Season 5 Has Begun

The fifth StarCraft II League season has arrived! At this time, Season 4 milestones have been awarded, and bonus pools and standings have been reset. Hidden skill ratings used for matchmaking and league placement have carried over from the previous season, so players who have completed placement matches in a previous season will only need to play one new placement match to kick off the new season.

Don’t forget to review the changes to the official ladder pool for Season 5, as well, and keep in mind that Grandmaster League will start next week.

There are all these invisible units running around all the time and they are always slicing up my guys! i can never click on them and they always kill all my !@#$! i'm getting fed up with this, blizzard take out invisible units because my guys cant attack them!

@NaMo: really? use units that can scout invisible ones, ie overseers and spore crawlers for zerg, ravens and sensor towers for terran, etc. google it for more specific info...says as much if you even bothered to read the tips on the load screens -__-

@Typhon: You need to win a ton of game (with a good win ratio) Some say you need to get 800 points. But i think it's your mmr that counts. i got promoted to gold(i was silver) with 200 point. but i was playing agaisnt plat... This is a good way to know if you,re gonna promote. If you keep playing silver you're not gonna get promote, but if you play agaisnt higher league you can expect to be.

Stop whining. You got demoted because according to the system, your mmr was no longer in silver league/ whatever league you were in. If you want to get promoted, play more and win more. Stop complaining.

Why the hell did i get demoted all the way to bronze when i had so many wins in silver, now all my leagues are all bronze thanks to being demoted 3 times in each of my rankings, damn it, anyone got an answer though?

Hey can any body tell me why i dropped a whole league online.?? I was rank 15 silver and i lost 1 game and dropped all the way to 1 bronze. I have 196 points and i was way above all the other silver league. I understand if i dropped from 15 to 20 or something like that but why a hole league

@Darkside: That just happened to me, I started playing abut 2 weeks ago. I got placed in silver. At first I was liek WTF?! but then i started winning and i was like hell yeah, 43rd in my silver division thats great for a noob i lose a close battle and now i'm 5th in bronze, which is rediculous not 24 hours ago i destroid a gold player, a terran at that.

@demonfox: You have to win consecutively against favored teams/players. Try not to just log off, but continually win in a row. For me this worked, as I won and ranked up from bronze to silver and bronze to gold.

@ZergRush: maybe you were getting matched against plats that weren't doing so good and their MMR went down, making sense why you would play them. Just keep winning and playing a lot of games and you should keep advancing.

@robbymulachy: it depends what order u won them in. if u lose first they usually pair u with 4 more lower lvs so u beat 4/5 low lvs and lost to 1 higher lv
