Season 6 Has Begun

The sixth StarCraft II League season has arrived! At this time, Season 5 milestones have been awarded, and bonus pools and standings have been reset. Hidden skill ratings used for matchmaking and league placement have carried over from the previous season, so players who have completed placement matches in a previous season will only need to play one new placement match to kick off the new season.

Don’t forget to review the changes to the official ladder pool for Season 6, as well, and keep in mind that Grandmaster League will start next week.

@Andrei: Promos start as soon as you earn them. They can come in the beginning, middle, or end of a season depending on how well you play against your opponents. If you accumulate 800-1200 points, depending on your league, you get promoted at the beginning of the next season.

Over the seasons I've seen that the ranking system isnt very 'honest' to say. It's based on the score. Witch I hate and the score could be more accurat there fore making the ranming system naccurate.

I hated this. I wanted to see how I would place this time, Silver on EVERYTHING AND Gold, but anything I played last season, bronze. What a waste of an entire season with these pathetic Division matches, at least give a choice next time because I don't want to try to get into a different division, I want to get into higher leagues where cheese is less common. I want to at least know if I have to get 1,000 points all over again just to hit silver. If I have to get a whole entire 1k all over again I'm not even playing leagues this season.
