Just started Hearthstone and I'm currently 4-0 in Casual. Loving it!
The thing is that in all of my matches, this deck comes alive late-game rather than early-game and I've been close to death in all of them

I made a simple change to this deck since both the worgen and amani zerker are single cards which mean you have a very high chance to not draw them in early game when you need them most, and I put a mind vision and the thought steal (or w/e they are named) which serve a double role - they both give you cards, and from opponent hand / deck (which is amazing vs all other decks pmuch, you can end up with buffs, CC, dmg, creatures). You can never have a perfect draw since is all RNG, and this just gives you more options, and remain viable no matter at what point in the game you draw them - IMHO.
NVM that, replaced mind vision and thought steal with 2 sunfury protectors, they fit perfectly in the deck, can be either played early with buffed clerics or mid game with yeti's or gurubashi's (and gives you the taunts you need vs aggro decks, while you still have 2 grizzly bears and shieldmasters as taunts). Am enjoying this much more tbh :)

Ok, after the first several games I quickly noticed a few things that may help new guys adjust the deck to their needs. Mind Control isn't very useful anymore, the extra 2 mana used to get it out just isn't available. By the time you get to 10 mana, you're either near the win and taking another minion won't seal the deal or you're fighting to just fend off the impending death.
Here's what I end up having happen. I run out of cards as I hit 10 and the game is near over because I've controlled the board well and win. Or I get poor RNG and can't seem to get cards to play as the game winds on. Many times I've found myself with extra mana at the end of a turn and have 10+ cards in my deck that I cant get to.
There isn't much middle ground I see, either you dominate and wipe the board the entire game or you're playing catch up and never seem to be able to. This is ok, it seems there's been a bit of balancing take place and the game is coming along nicely.
Wow. This is just what a crummy player like me needed. Finally with this deck I'm moving on in the ranks and getting some experience after failing horribly earlier on.
It's surprising how annoying a character like Northshire Priestess can be with a few buffs... usually carrying me through the game after I planted her on round 1 :)

This deck is amazing for a beginner like me.
What I have noticed, is that early on in the game, you lose a lot of health. Then you get your big cards, use spells for his big cards or Mind Control, and you just obliterate.
So far I've won most of my games in this deck, but when I have lost it's due to the opponent drawing a big card when we both have no cards in our hands.
Replaced Darkscale Healer with Argent Commaders
Gnomish Inventors with Cult Masters(got them for free). I hate the Inventors.
1. The Grizzly needs to go and I'm thinking Injured Blademasters...
2. Then replace Yetis with Spellbreakers/ Spellbreaker+Irond Dwarf/Defender of Argus.
3. River Crocs With Wild Pyromancers (you have many low cost spells + more AOE besides nova is nice)
4. Replace Cult Masters with Azure Drakes.
After I get lazy and pay enough money to have couple legendaries, i'm thinking about replacing 1x Mind Control and 1x Shadow Word: Death with Ragnaros and Sylvanas Windrunner.
Also later Replacing 1x novice engineer with Bloodmage Thalnos.
Or is that a completely terrible plan? Any suggestions?
