Hearthstone will not install

Hi i just started the installer on my macbook pro 15in, 16gb ram, os 10.8.4, 2.7ghz computer. I am getting stuck at "Installing Battle.net... (65%)" and it is sitting there for a good 30min now. i doubt it is still installing. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

when i close the installer and reopen, it says it is "updating battle net agent" and is stuck there. Also as a side note i live in a college dorm so that may or may not effect it.

Possibly.

I'll need a LogGoblin :

Email it to bluespacecow@gmail.com , include the forum name you use on this forum as well as a link to this thread

For some reason LogGoblin didn't include those files in the zip. Try zipping the Agent.2045 folder , renaming it to something then emailing it to me.

I got the same experience as the OP in his first two posts, I quit the installer app again (third time), opened it, entered my admin password and then after immediately held down the command and option keys (old Mac trick). It then asked me for my install location and resumed at the 65%, but this time it finished. I'm installing right now.

Thanks!! It worked.

I did it right after I put my password it. It got stuck at 65% for a brief moment, then continued to install.

AFAIK It's having issues updating the battle.net tools.

Unfortunately I'm at work so this will have to wait until I'm at home to check out.

I got it working!!!!! I tried the command option key several ways, and after 10-15min of mucking around with it, it finally fixed it and not it looks like its installing, i asked me to sign in and now its on the battle net client showing the mulitple games and its on hearthstone and its waiting for multiple updates, so ill let it run for a while and hopefully the issue is resolved, thanks to DarkRitual!!!!

and Huge thanks to Bluespacecow for helping to dig into this.

ill update later and let yall know if it installed.

Hmm

I've just noticed your LogGoblin reports don't have the BDA listed.

Mine has this in system.html at several places :

/Applications/Battle.net.app/

Yours doesn't appear to have it installed at all.

Did you try to install that first ?

The battle.net app installed. However when it got stuck on installing and gave me the following error:

Woke up this morning and gave me a pop up window that said; "failed to download a required file. Please check your internet connection and try again."

Then it says more help: "BLZBNTAGT000008A4" as a link (https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/failed-to-download-files-from-battlenet), when i go to the link it just talks about security programs or wireless connections being a problem. But in response to this, i am not running any security programs and i am on a wired connection.

I had the problem where it would stall at 65 or sometimes fail to get to the point of installing files. I was able to install it from Safe Mode (hold <shift> during boot). Once it was installed I restarted in normal mode and the game loader was in my applications folder. Hearthstone now works. Haven't tried other blizz titles yet.

Need to figure out which file it's having issues downloading.

That should be someone in Agent logs. Send me another LogGoblin thanks.

Heh. The file it's having issues looks to be a torrent for the Battle.net Desktop App.

I'm uploading a copy of my BDA for you to use.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/m7dwaj5lafcyfow/BDA1.0.2.3618.zip

Download that then restart. Then unzip and throw it in the Applications folder , replacing what's there.

I thoroughly went through your instructions and it seems that i am still stuck on "initializing" and eventually get the same error i had before. The "failed to download " a required file or update thing.

As as side note i don't know if this will effect it or not but, i was able to play wow today when 5.4 came out. So i was able to play wow but hearthstone seems to not want to go through.
