

John Kelley's Funkydesertbreaks2 (Trancey Breaks/Tech House)
(Not online anywhere, legally, but this page has a good description and sample) http://www.thebedroomdj.com/thebedroomdj_064.htm

DJ Sosei's Liquid Radio, Episode 8 (Liquid Drum and Bass)
http://www.mixcloud.com/DJ_Sosei/dj-sosei-liquid-radio-8/ (free)

Each and every one of these is an example of pure DJ genius, enjoy =)
Two Steps From Hell, Immediate Music and the Beatles are some of my favroit music ever, but there's plenty other music I like.

Also, this:

Final Fantasy 1000 words, Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission, Mass Effect 3 not sure what the song name is, but the part where earth gets attacked and you see the boy die.
This one seemed appropriate with summer starting up here.

Been getting into trip-hop recently. I've only got entry level stuff like Massive Attack, UNKLE, Tricky, and Sneaker Pimps so far.

If anyone on the board uses last.fm, feel free to add me. I haven't been particularly active the last month or two due to work/school overload.

Lately i have been loving The Cure a lot..

I saw them in Frankfurt, Germany, back in 1987 ... day before Halloween, IIRC.

Awesome concert, though not sure how much I would like them 26 years later ... :)
Been listening to this Technical Thrash Metal band from Russia that put out one album in 1992 and then disappeared. They were so ahead of their time:

Im big into Bollywood item songs (India Cinema) So I have a minor playlist of songs that I listen to while I play:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9ySOP8PYEI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnuosKzu2Ig (My favorite PVP song)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSaaNGMPl_g

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7kv9nuhTB8 (On of my favorite)

It's all in Hindi but when you watch the films with subtitles they make more sense. I've honestly found myself able to tolerate Bollywood music more then I do normal american music anymore. Isn't that sad?
Probably this but you'll need a stout heart, an open mind, and a strong stomach for this:

It wasn't my 1st choice (The Commercial Album, but I'd have to make a 40 track Youtube playlist. Not worth it), but this'll do.
