Priest seems like such a silly class

I decided a couple days ago that I wanted to make a fun priest deck which essentially is just a bunch of combos and good cards shoved into a single deck, including:

- Wild Pyromancer/Card draw cleric/circle of healing or holy nova
- Lightspawn with Health Buffing/doubling cards
- Lightwell with inner fire, card draw cleric
- Gurubashi berzerker with wild pyromancer/healing/health doubling

It works really well and is incredibly fun, and looking at some other priest decks, it looks like they ride mostly on gimmicks like this. Not to bomb on the priest class too much, but it seems like a lot of the class is built around abusing mechanics and getting lucky with draws. It seems like they could use some more rooted, consistent cards.

Does anybody else feel this way?

Most gimmick priest decks will get crushed the second you get to the rank where people know enough to save removals or silences.

Cleric draws aren't "lucky". You have to know when you play a cleric to maximize draw.

Priests have a low win rate. A lot of that is because some people think the only way to play a priest is to use gimmicks, which get crushed against most good players. Priests are alright we just struggle against the early aggro decks you see so many of.
