Mana Tide and Flametongue Totems

I used to use flametongue and now I use mana tide. Generally I will drop a mana tide behind a good sized taunter or good board control. If it stays on the board it is wonderful for you. If it gets hexed/poly'd/etc. then that is one less removal for your opponent to use on the big guns.

if you are behind and has no board control, mana tide will only offer you a 1 draw and it will likely be destroyed.

if you are ahead, mana tide can get you a ton of cards and win easily.

A lot of the shaman cards seem to be like that. If I am ahead this helps me win more easily. If I am behind, this is useless.
