So you may have heard by now... StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty launched! As players sink their teeth into the single-player campaign and work to climb up the multiplayer ladder, let us take a look back at all of the information that’s circulated this week.

Welcome back to the Reconnaissance Report.

In our last report, we covered Lost Temple, an updated favorite from the original StarCraft with an incredibly versatile layout. This time, in honor of the official launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, we'll be going over Scrap Station, a brand-new map that will be sure to create some interesting matchups.

Our first patch for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is now live. This small patch addresses a few technical issues and makes some server-side optimizations; however, there are a couple of changes worth mentioning which are detailed in the official patch notes below.

The power to annihilate a planet is insignificant when compared to the power of information.  Nothing exemplifies this maxim more than the brilliantly executed program of inspiration, indoctrination, and admonition that has been unleashed over the course of this propaganda art contest.  Indeed, the results have been truly impressive, but now the contest has drawn to a close.  The votes have been counted and the time has come to recognize 11 propagandists whose efforts have most swayed the hearts and minds of their peers.  Let us congratulate the winners on their victory and witness bask in their rewards.

None of us were born experts—even professional gamers had to start somewhere. With the release of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, everything is new again and we're all discovering new strategies. This process may be easier for StarCraft veterans than for someone trying out their first RTS, so we’re asking our more experienced players to take a moment or two to share a few pearls of wisdom with all the newcomers entering this brave new world. The transition from beginner to veteran can be challenging, but with the community's help they’ll do just fine.
