After Hours Gaming League (AHGL) is the future of company sports leagues, pitting professionals from various industries against each other on the electronic battlefield. Having started with over 120 teams from 50 companies, the StarCraft II tournament showcased talented teams from across the country but has now boiled down to two: Microsoft and National Instruments. It is time to crown the victor.
National Instruments entered Season 4 as somewhat of an up-and-comer. As the #1 seed, they took down Facebook and the Google 'Zergs', before facing off against the Google ‘Googs’, taking a nail-biting 4-3 victory. Now, the struggle is real however, as they must take down their largest foe yet.
Microsoft entered Season 4 as two-time AHGL champions. They began as the #3 seed, and have established dominance by going on to win every single game this entire season. They’ve systematically swept one company after another, including the #2 seed IBM, as well as Raytheon and Blackberry. Microsoft is looking incredibly strong moving into Saturday.
The AHGL StarCraft II Finals kick off at 3:00 p.m. PDT but if you want to catch the entire event, the stream starts at 11 a.m. PDT.
