Getting extremely High World Latency

I'm having these same issues now. Just started for me a couple days ago, so it's spreading. My traceroute times out much sooner than others are showing.

I also did a pathping. I'm deleting the number to my home router, but the rest is here:

I get that the NSA can pressure AT&T with ease but surely you guys are the next best thing, right? Blizzard? You guys gotta have some money. Need money? Have another half off transfer sale. I'm sure you'll bring in a lot more money.

Really tired of random MS spikes. I'm lucky enough to be the only on in my raid with them too, so I look like the biggest dbag right now.
Haven't seen an update in 5 days now...I hope someone is still looking into the issue. My ISP has done all they can. They told me no matter how they route me and they have tried several routes, it will always hit ATT along the line right before Blizzard Servers and that is where the issue is.

<Fevorishly Touches Wood> I have been pretty stable as of late (82 MS-88 MS). I do get the occasional spike but not nearly as bad as has been when I first reported in May during the Pre-Patch push.
Conspiracy - NSA lurking hard on our internets and dragging us into the dirt for their own gain. Rude as knobs.
Not renewing my game time until this is fixed, and would like that to be in time for arena tournament ....
I paid for pingzapper today, and my latency problems completely disappeared. I've been playing all afternoon with 90ms (not lagging).

I think that proves that it's not a problem with our computers/modems/routers/ISPs. It's AT&T..
I got AT&T Wireless connection and I can't even play, as soon as I get in game the lil icomp icon screen goes from green to red, its almost comical to watch the latency numbers climb high like a slot machine. I can play other online games with no problems such as Swtor, GW2 and just downloaded Neverwinter to see about latency and had no problems. So why is it just WoW that does not like AT&T? Very frustrating

Not only have I, but others have posted page after page explaining the issue in great detail. AT&T routing. I'm getting insane latency in general. Not just WoW, everything. Windstream (my ISP) is incapable of fixing it because AT&T will not fix it themselves.
For almost the last hour, I have been experiencing:
Alterac Mountains - average of 4000 ms latency, compared to:
Proudmoore - 50 ms latency

That's a huge contrast. Everything else works fine, I can view HD videos on YouTube, etc. Very curious. I did log out, restart my computer and router (but I didn't restart the modem…), to no noticeable difference.
My wife and I both

Undermine US (Connecting to Mug'thol works fine.)
Me Win 7, her Win 8, both 64bit
Windows Default Firewall
Router Cisco something. Not an issue - direct connection worked fine.
ISP Shaw Communications
Wired and Wireless both
Surrey, BC, Canada

My main toons are on Sargeras and I have been getting horrible world latency for weeks now and the game has become pretty much unplayable. Here is my trace route I just did tonight. I am not terribly knowledgeable with what it all means so if someone would be so kind to explain where the drop off is happening I would appreciate it. I brought the issue up with my ISP and they aren't seeing issues on their end. So thanks for any explanation to this. (Router address has been X'd out)

They're not responding because they have no idea what to do.
There isn't much they can do without finding new ways to route around AT&T and I don't see how that's possible. AT&T refuses to handle these issues, they've stated so themselves to customers complaining about their older DSL service and also their Uverse service. All we can do is pray there are tier 2-3 techs working at AT&T to fix the problem and that they eventually will.

Just remember that this is just a bandaid and we shouldn't have to pay to play this game, more than our current subscription price. They still need to find a fix.

Day 20 of unplayable world latency.
Was linked to this by Lunaga, just going to add in my tracert and pathpings, just follow the URL.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/9309481952

I called Bliz and they said it was on their end and that they forwarded my info on to their techs, but I'm not sure how reliable that info is.

I was perfectly fine until the 16th, then all of a sudden when I took a break and later reconnected it just started going nuts on the MS. Seeing upwards of 3000ms as the usual number, home ms of only 40.

Connected to Executus, which is in a diff battlegroup and was only at 20 world ms. Kind of sucks the two realms I play on are on the same IP going through this AT&T crap.

Edit: Just also wanted to edit in, that I have no problems with other games at all. Including Neverwinter, GW2, Planetside 2. No problems with webpages or loading youtube videos. It's just these 2 battlegroups for me (Rampage/Shadowburn).
I took the past week off from the game, in hopes things would get better....they have not.

I could post more pathpings, tracerts, etc, but it just shows the same crap, high spikes at AT&T routing.

My subscription is up in a couple weeks, if its not fixed by then I'm going to get my life back :-)
(and $15 a month)

Is pingzapper still working?
Question about Pingzapper...can you create your own Point-to-Point Tunnel? Or is that against the ToS?

It seems silly to have to pay for that service when Windows 7 seems to be able to do that.

Then again, I am no expert.

The use of Pingzapper is completely legitimate, as long as it is used solely to connect to the game servers directly. However, Blizzard does not back the use of tunneling clients. This is probably for legal reasons, I'm assuming. A blue confirmed this some time ago: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1772571793#4

As far as using it to create your own tunnel for use in anything that is not connecting to a game server for the sole purpose of playing the game on that server, Pingzapper strictly forbids this in its own Terms and Conditions (http://pingzapper.com/terms).
Is pingzapper still working?

It's still working for me. I've been able to do dungeons again for the first time since I was level 30 lol.
