I have a question regarding this closed beta:
1. Will we keep all the cards we unlock and can continue using them during the release of the game? Even the cards we got from the Arena packs?
2. Or everything will reset when game is officially launched?
I need a legit BLUE POST answer for this one please because am hearing different opinions and answers about it, thank you!
in MTG, Yes we pay 15 to get cards.. but think about it... you paid 15$ to keep all of your 45 cards you just drew... thats 1 rare/mythic 3uncommon and 11 commons per pack. now in this game you have a very hard time to get that 150 gold because you are limited to 1 single quest a day. meaning you cannot get more then 1 pack every 2-3 days or enter arena every 2-3 days. and once you enter the arena, unless you are uber good to get the 7 packs keys. you are screwed by simply gaining about 1-2 packs if lucky per 2-3 days.
so basically, if you have to pay 5 times 2$ to get 5-6 packs.. then you are already at 10$ not to mention that even though they say you get 1 rare absolutely, there is no way to think that that rare will not be a thrash one. so basically you are paying almost more then MTG drafting system to get the very same value.
in the end its a hell on earth for anybody playing the free game to get anything. and to those who pay, they have to pay a lot more then 15$ to actually get good cards.
- pump the arena entry to say 15$ but you get to keep the cards.
- pump the number of quest to 3 a day. that way people get to gain gold a tad faster. enabling free players in getting at least 1 pack a day which is good.
- pump the dust disenchantment value in order to get an easier time getting cards out of disenchantment.
there isn't much more ways to do that.
I understand this game is free to play, i understand the pay to win being a necessity. i play a lot of MTG and pump out 1200$ per year into it. so i know how that plays. but right now im doing all i can to get my game up. unfortunately this game is way too random right now. and that randomness makes the game too unbalanced. games are often decided by that legendary you drop and if the opponent has drawn out his game or not. if he hasn'T that legendary screws you. not to mention some legendaries are just crap to begin with.
i often also lose games because my deck draws my draws over and over while he draws all his creatures. i also lost games to the fact that certain classes are just that much better then my own. exemple of shamans, shamans are great in theory... but unless you are very lucky, any situation you can think of with your cards are just lower strat then say a mage. in the end certain classes are just that great compared to others who are just that lame.
overall this game is totally unbalanced...
that balance would be less big if classes were better balanced. like certain abilities costing 1-3 instead of all costing 2.
and the balance in card would be better if people had a tad easier way to gain them.
The answer is in the FAQ
I kind of hate the b.net launcher... I never needed it for any of your other titles before, why do I have to have it now? Also, why do games that have never been tied to it before now automatically open it such as D3?
This is just like when Arena of Heroes made me download a bunch of Rextar crap I didn't want and ended up uninstalling anyway. Free to play should be just that, free to play, not free to play so long as you put these strings on and let us make you dance...
