Upcoming Changes to Matchmaking

Update: It became necessary to revert the match making changes discussed below. Please refer to the official forums for details.
We’ve been closely monitoring the quality of our matchmaking since StarCraft II was released to make sure that the ladder offers the most exciting and finely tuned competitive experience possible. It’s been a great success, and because of the small skill gap between competing players, most games are tightly contested. While it’s awesome that most games are very close, this also means that both players need to constantly be at the top of their games, because the slightest mistake usually means defeat. While we think this is a fun way to play, we’re not sure if it’s fun for every match to be this way.
As a one-season experiment, we will be slightly relaxing the matchmaking settings in Season 7 to introduce more variety into the ladder. In practical terms, this means you won't always be evenly matched with your opponent. You'll regularly compete with players at slightly higher or lower skill levels, resulting in what should be a more well-rounded experience. These adjustments to the matchmaking system could also result in some players earning faster league promotions for stringing together wins against higher-ranked opponents.
As always, we will be monitoring the effects of these changes and tweaking the settings to improve the matchmaking system going forward. We’re excited to hear about your experiences and we’re looking forward to your feedback about these changes once Season 7 begins.
See you on the ladder!

I seriously dont see how this is helpful to me at all... I mean, im mid silver playing against Mid to High Golds, it isnt fair I lose more than 50% of the time and dont see how this is helpful at all. If someone could help me understand that would be great. thx.
Pick one of these problems and fix it, because I'm totally OK with sucking and being in bronze as long as, you know, I get to verse OTHER BRONZE PEOPLE.
I'm top masters team player and I quit playing "random team" games last season due to the ques lasting forever and constantly getting versus fully "arranged team" top masters. I started only playing "arranged team".
However, this season, apparently, ironically to my failing, the problem has been reversed. Now the "arranged team" games are longer ques and more difficult while the "random team" games seem to be significantly easier (I know one player who's almost 70-1 masters in "random team" 4v4s--which has always been unheard and he's not a very good player).
I believe the biggest problem with the MMR system is the mix between "random team" (RT) and "arranged team" (AT).
If AT was always versus AT and RT was always versus RT, that would be optimal.
But perhaps, due to the various servers where you can only play on one server per game purchase (which is what I hate most about going from Starcraft/Brood War to Starcraft 2), this may never happen on a practical level. I'd say it's worth trying though while doing this 'relaxed' MMR system. That way, the ques won't be too long and fully arranged teams will always compete with other fully arranged teams.
This is just my humble two cents. I honestly don't care how many issues Starcraft 2 accumulates, because I plan on quitting once Diablo 3 is released; I miss too much not being able to play with my friends in other parts of the world like in Starcraft/Brood War. But for those who continue to play Starcraft 2, I hope solutions are found for all the obvious problems that seem to be a product of company greed and apathy.
Between platinum and gold theres is a HUUUUUUUGE step that isnt covered by learning a few build and watching your replays. theres micro and being able to rebuild your army while you harass and micro combat that we simply cant do, also knowing what build your oponement is doing and how to react vs different situation. the step between bonze-silver aint much, neither between silver-gold. but to get from gold to platine and even worst facing off diamond oponent, its simply stupid
but it's fun
especially if you are the one who isn't favoured
an nyoung ha sae yo
does anyone have any idea?
