Hm, like you I got Antonidas out of a pack, and I came here looking for a good mage deck.
I'm going to give this one a try asap!
Btw, why Sunfury Protector and not Defender?

#1 random match vs. Paladin.
Ending it at 28 health.
Paladin zero.

#2 random match vs. Shaman
Ending it at 22 health.
Shamen zero.
That was a weird match. 90% of it it only gave me minions, and the match ended at 16 cards left, of which most must have been my spells.

I have since dropped one of the arcane missiles for one more Mirror Image and dropped the 2 Acolyte of pain's and picked up two Tauren Warriors and have gotten even better results. Closing in on level 3 today.

Did you consider using Raging Worgens instead of Tauren Warriors?

Ya I have but a lot of the times you just need that extra taunt or two to help u live. Usually the tauren warriors will be dead in one turn as will the raging worgen most of the time anyways so I'd rather just have it be a taunt..

A legendary studded priest just beat the hell out of me.
Ragnaros, round 7, I think, black knight next round.

You're probably right.
Switching for the taunters.

Won vs. a Warlock.
Was at like 22 health.
Btw, the Archmage seems mostly dead weight.
I've only played him once in the last few matches, and I seem to have trouble drawing spells, but otherwise it goes well.

Close against hunter and Warrior, but won

A few things I realized, playing this deck.
1. I only used the Archmage once in like 15 matches now.
2. I barely ever draw spells. I usually stand at using 2 spells at most per match.
Everything else is minions.
3. Due to that Mana Wyrm is mostly removal bait. I barely ever get him to 2, not even talking 3.
4. Shaman outspellcasts you massively.

Its not an easy deck to play. It takes getting use to playing the deck. You need to learn how to make efficient trades and be able to maintain direct damage on the hero every turn.

Hm, on the first glance it looks less aggressive than the first version.
I don't have Ragnaros, but the others, so I'll try it out later.

The legendary is the strongest card in the deck. Game ender so to speak. It's a very minion-strong deck, so you're mostly just trying trade efficiently, keep on the attack, and push cards into your hand as fast as you can to get the archmage out. And don't waste the arcane missiles on early game. At 10 mana you can drop the archmage, 2 arcane missiles and a mirror image, that gets you 3 fireballs. GG.

You kinda the need the legendary.

You don't have draw issues with that deck? I always feel like I have card issues. I put in a ton of draw monsters in my deck and I still have card issues sometimes.

Looks interesting. I don't have Archmage Ant. yet, but when I get it, I will be ready to try this out. Right now, Ysera is holding his place. :)

I realize that completely changes the deck, but for now... I can at least learn how to play the rest of the deck perhaps?
