IGN Pro League 5

IGN Pro League 5

The IGN Pro League (IPL) returns to the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas from November 29 to December 2. Seventy two of the world’s best StarCraft II players will compete for their share of the $100,000 prize pool, and the prestigious title of IGN Pro League 5 Champion.

Over the past five months, top international StarCraft II players have qualified to compete in the event including MajOr, HerO, JonnyREcco, MarineKing, TaeJa, Polt and Axslav. Unlike the previous IPL tournaments, there will be no group stage at IPL5. Instead, the competitors will be battling it out in a giant double elimination bracket, and the competition will be fierce.

In addition to four full days of IPL5 Finals competition, attendees will witness intense Global StarCraft II League (GSL) action, with the GSL Season 5 Code S Semifinals, and the Grand Finals live from Las Vegas. It’s a rare privilege for eSports fans to see the GSL venture outside of Korea, but IGN and GSL are going a step further by hosting a special Korea All Stars vs. World All Stars event, with fan-voted competitors battling for glory on the last day of the event.

If you’re interested in attending the IGN Pro League 5 in November, early bird tickets for IPL5 are on sale until September 30, 2012. For the full list of qualified competitors and the competition schedule, visit the IPL5 StarCraft II site, and for more information about ticket options, visit the ticket sales site.
