Fry's Launch Event - Good Game

StarCraft II is now live world-wide, and the Fry's event here on the west coast is winding down with plenty of happy players leaving with their copies. As the line filed inside, spectators still waiting in the queue got to watch a final 2v2 match pitting Blizzard's Rob Lin and attendee Tri-Vien Nguyen against Blizzard's Matt Gotcher and attendee Patton Tran. After Matt and Patton claimed victory in the first game, the two teams swapped members for a rematch, with Rob and Patton coming out victorious.

Meanwhile, the line continued inside, as the over 1,300 attendees had a chance to get their copies signed by dozens of StarCraft II developers and Blizzard employees.

And around the world, the sound of happy players clicking their mice and tapping their keyboards fills the air.

BTW, I appreciated the bands that played. I know it is most likely people were a little turned off by the music, but listened in game, it fits great.

I want to thank all the Battle.Net coders and art team for giving me a hug as I went down the line. I hope that somewhat represented my gratitude. Is their someway I could give the art team a fan letter @Zarhym (Sorry, I might not be the only one.), cause I feel like I bumbled like a nervous child near the end at the Fry's Store.

Yea, after standing for 7+ hours in line, I must say it was a blast to be there and it was awesome to chit chat with the Dev team and other Blizzard employee's while they were signing copies. Had an awesome time there and hope to see you all again at Blizzcon in a little less than 3 months ^_^.

Drove up from San Diego for the Fry's Fountain Valley launch cause my store (San Marcos Fry's) didn't get a midnight launch. I got my C.E. signed by everyone. Got to talk with Samwise a bit while he signed my art book, totally cool guy. Truly an epic fan experience for me and I'll totally be at the launch event for the next game(s). Although you guys looked way tired, I'd love to be sitting at the table signing copies with all of you one day. Such a unique and awesome company! I'm going through the game credits right now and matching out all of your names to signatures. gg

@Hypersonic: I hate you :(. How'd you go about doing that? -__-
@Hypersonic: Well done, Hypersonic! Kat and Kim are great. :)
@PaulDoFish: They're very good people and were perfectly willing to sign copies of the game, though tracking them down given their schedule last night may not have been as easy. ;)

@PaulDoFish: She happened to be standing right next to the end of the signatures table. She looked both tired and energized so I asked reeaaallly nicely.
@Zarhym Thx!! As a performer and host myself I totally understand, so I was extremely grateful, and I can't wait to show my support at future events *cough* cataclysm.

@Python: Did your GS do something special?
Mine did not do anything special. They had us go at 10 to finish the payment and then pick it up at midnight, that was it. So lame if you ask me. Did you have a better luck?

@Python: Yep, same here. They didn't do much other than show old battle reports and taunt us with the CE boxes, but I met a couple people who I wish I would've gotten their emails to play with later. It was pretty fun.
